With low concentration of stable lead isotope as the tracer, using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), the lead absorption of tea plants as well as the distribution and migration pattern of lead in plants under different pH environments and spraying introduction of lead sources were studied through pot trial. The results showed that tea plants were very sensitive to atmospheric lead source pollution; atmospheric lead source pollution had a tendency of moving up to the top (bud) ; low pH conditions enhanced lead absorption of plants and promoted upward migration of lead in plants. The experimental method is closer to the actual situation that plants are exposed to low concentration pollution, and could distinguish experimentally introduced lead source from environmentally introduced lead source. 展开更多

Five groundwater monitoring wells were set perpendicular to Xiao River, the research reveals the migration law and distribution characteristics of poisonous metal lead, through collecting and analyzing soil samples at different depths, investigating lithologic structure and pollution. The result shows that soil type has great impact on vertical lead distribution in aeration zone, which means that lead concentrates more in clay than in sand. Lead migrates fast in silty soil and silty clay, but slow in sand. The content of lead soil adsorbed decreases with grain size increasing. The most important factor influencing the distribution of lead is the soil type. 展开更多

A dynamic composite model for a soil-water system that can be used to simulate the movement of leachate from a landfill. The composite model includes nine sub-models that trace water movement and the migration and transformation of five pollutants(organic N, NH - 4, NO - 3, NO - 2, and Cl -) in saturated and unsaturated soil. The model to simulate the movement of leachate from a landfill in Laogang Town, Shanghai City was used. In this application, the values for the model parameters were obtained by performing a laboratory simulation experiment of water movement and pollutant migration and transformation in soil columns. Soil and leachate obtained from the landfill site and its vicinity were used in the laboratory experiments. The model was then used to simulate leachate movement and pollutant activity during the ten-year period when the landfill was in operation and in the twenty-year period following its closure. The simulation results revealed that the leachate migrated into the groundwater at the rate of 90—100 meters per year. This model can be applied in the design of future landfills in China for the purpose of assessing and forecasting leachate plumes. 展开更多

Coal is widely utilized as an important energy source,but coal-fired power plant was considered to be an important anthropogenic lead emission source.In the present study,the distribution characteristics of lead in coal and combustion by-products are reviewed.Specifically,lead is mainly transferred to ash particles and the formation and migration mechanisms of particulate lead are summarized.Also,targeted measures are proposed to control the formation of fine particulate lead as well as to increase the removal efficiency during the low-temperature flue gas clean process.In detail,interactions between gaseous lead and some coal-bearing minerals or added adsorbents could obviously suppress the formation of fine particulate lead.On the other hand,some efforts(including promoting capture of fine particles,reducing resistivity of particles and strengthening the gas-liquid contact)could be made to improve the fine particulate lead removal capacity.Notably,the formation mechanism of fine particulate lead is still unclear due to the limitations of research methods.Some differences in the removal principles of fine particles and particulate lead make the lead emission precisely control a great challenge.Finally,the environmental potential risk of lead emission from flue gas and ash residues is addressed and further discussed. 展开更多

The transformation behaviors of Pb fractions during composting of Pb-polluted waste without inoculants and with the inoculants of Phanerochaete chrysosporium were studied.Results show that the active Pb ions with high toxicity and transferability are transformed into the inactive Pb with low toxicity and transferability,confirming that Pb ions can be efficiently immobilized during composting without or with the inoculants.The soluble-exchangeable Pb in composting without inoculants reaches 49.0 mg/kg at day 60,while that with the inoculants is reduced to 0 mg/kg dry mass compost.The higher contents of organic-bound Pb (59.0 mg/kg)and residual Pb(69.2 mg/kg)with low toxicity are found after 60-day composting with inoculants,compared with those without inoculants.The above data indicate the better immobilization effect of Pb and the greater alleviation of Pb hazards in composting with the inoculants of Phanerochaete chrysosporium than without inoculants,which may be due to the more microbial biomass and the higher pH value in composting of Pb-polluted waste with inoculants. 展开更多

