In particular, we focus on the problem of liveness enforcement and consider a sensor-reading modification attack(SM-attack) that may disguise the occurrence of an event as that of another event by intruding sensor communication channels. To solve the problem, we introduce non-deterministic supervisors in the paper, which associate to every observed sequence a set of possible control actions offline and choose a control action from the set randomly online to control the system. Specifically, given a bounded Petri net(PN) as the reference formalism and an SMattack, an algorithm that synthesizes a liveness-enforcing nondeterministic supervisor tolerant to the SM-attack is proposed for the first time.展开更多
BACKGROUND:Human CD8 + CD28 - T-suppressor(Ts) cells have been considered to indicate a reduced need for immunosuppression in pediatric liver-intestine transplant recipients and recipients of deceased heart-kidney tra...BACKGROUND:Human CD8 + CD28 - T-suppressor(Ts) cells have been considered to indicate a reduced need for immunosuppression in pediatric liver-intestine transplant recipients and recipients of deceased heart-kidney transplants.However,in adult-to-adult living donor liver transplantation(A-A LDLT)little information is available and the clinical significance is still unknown. METHODS:Flow cytometry was used to detect the population of CD8+CD28 -Ts cells present in peripheral blood in A-A LDLT recipients(n=31),patients with end- stage liver disease(n=24)and healthy controls(n=19). Meanwhile,we tested the graft function and trough levels of immunosuppression in recipients.The clinical and follow- up data of 31 transplant recipients were analyzed. RESULTS:Compared with diseased controls(P=0.007) and healthy individuals(P=0.000),a notable expansion of CD8 + CD28 - Ts cells was found in recipients of A-A LDLT.This was associated with graft function,levels of immunosuppression and rejection episodes. CONCLUSIONS:To monitor the CD8 + CD28 - Ts cells levels is important to evaluate the immune state of recipients. Meanwhile,it is also important to promote expansion of CD8+CD28 -Ts cells in recipients of A-A LDLT,not only to sustain good graft function and decrease the dosage of immunosuppressants,but also to reduce the occurrence of rejection.展开更多

In this paper, we propose a new one-hop Distributed Hash Table (DHT) lookup frarrework called Strearre ing-DHT (SDHT) to provide efficient video data location service. By adopting an enhanced events dissemination mechanism-EDRA+, the accuracy of routing table at peers can be guaranteed. More importantly, in order to enhance the perforlmnce of video data lookup operation without incurring extra overhead, we design a so-called Distributed Index Mapping and Management Mechanism (DIMM) for SDHT. Both analytical modeling and intensive simulation experiments are conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of SDHT framework. Numerical results show that almost 90% requested video data can be retrieved within one second in SDHT based systems, and SDHT needs only 26% average bandwidth consumption when compared with similar one-hop DHT solutions such as D1HT. This indicates that SDHT framework is an appropriate data lookup solution for time-sensitive network applications such as P2P live streaming.展开更多
The effects of pituitary suppression with one-third depot of long-acting gonadotropin-releasing hormone(Gn RH) agonist in Gn RH agonist long protocol for in vitro fertilization(IVF)/intracytoplasmic sperm injectio...The effects of pituitary suppression with one-third depot of long-acting gonadotropin-releasing hormone(Gn RH) agonist in Gn RH agonist long protocol for in vitro fertilization(IVF)/intracytoplasmic sperm injection(ICSI) were investigated. A retrospective cohort study was performed on 3186 cycles undergoing IVF/ICSI with Gn RH agonist long protocol in a university-affiliated infertility center. The pituitary was suppressed with depot triptorelin of 1.25 mg or 1.875 mg. There was no significant difference in live birth rate between 1.25 mg triptorelin group and 1.875 mg triptorelin group(41.2% vs. 43.7%). The mean luteinizing hormone(LH) level on follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH) starting day was significantly higher in 1.25 mg triptorelin group. The mean LH level on the day of human chorionic gonadotrophin(h CG) administration was slightly but statistically higher in 1.25 mg triptorelin group. There was no significant difference in the total FSH dose between the two groups. The number of retrieved oocytes was slightly but statistically less in 1.25 mg triptorelin group than in 1.875 mg triptorelin group(12.90±5.82 vs. 13.52±6.97). There was no significant difference in clinical pregnancy rate between the two groups(50.5% vs. 54.5%). It was suggested that one-third depot triptorelin can achieve satisfactory pituitary suppression and produce good live birth rates in a long protocol for IVF/ICSI.展开更多

