The paper deals with the dynamic response prediction of the composite structure,which consists of two linear components coupled by some nonlinear vibration isolators. Based on the measured impulse response functions of the linear components, three kinds of dynamic equations of interfacial integration are proposed and a procedure to transform the dynamic equations of integral type into a set of ordinary differential equations is suggested. Computer simulations and a real test are given to verify the effectiveness of the theoretical results. 展开更多

The reduction approaches are presented for vibration control of symmetric, cyclic periodic and linking structures. The condensation of generalized coordinates, the locations of sensors and actuators, and the relation between system inputs and control forces are assumed to be set in a symmetric way so that the control system posses the same repetition as the structure considered. By employing proper transformations of condensed generalized coordinates and the system inputs, the vibration control of an entire system can be implemented by carrying out the control of a number of sub-structures, and thus the dimension of the control problem can be significantly reduced. 展开更多

In this paper, we prove the existence of at least one positive solution pairto the following semilinear elliptic systemby using a linking theorem, where K(x)is a positive function in L^s(R^N) for some s 〉 1and the nonnegative functions f, g ∈ C(R, R) are of quasicritical growth, superlinear atinfinity. We do not assume that f or g satisfies the Ambrosetti-Rabinowitz condition as usual. Our main result can be viewed as a partial extension of a recent result of Alves, Souto and Montenegro in [1] concerning the existence of a positive solution to the following semilinear elliptic problemand a recent result of Li and Wang in [22] concerning the existence of nontrivial solutions to a semilinear elliptic system of Hamiltonian type in R^N. 展开更多

Dependability analysis is an important step in designing and analyzing safety computer systems and protection systems.Introducing multi-processor and virtual machine increases the system faults' complexity,diversity and dynamic,in particular for software-induced failures,with an impact on the overall dependability.Moreover,it is very different for safety system to operate successfully at any active phase,since there is a huge difference in failure rate between hardware-induced and softwareinduced failures.To handle these difficulties and achieve accurate dependability evaluation,consistently reflecting the construct it measures,a new formalism derived from dynamic fault graphs(DFG) is developed in this paper.DFG exploits the concept of system event as fault state sequences to represent dynamic behaviors,which allows us to execute probabilistic measures at each timestamp when change occurs.The approach automatically combines the reliability analysis with the system dynamics.In this paper,we describe how to use the proposed methodology drives to the overall system dependability analysis through the phases of modeling,structural discovery and probability analysis,which is also discussed using an example of a virtual computing system. 展开更多