In lead iodide the phenomenon of polytypism is posing an interesting problem of phase transformations amongst its various polytypic modifications. The transformations have also been observed even when the crystals are stored for few months. It causes deterioration in functioning of PbI2 devices. Taking into account the known structures of PbI2 and the data available on the mode of growth and storage of crystals, it has been concluded that purified melt grown crystals of PbI2 are the best suited for nuclear radiation detectors. 展开更多

The detection of hypersonic targets usually confronts range migration(RM)issue before coherent integration(CI).The traditional methods aiming at correcting RM to obtain CI mainly considers the narrow-band radar condition.However,with the increasing requirement of far-range detection,the time bandwidth product,which is corresponding to radar’s mean power,should be promoted in actual application.Thus,the echo signal generates the scale effect(SE)at large time bandwidth product situation,influencing the intra and inter pulse integration performance.To eliminate SE and correct RM,this paper proposes an effective algorithm,i.e.,scaled location rotation transform(ScLRT).The ScLRT can remove SE to obtain the matching pulse compression(PC)as well as correct RM to complete CI via the location rotation transform,being implemented by seeking the actual rotation angle.Compared to the traditional coherent detection algorithms,Sc LRT can address the SE problem to achieve better detection/estimation capabilities.At last,this paper gives several simulations to assess the viability of ScLRT. 展开更多

Based on the microscopic phase-field model, the structure and migration characteristic of ordered domain interfaces formed between DO22 and L12 phase are investigated, and the atomistic mechanism of phase transformation from L12 (Ni3Al) to DO22 (Ni3V) in Ni75AlxV25-x alloys are explored, using the simulated microstructure evolution pictures and the occupation probability evolution of alloy elements at the interface. The results show that five kinds of heterointerfaces are formed between DO22 and L12 phase and four of them can migrate during the phase transformation from L12 to DO22 except the interface (002)D//(001)L. The structure of interface (100)D//(200)L and interface (100)D//(200)L·^1/2[001] remain the same before and after migration, while the interface (002)D//(002)L is formed after the migration of interface (002)D//(002)L·^1/2[100] and vice versa. These two kinds of interface appear alternatively. The jump and substitute of atoms selects the optimization way to induce the migration of interface during the phase transformation, and the number of atoms needing to jump during the migration is the least among all of the possible atom jump modes. 展开更多

Transforming growth factor-bi (TGF-β1), a multi-function polypeptide, is a double-edged sword in cancer.For some tumor cells, TGF-β1 is a potent growth inhibitor and apoptosis inducer. More commonly, TGF-β1 loses its growth-inhibitory and apoptosis-inducing effects, but stimulates the metastatic capacity of tumor cells. It is currently little known about TGF-β1-promoted cell migration in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells, let alone its mechanism. In this study, we found that TGF-β1 lost its tumor-suppressive effects, but significantly stimulated cell migration in SMMC-7721 human HCC cells. By FACS and Western blot analysis, we observed that TGF-β1 enhanced the expression of α5β1 integrin obviously, and subsequently stimulated cell adhesion onto fibronectin (Fn). Furthermore, we observed that TGF-β1 could also promote SMMC-7721 cells adhesion onto laminin (Ln).Our data also provided evidences that TGF-β1 induced epithelial-to-mesenchymal transformation (EMT) in SMMC-7721 cells. First, SMMC-7721 cells clearly switched to the spindle shape morphology after TGF-β1 treatment.Furthermore, TGF-β1 induced the down-regulation of E-cadherin and the nuclear translocation of β-catenin. These results indicated that TGF-β1-promoted cell adhesion and TGF-β1-induced epithelial-to-mesenchymal transformation might be both responsible for TGF-β1-enhanced cell migration. 展开更多

