Online identification and extraction method of regional large-scale adjustable load-aggregation characteristics

This article introduces the concept of load aggregation,which involves a comprehensive analysis of loads to acquire their external characteristics for the purpose of modeling and analyzing power systems.The online identification method is a computer-involved approach for data collection,processing,and system identification,commonly used for adaptive control and prediction.This paper proposes a method for dynamically aggregating large-scale adjustable loads to support high proportions of new energy integration,aiming to study the aggregation characteristics of regional large-scale adjustable loads using online identification techniques and feature extraction methods.The experiment selected 300 central air conditioners as the research subject and analyzed their regulation characteristics,economic efficiency,and comfort.The experimental results show that as the adjustment time of the air conditioner increases from 5 minutes to 35 minutes,the stable adjustment quantity during the adjustment period decreases from 28.46 to 3.57,indicating that air conditioning loads can be controlled over a long period and have better adjustment effects in the short term.Overall,the experimental results of this paper demonstrate that analyzing the aggregation characteristics of regional large-scale adjustable loads using online identification techniques and feature extraction algorithms is effective. 展开更多

No More Excuses - Personality Traits and Academic Dishonesty in Online Courses

Academic dishonesty is a disturbing issue in higher education that has been worsening over the years, especially with the appearance of the internet and the e-learning education. This new technology exposes students to the opportunity of using online bank exams and term papers and increases their tendency to cheat. This study investigates student academic dishonesty in the context of traditional and distance-learning courses in higher education. Data from 1,365 students enrolled in academic institutes in the U.S.A and Israel were surveyed to assess their personality and their willingness to commit various acts of academic misconduct. The findings indicate that in both countries dishonest behaviors are greater in face-to-face courses than in online courses. In addition, both American and Israeli students identified with the personality trait of Agreeableness showed a negative correlation with academic dishonesty. Furthermore, Israeli students identified with the personality traits of Conscientiousness and Emotional Stability demonstrated a negative correlation with academic dishonesty. In contrast, the personality trait of Extraversion among American students was found in a positive correlation with academic misconduct. Implications for further research are discussed. 展开更多

The recommender system has been widely used in various Internet applications due to its high efficiency in filtering information, helping users to quickly find personalized resources from thousands of information, thereby alleviating the problem of information overload. In addition, due to its great use value, many new researches have been proposed in the field of recommender systems in recent years, but there are not many works on online course recommendation at present. Therefore, this paper aims to sort out the existing cutting-edge recommendation algorithms and the work related to online course recommendation, so as to provide a comprehensive overview of the online course recommender system. B/S client communication protocol is constructed in network transport layer, and the scene simulation model of English Online Course Teaching is established, online English teaching platform designed in this paper is constructed based on the sensing layer, network layer and application layer. A data processing center is constructed in the B/S structure and the network environment, Open Core kernel is used to realize the optimization of teaching model of English online courses, improve the teaching platform of online courses, and improve the scene adaptation ability. The test results show that the platform for online English teaching has better independent learning ability, the effectiveness of online English course teaching is better, test objects have higher satisfaction with English Online Course Teaching. 展开更多
