The deposition of high-quality diamond films and their adhesion on cemented carbides are strongly influenced by the catalytic effect of cobalt under typical deposition conditions. Decreasing Co content on the surface of the cemented carbide is often used for the diamond film deposition. But the leaching of Co from the WC-Co substrate leading to a mechanical weak surface often causes a poor adhesion. In this paper we adopted an implant copper layer prepared by vaporization to improve the mechanical properties of the Co-leached substrate. The diamond films were grown by microwave plasma chemical vapor deposition from CH4:H2 gas mixture. The cross section and the morphology of the diamond film were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The non-diamond content in the film was analyzed by Raman spectroscopy. The effects of pretreatment on the concentrations of Co and Cu near the interfacial region were examined by energy dispersive spectrum (EDS) equipped with SEM. The adhesion of the diamond on the substrate was evaluated with a Rockwell-type hardness tester. The results indicate that the diamond films prepared with implant copper layer have a good adhesion to the cemented carbide substrate due to the recovery of the mechanical properties of the Co-depleted substrate after the copper implantation and the formation of less amorphous carbon between the substrate and the diamond film. 展开更多

The early stage hydration mechanism of cellulose ether modified thin layer cement pastes was studied, using brick as the matrix. Samples of 6 h, 24 h, and 3 d and 7 d hydration time were analyzed to study the hydration law on the surface of high water-absorbing matrix. Hydration products were qualitatively and semi-quantitatively analyzed using XRD, TG-DSC-DTG, FTIR and SEM. The experimental results show that there is no enough water for 2 mm thick cement pastes to hydrate, because of rapid water absorption of matrix. Trace amounts of Ca (OH)2 was detected after three days hydration. With the prolongation of hydration time, the category and concentration of hydration products do not change. Compared with 2 mm thick cement pastes, 6 mm thick cement pastes and 10 mm thick cement pastes have lower dehydration rate and water loss. The humidity field of the cement paste show different changes within the same time. 6 mm thick cement paste and 10 mm thick cement pastes have longer time and more water to hydrate. Ca(OH)2 and ettringite were detected after 6 hours hydration and the concentrations of hydration products increased from 24 hours to 7 days. 展开更多

The purpose of this study is to apply the steel coated by cement paste to evaluate the corrosion inhibition of NO_(2)^(-) intercalated Mg-Al layered double hydroxides(LDHs),which was prepared by a conventional calcination-rehydration method. The chloride equilibrium isotherm,open-circuit potential(OCP)and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)of steel in the saturated Ca(OH)_(2) solution contaminated by chloride ions were measured. The microstructures of as-obtained LDHs and cement paste containing the LDHs were observed by scanning electron microscope(SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR)and mercury intrusion porosimetry(MIP).It is found that the technique using the steel coated by the cement paste layer containing the LDHs to represent the steel in real concrete can be applied to accurately evaluate the corrosion inhibition performance of NO_(2)^(-) intercalated LDHs in a short duration. The addition of NO_(2)^(-) intercalated Mg-Al LDHs can improve the absorption capacity of Cl^(-) and the anti-corrosion property of cement paste layer. The combination actions of the refinement of pore structure, uptake of chloride ions and release of inhibitive NO_(2)^(-) contribute to the better corrosion protection property of cement paste layer. Moreover,a schematic mechanism of chloride intrusion for the steel specimen with cement paste layer is developed. 展开更多