In-situ observations on α/γ phase transformation were made to study the effects of grain boundary microstructures on the formation of a new phase and the migration of α/γ interphase boundary in an iron4. 2%Cr alloy. It was found that triple junctions with more random boundaries could be the primary nucleation sites for a new phase, while triple junctions with low angle or low ∑ coincidence boundaries did not play any role as preferential sites. The migration of α/γ interphase boundary during heating over the transformation temperature range showed the two stage behaviour characterized by a stage with a migration velocity of 0. 33-0. 75 mm/s and secondly by a stage with 3. 7-7. 6 mm/s. It was also found that abnormal grain growth and a high density of ∑3 coincidence boundaries could occur in a phase with bcc structure after cycling of α/γ phase transformation. A new mechanism of nucleation and growth of a new phase in α/γ phase transformation is proposed on the basis of roles of plane-matching interphase boundaries, as previously discussed on the origin of anisotropy of grain growth due to the migration of {110} plane-matching boundaries in Fe-3z%Si alloy. The most recent theoretical work on the distribution of plane-matching boundaries in solids with different crystal structures was found to be useful for the understanding of nucleation and growth during α/γ phase transformation. 展开更多

A major issue in the development of Lead halide perovskites is the assessment of the crystal structure of the samples,due to their typically limited time-stability,and the understanding of the role of external factors that can induce a crystal phase transformation(such as humidity,intense light flux,temperature,etc.).In this perspective,it is of utmost importance to have at disposal a fast and reliable experimental tool able to give an immediate indication of the polymorph of the sample with the possibility to integrate in-situ measurements for constant monitoring.In this paper we propose Raman spectroscopy as the ideal technique to solve this problem.The vibrational analysis of CsPbI3 in the a-phase and 5-phase and of the Cs4PbI6 secondary phase is reported and all the vibrational modes are assigned by comparing experimental spectra of the phases to Raman modes calculated within the DFT framework.Finally,the mechanism of laser induced phase degradation was studied using in-situ Raman measurements providing new insights on the secondary phase generated during the process. 展开更多

A better understanding of nitrogen (N) diffusion and transformation in soils could reveal the capacity of the biological inorganic N and improve the efficiency of N fertilizers. A field micro-plot experiment was carried out to study the effects of fertilization methods (mixed uniformly with 12 cm top soil, placed in holes at a 12-cm depth, or placed in furrows at a 12-cm depth) and forms of N fertilizers (urea and ammonium phosphate) on the dynamics of soil N’s vertical diffusion and horizontal migration in red-yellow soil. The soil inorganic N ( NH4+-N and NH3--N) content following point deep placement was greater than that from mixed or furrow applications. Under point placement, the migration of soil inorganic N in urea and ammonium phosphate treatments occurred in the 6 - 15 cm layer at a horizontal distance of 0 - 9 cm. However, the nutrient preservation capability of the soil receiving ammonium phosphate was greater than that receiving urea under point deep placement. Thus, point deep placement had a tendency to increase the inorganic N in the soil and reduce inorganic N loss, which probably occurred due to the reduced soil volume with which the N fertilizer was mixed. According to crop growth and fertilizer requirements, the optimized fertilizer placement and N species resulted in a continuously high nutrient supply to crops for 90 d. However, the effects of point deep placement on increasing the N-use efficiency and reducing N loss have to be evaluated under natural field conditions. 展开更多

Least-squares reverse-time migration(LSRTM) formulates reverse-time migration(RTM) in the leastsquares inversion framework to obtain the optimal reflectivity image. It can generate images with more accurate amplitudes, higher resolution, and fewer artifacts than RTM. However, three problems still exist:(1) inversion can be dominated by strong events in the residual;(2) low-wavenumber artifacts in the gradient affect convergence speed and imaging results;(3) high-wavenumber noise is also amplified as iteration increases. To solve these three problems, we have improved LSRTM: firstly, we use Hubernorm as the objective function to emphasize the weak reflectors during the inversion;secondly, we adapt the de-primary imaging condition to remove the low-wavenumber artifacts above strong reflectors as well as the false high-wavenumber reflectors in the gradient;thirdly, we apply the L1-norm sparse constraint in the curvelet-domain as the regularization term to suppress the high-wavenumber migration noise. As the new inversion objective function contains the non-smooth L1-norm, we use a modified iterative soft thresholding(IST) method to update along the Polak-Ribie re conjugate-gradient direction by using a preconditioned non-linear conjugate-gradient(PNCG) method. The numerical examples,especially the Sigsbee2 A model, demonstrate that the Huber inversion-based RTM can generate highquality images by mitigating migration artifacts and improving the contribution of weak reflection events. 展开更多

