OBJECTIVE: In China, people have relied on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for thousands of years to keep healthy and treat diseases. TCM also plays an important role in military health services and now forms a new discipline called military Chinese medicine (MCM). However, the type, quality and focus of research articles about MCM have not been reported. The present study was performed to analyze the growing trends of MCM and investigate China's contribution to military health services. METHODS: China's MCM publications were retrieved from the PubMed database, as well as China Nationa~ Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Data and Chongqing VIP database from 2005 to 2014. RESULTS: The study found that the number of published articles increased markedly from 2005 to 2014 Basic research studies comprised a small percentage of the literature. Among these studies, military training injury and special military environmental medicine were the most common research subjects in MCM. Military hospitals were the main institutions generating MCM literature. CONCLUSION: The quality of MCM research is generally low, as indicated by the proportion of publications in core journals. Studies on MCM still lack high-quality publications and internationa cooperation. 展开更多

Nowadays, natural language processing(NLP)is one of the most popular areas of,broadly understood, artificial intelligence. Therefore, every day,new research contributions are posted, for instance,to the arXiv repository.Hence,it is rather difficult to capture the current"state of the field"and thus,to enter it.This brought the id-art NLP techniques to analyse the NLP-focused literature. As a result,(1)meta-level knowledge, concerning the current state of NLP has been captured,and(2)a guide to use of basic NLP tools is provided. It should be noted that all the tools and the dataset described in this contribution are publicly available.Furthermore, the originality of this review lies in its full automation. This allows easy reproducibility and continuation and updating of this research in the future as new researches emerge in the field of NLP. 展开更多

In Japan,high-level radioactive waste and specific low-level radioactive waste which includes long-lived radionuclides are planned to be disposed of in the geological formations at depths greater than 300 m.The disposal site will be selected through a stepwise site investigation process that consists of a Literature Survey,Preliminary Investigation, and Detailed Investigation phases. In October 2020 a Literature Survey was launched in Japan at two municipalities in Hokkaido for the first time since NUMO initiated a nationwide call for volunteer municipalities in 2002,and the outcomes are currently being compiled. To enhance the public’s understanding of how to implement safe geological disposal in Japan based on the latest scientific knowledge and technology,NUMO,as the implementing organisation, developed and published a safety case for geological disposal at the pre-siting stage. This safety case provides multiple lines of arguments and evidence to demonstrate the feasibility of the geological disposal and a basic structure for a safety case that will be applicable to any potential sites in Japan. The safety case also presented some R&D challenges to enhance the technical confidence of the project, including the R&D topics related to rock mechanics. This report presents the current status of the geological disposal programme in Japan, together with the status of the Literature Survey phase and an overview of the NUMO safety case. 展开更多
