Online identification and extraction method of regional large-scale adjustable load-aggregation characteristics

This article introduces the concept of load aggregation,which involves a comprehensive analysis of loads to acquire their external characteristics for the purpose of modeling and analyzing power systems.The online identification method is a computer-involved approach for data collection,processing,and system identification,commonly used for adaptive control and prediction.This paper proposes a method for dynamically aggregating large-scale adjustable loads to support high proportions of new energy integration,aiming to study the aggregation characteristics of regional large-scale adjustable loads using online identification techniques and feature extraction methods.The experiment selected 300 central air conditioners as the research subject and analyzed their regulation characteristics,economic efficiency,and comfort.The experimental results show that as the adjustment time of the air conditioner increases from 5 minutes to 35 minutes,the stable adjustment quantity during the adjustment period decreases from 28.46 to 3.57,indicating that air conditioning loads can be controlled over a long period and have better adjustment effects in the short term.Overall,the experimental results of this paper demonstrate that analyzing the aggregation characteristics of regional large-scale adjustable loads using online identification techniques and feature extraction algorithms is effective.

A Review on Physical,Online and Hybrid Teaching and Learning Pedagogy for Fashion Design Courses in China

In undergraduate fashion design education,the main focus is on clothing design,fashion brand garments,and design trends,especially on how to create and market these designs.Higher vocational education emphasizes developing design skills and methods,transforming design processes,and managing clothing production.In China,the first undergraduate major in fashion design started in 1983 at Suzhou Silk Institute of Technology,which used to be linked to the Ministry of Textile Industry.The mode of teaching and learning delivery of fashion design courses just like other courses,started with face-to-face teaching in physical classroom and practical training classes.However,due to fast development in educational technology and movement restriction during COVID-19 pandemic,the fashion design education is adapting the innovative learning management system and revolutionized into online and hybrid delivery of teaching and learning content.In this review,fashion design courses in China education system will be elaborated and comparison of physical,online,and hybrid delivery of fashion design course will be discussed.

Constructing Online Open Courses in Geriatric Nursing for Secondary Vocational Schools Using the OBE Framework

Based on the Outcome-Based Education(OBE)concept,the design of the secondary vocational online open course“Geriatric Nursing”plays a crucial role in enabling students to effectively acquire relevant knowledge and skills in geriatric nursing.First,an integrated design of learning outcomes should be established in line with the OBE framework,clearly outlining the competency levels students must achieve in geriatric nursing.Second,a structured curriculum must be developed to address the practical needs of geriatric nursing roles,ensuring course content aligns with real-world applications.Lastly,it is essential to implement a student-centered approach that combines online and offline teaching,prioritizing the learning experience and personalized needs of students.Adhering to the principles of“integrated design,structured curriculum,and blended teaching,”the development of the“Geriatric Nursing”online open course facilitates the transition from discipline-oriented to goal-oriented instruction and shifts the focus from teacher-centered to student-centered learning,ultimately advancing the training of geriatric nursing professionals.

Statistical Analysis of Students’Learning Effectiveness in Online Courses Offered by British Partners in China-UK Joint Education Program

In the context of internationalization,China-UK Joint Education Programs are receiving increasing attention from universities.Based on the difficulties faced in China-UK Joint Education Program,this paper adopts a questionnaire survey method to study the learning effectiveness of students majoring in digital media technology in the China-UK Joint Education Program at Guangxi University of Finance and Economics,focusing on four aspects:learning materials,learning content,teacher conditions,and student learning outcomes.The research analysis in this paper not only provides strong support for the construction of China-UK Joint Education Program but also offers references for other China-UK Joint Education Programs.

Open Courseware(OCW)and massive open online courses(MOOCs)are teaching and learning resources that are easily accessible to anyone with an Internet connection.OCW is digitally published learning content including full and partial courses(syllabi,outlines,lectures in pdf or video,slides,reference lists,etc.),simulations,animations,tutorials,drills and practices,modules,podcasts,case studies,and quizzes.This content is free and can be adopted or adapted to the user's needs.MOOCs are online learning experiences taught by university professors using conventional educational tools including video lectures,interactive modules,assignments,study materials,discussion boards,quizzes and tests.MOOCs are offered free or at low cost for personal and professional learning,and as a supplement to classroom teaching.Many MOOCs and OCW focus on topics of interest to nursing,particularly to nurse educators.This article provides the reader with a brief history of the development of OCW and MOOCs,conceptual descriptions,and guidance about how to access and use these new online resources.