Short term incubation(6 h)with TGF-β1 enhanced CLPF migration,while long term treatment(6 d)of CLPF with TGF-β1 reduced migration to 15%-37% compared to untreated cells.FN and FN isoform mRNA expression were increased after short term incubation with TGF-β1(2 d)in contrast to long term incubation with TGF-β1 for 6 d.After induction of migration, TGF-β1-preincubated CLPF showed higher amounts of FN and its isoforms and lower levels of total and phosphorylated FAK than untreated cells. CONCLUSION:Long term incubation of CLPF with TGF-β1 induced differentiation into myofibroblasts with enhancedα-SMA,reduced migratory potential and FAK phosphorylation,and increased FN production.In contrast,short term contact(6 h)of fibroblasts with TGF-β1 induced a dose-dependent increase of cell migration and FAK phosphorylation without induction ofα-SMA production. 展开更多

However,there is no standard guideline for data transformation from relational database toNoSQL database. A number of schema transformation techniques have been proposed to improve data transformation process and resulted better query processingtime when compared to the relational database query processing time. However,these approaches produced redundant tables in the resulted schema that in turnconsume large unnecessary storage size and produce high query processing timedue to the generated schema with redundant column families in the transformedcolumn-oriented database. In this paper, an efficient data transformation techniquefrom relational database to column-oriented database is proposed. The proposedschema transformation technique is based on the combination of denormalizationapproach, data access pattern and multiple-nested schema. In order to validate theproposed work, the proposed technique is implemented by transforming data fromMySQL database to MongoDB database. A benchmark transformation techniqueis also performed in which the query processing time and the storage size arecompared. Based on the experimental results, the proposed transformation technique showed significant improvement in terms query processing time and storagespace usage due to the reduced number of column families in the column-orienteddatabase. 展开更多

BACKGROUND The androgen responsive gene,ELL-associated factor 2(EAF2),expressed in benign prostate tissues,has been shown to play an important role in tumor suppression in a variety of malignant tumors.In addition,some scholars found that EAF2 frameshift mutations are associated with intratumor heterogeneity in colorectal cancer(CRC)and inactivation of EAF2 in microsatellite instability-high CRC.However,the molecular mechanism by which EAF2 is involved in CRC invasion and metastasis remains unclear.AIM To determine the clinical value of expression of EAF2 protein in CRC,and to study the effects of EAF2 on the invasion,migration,and angiogenesis of CRC cells in vitro.METHODS In this study,we collected colorectal adenocarcinoma and corresponding adjacent tissues to investigate the clinical expression of EAF2 protein in patients with advanced CRC.Subsequently,we investigated the effect of EAF2 on the invasion,migration,and angiogenesis of CRC cells in vitro using plasmid transfection.RESULTS EAF2 protein was lowly expressed in cancer tissues of patients with advanced CRC.Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed that the survival rate of the high EAF2 level group was higher than that of the low EAF2 level group.CONCLUSION Our results demonstrated that EAF2,as a tumor suppressor,may inhibit the invasion,metastasis,and angiogenesis of CRC cells by regulating the signal transducer and activator of transcription 3/transforming growth factor-β1 crosstalk pathway,and play a cancer suppressive and protective role in the occurrence and development of CRC.Our findings are of great significance to provide a new idea and theoretical basis for the targeted diagnosis and treatment of CRC. 展开更多
