Moser’s conditions are utilized in this study by employing the iterative scheme of Henrard for transforming the Hamiltonian to the Birkhoff’s normal form with the help of double D’Alembert’s series. It is found that L4 is stable for all mass ratios in the range of linear stability except for the three mass ratios μc1, μc2 and μc3, which depend upon the perturbations ε1 and ε1 in the Coriolis and centrifugal forces respectively and the parameters A1,A2,A3 and A4 which depend upon the semi-axes a1,b1,c1;a2,b2,c2 of the triaxial rigid bodies and p, the radiation parameter.展开更多
This paper outlines the vibrational motion of a nonlinear system with a spring of linear stiffness. Homotopy perturbation technique (HPT) is used to obtain the asymptotic solution of the governing equation of motion. ...This paper outlines the vibrational motion of a nonlinear system with a spring of linear stiffness. Homotopy perturbation technique (HPT) is used to obtain the asymptotic solution of the governing equation of motion. The numerical solution of this equation is obtained using the fourth order Runge-Kutta method (RKM). The comparison between both solutions reveals high consistency between them which confirms that, the accuracy of the obtained solution using aforementioned perturbation technique. The time history of the attained solution is represented through some plots to reveal the good effect of the different parameters of the considered system on the motion at any instant. The conditions of the stability of the attained solution are presented and discussed.展开更多

The stability conditions, which are derived in the frequency domain, have the following features: i) They involve the positive definiteness of the real part (as evaluated on |z| = 1) of the product of Г (z) and a matrix multiplier function of z. ii) For periodic A(k), one class of multiplier functions can be chosen so as to impose no constraint on the rate of variations A(k), but for aperiodic A(k), which allows a more general multiplier function, constraints are imposed on certain global averages of the generalized eigenvalues of (A(k + 1),A(k)), k = 1, 2 iii) They are distinct from and less restrictive than recent results in the literature.展开更多