No More Excuses - Personality Traits and Academic Dishonesty in Online Courses

Academic dishonesty is a disturbing issue in higher education that has been worsening over the years, especially with the appearance of the internet and the e-learning education. This new technology exposes students to the opportunity of using online bank exams and term papers and increases their tendency to cheat. This study investigates student academic dishonesty in the context of traditional and distance-learning courses in higher education. Data from 1,365 students enrolled in academic institutes in the U.S.A and Israel were surveyed to assess their personality and their willingness to commit various acts of academic misconduct. The findings indicate that in both countries dishonest behaviors are greater in face-to-face courses than in online courses. In addition, both American and Israeli students identified with the personality trait of Agreeableness showed a negative correlation with academic dishonesty. Furthermore, Israeli students identified with the personality traits of Conscientiousness and Emotional Stability demonstrated a negative correlation with academic dishonesty. In contrast, the personality trait of Extraversion among American students was found in a positive correlation with academic misconduct. Implications for further research are discussed.

Research and Practice of the “Independence + Integration” Moral and Self-cultivation Teaching Method for Online Specialized Courses

In the context of the COVID-19 outbreak,online teaching has spread rapidly.However,the existing research on moral and self-cultivation teaching methods for online courses remains inadequate.This paper proposes an“independence+integration”moral and self-cultivation teaching method for online courses.The method divides the targets of moral and self-cultivation teaching into independent and integrated ones,and fits them both explicitly and implicitly into the online teaching of specialized courses in higher education.When this method was employed to teach engineering mechanics to industrial design students at a college in China,it effectively increased the students’acceptance of online courses as well as their understanding of moral and self-cultivation knowledge and the course itself,and improved the quality of online teaching.The method provides a new way of thinking about online moral and self-cultivation teaching.

A Survey of Online Course Recommendation Techniques

With the development of information technology, online learning has gradually become an indispensable way of knowledge acquisition. However, with the increasing amount of data information, it is increasingly difficult for people to find appropriate learning materials from a large number of educational resources. An Online English Course Teaching Model Based on Scene Simulation

In order to improve the English online courses teaching scene adaptability, optimize the online English teaching mode, improve the quality of English teaching, an English online course teaching platform is proposed based on scene simulation. B/S client communication protocol is constructed in network transport layer, and the scene simulation model of English Online Course Teaching is established, online English teaching platform designed in this paper is constructed based on the sensing layer, network layer and application layer. A data processing center is constructed in the B/S structure and the network environment, Open Core kernel is used to realize the optimization of teaching model of English online courses, improve the teaching platform of online courses, and improve the scene adaptation ability. The test results show that the platform for online English teaching has better independent learning ability, the effectiveness of online English course teaching is better, test objects have higher satisfaction with English Online Course Teaching.

This study investigates the application of the teaching model combining cooperative learning and flipped classrooms in university basketball courses in China.By analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the traditional basketball teaching model and students’satisfaction with the course,the necessity of implementing cooperative learning and flipped classrooms is proposed.The study planned in detail the implementation strategies before class,in the classroom,and after class,and compared them with the control group through an experimental design.The experimental results showed that the new teaching mode demonstrated significant advantages in terms of learning outcomes,student satisfaction,and teacher evaluation.This study provides a valuable reference for the future reform of the physical education curriculum.

A Construction Method of Online Course Portrait Based on Feature Engineering

With the emergence of massive online courses,how to evaluate the quality of courses with different qualities to improve the discrimination between courses and recommend personalized online course learning resources for learners needs to be evaluated from all aspects.In this paper,a method of constructing an online course portrait based on feature engineering is proposed.Firstly,the framework of online course portrait is established,the related features of the portrait are extracted by feature engineering method,and then the indicator weights of the portrait are calculated by entropy weight method.Finally,experiments are designed to evaluate the performance of the algorithms,and an example of the course portrait is given.
