Research on the Construction of a Landscape Engineering Teaching Resource Library Under the“4321”Industry-Education Integration System

This paper studies and explores the construction of a teaching resource library for landscape engineering under the“4321”industry-education integration system,focusing on the construction objectives,construction paths,and construction contents,aiming to open-up the channel of school-enterprise cooperation,improve enterprise participation,and promote the reform of teaching mode and teaching methods.Establishing a practical resource library will connect and integrate students,teachers,and enterprises.A complete library of landscape-oriented teaching resources will be constructed according to the talent portraits of the industry to open-up the relationship between upstream and downstream courses,and further improve the precise fit between the cultivation of applied undergraduate talents and enterprises.

A preliminary study on criteria weights for a library's digital resource selection:From the viewpoints of both users and librarians

Through investigating both users' and librarians' perceptions of the relative importance of the major criteria governing the selection of digital resources, we attempted to develop a criterion weight framework for a library's selection of digital resources, which can meet both the users' requirements and the library's goal of developing digital collections. The respective weight of each specific criterion is decided through the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) Method. The findings of this study indicate that, when assigning weights to the selection criteria, it is important to consult the opinions of a wide crosssection of people, especially the views of different users. As a result, the digital resource selection system characterized by the criteria weights can reflect more comprehensively the users' requirements, and meanwhile it enables librarians' more rational selection of digital resources.

From institutional merger integration to institutional strategic transformation:A case study of the strategic management paradigm at Shanghai Library

This article attempts to apply the strategic management theory to the subsequent shaping up of a readjusted strategic development policy for Shanghai Library after its merger with the Institute of Scientific and Technological Information of Shanghai(ISTIS)in 1995.It also tries to analyze and explicate such an empirical implementation of institutional reintegration process through strategic management at Shanghai Metropolitan Library.By doing so,it aims to present an objective case study of activities based on the strategic management paradigm at a major Chinese metropolitan public library.

Graduate education of library science in China:Current status and recommendations for improvement

More than twenty years ago,Wuhan University and Nanjing University offered library science(LS)graduate programs.Since then,LS graduate education has been growing quickly in many aspects.At the same time,however,LS graduate education was also facing enormous challenges stemming from the dynamic development and wide applications of information technologies into the pedagogical arena of teaching and learning at all levels.Social evolution also made it necessary for LS educators to re-examine once again their graduate education model,curricular composition,educational philosophy and educational missions.In analyzing the present situation of LS graduate education in China,this paper focuses on the following issues:1)Growing size of LS graduate education(quantity and quality);2)educational objectives,including research direction and placement for graduates;3)structure of knowledge and curricular construction;4)conditions of administering a library school of high quality and 5)the management of teaching resources.The keystone of this paper is to pinpoint where current library science curricular deficiencies are lying.It is hoped that more serious scholarly discussions and perhaps also even concerted efforts among LS scholars and library practioners may be evoked in having the graduate education system of library and information science thoroughly realigned for the informational needs of the 21st century.

A Preliminary Study of the Training of Drawing Skills for Civil Engineering Majors in Higher Vocational Colleges Under the “1+X” System

Architectural engineering drawing skills are one of the important standards of talent ability that construction enterprises pay attention to.Under the“1+X”system,as a pilot college of“1+X”in higher vocational education,and according to the standards of“Vocational Skill Level Certificate in Architectural Engineering Drawing,”a channel to improve students’core working skills is explored through the implementation of the teaching reform.

A Three-Dimensional Case System Model for Programming Course

This research aims to construct a case resource library for programming course,which can be used for either teachers’teaching or students’learning.The cases cannot be simply piled up but rather require a systematic planning.The solution to this is to design a case system model.The outcome-based education(OBE)concept is adopted to guide the research,and a three-dimensional case system model matching the course objectives is designed.Under the guidance of the model,the case resource library construction is more planned.Cases based on the model can provide all-round support for the cultivation of students’ability by gradually promoting knowledge and technology,frequently exercising one’s abilities,as well as expanding diverse and innovative problems.
