This paper mainly focuses on the negative language transfer in college English writing. Through analyzing the manifestations of negative language transfer at the morphemic, lexical, syntactical and discourse level, the paper makes a further study on the causes that lead to the negative language transfer, which are cultural differences and different modes of thinking. Based on all the analysis, the paper suggests some strategies of how to teach English writing more efficiently from three aspects: reinforce the input of language knowledge, reinforce the input of culture knowledge and teach writing as a process.展开更多