Method: The SF-36 scale and social support scale were used to survey the quality of life and social support of donors of live liver transplantation. Result: The PCS (Physical Correlated Score) is 84.78 ± 13.21, the MCS (Mental Correlated Score) is 80.71 ± 14.65, and the total score is 165.49 ± 22.63. The results show the significant difference at GH (General Health) & VT (Vitality) domain regarding the age, P < 0.05;while there’s a significant difference at BP (Body Pain) domain regarding the sex, P < 0.05. The social support score of male & female donors are 37.75 ± 7.50 and 44.00 ± 4.30, and the difference is significant, P < 0.05. The MCS and the social support score are correlated, the correlation factor is 0.483, P < 0.05. Conclusion: There’s no significant difference between the donors and the normal population. The age is the risk factor of QOL, and it should be paid more attention when we select the donor. Excellent social support relates to high quality of life.展开更多
Patients with locally advanced hepatocellular cancer(HCC)and portal vein tumor thrombosis(PVTT)have a dismal prognosis since limited treatment options are available for them.In recent years,effective systemic therapy,...Patients with locally advanced hepatocellular cancer(HCC)and portal vein tumor thrombosis(PVTT)have a dismal prognosis since limited treatment options are available for them.In recent years,effective systemic therapy,and advances in the understanding of technicalities and effectiveness of ablative therapies especially radiotherapy,have given some hope to prolong survival in them.This review summarized recent evidence in literature regarding the possible role of liver resection(LR)and liver transplantation(LT)in patients with locally advanced HCC and PVTT with no extrahepatic disease.Downstaging therapies have helped make curative resection or LT a reality in selected patients.This review emphasizes on the key points to focus on when considering surgery in these patients,who are usually relegated to palliative systemic therapy alone.Meticulous patient selection based on tumor biology,documented downstaging based on imaging and decrease in tumor marker levels,and an adequate waiting period to demonstrate stable disease,may help obtain satisfactory long-term outcomes post LR or LT in an intention to treat strategy in patients with HCC and PVTT.展开更多
BACKGROUND Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)as living biopharmaceuticals with unique properties,i.e.,stemness,viability,phenotypes,paracrine activity,etc.,need to be administered such that they reach the target site,mainta...BACKGROUND Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)as living biopharmaceuticals with unique properties,i.e.,stemness,viability,phenotypes,paracrine activity,etc.,need to be administered such that they reach the target site,maintaining these properties unchanged and are retained at the injury site to participate in the repair process.Route of delivery(RoD)remains one of the critical determinants of safety and efficacy.This study elucidates the safety and effectiveness of different RoDs of MSC treatment in heart failure(HF)based on phase II randomized clinical trials(RCTs).We hypothesize that the RoD modulates the safety and efficacy of MSCbased therapy and determines the outcome of the intervention.AIM To investigate the effect of RoD of MSCs on safety and efficacy in HF patients.METHODS RCTs were retrieved from six databases.Safety endpoints included mortality and serious adverse events(SAEs),while efficacy outcomes encompassed changes in left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),6-minute walk distance(6MWD),and pro-B-type natriuretic peptide(pro-BNP).Subgroup analyses on RoD were performed for all study endpoints.RESULTS Twelve RCTs were included.Overall,MSC therapy demonstrated a significant decrease in mortality[relative risk(RR):0.55,95%confidence interval(95%CI):0.33-0.92,P=0.02]compared to control,while SAE outcomes showed no significant difference(RR:0.84,95%CI:0.66-1.05,P=0.11).RoD subgroup analysis revealed a significant difference in SAE among the transendocardial(TESI)injection subgroup(RR=0.71,95%CI:0.54-0.95,P=0.04).The pooled weighted mean difference(WMD)demonstrated an overall significant improvement of LVEF by 2.44%(WMD:2.44%,95%CI:0.80-4.29,P value≤0.001),with only intracoronary(IC)subgroup showing significant improvement(WMD:7.26%,95%CI:5.61-8.92,P≤0.001).Furthermore,the IC delivery route significantly improved 6MWD by 115 m(WMD=114.99 m,95%CI:91.48-138.50),respectively.In biochemical efficacy outcomes,only the IC subgroup showed a significant reduction in pro-BNP by-860.64 pg/mL(WMD:-860.64 pg/Ml,95%CI:-944.02 to-777.26,P=0.001).CONCLUSION Our study concluded that all delivery methods of MSC-based therapy are safe.Despite the overall benefits in efficacy,the TESI and IC routes provided better outcomes than other methods.Larger-scale trials are warranted before implementing MSC-based therapy in routine clinical practice.展开更多

This we achieve by breaking the traditional Lorenz gauge and in its place, we introduce a new Special Gauge Condition (SGC) that does the work of assuring the photon its longevity, long range-ness and that it [photon] propagates at the speed c. However, the most melancholic outcome of our investigation is that if the present scheme is what subtle Nature has chosen to endow the photon a non-zero mass so that it [photon] still obeys gauge invariance, is long ranged, long lived and travels at the sacred speed c;then, this non-zero photon mass may be very difficult, if not impossible to measure. Aiming at the disadvantage that the current Peer-to-Peer (P2P) is hard to manage and control, this paper presents a Session Initial Protocol (SIP)-based P2P network of three-level architecture. SIP middleware is introduced to the middle level of the three-layer architecture. By the connection function of the SIP signaling, the P2P transmission on media-level can be controlled. Using SIP’s register and authentication function, the manage layer can manage the whole P2P network. Based on the aforementioned architecture, this paper investigates the grouping strategy on a live broadcast application in P2P network. Combined with the function of SIP register, the paper works on several grouping strategies, sets up models to manage users by grouping them, presents a weight-based K-means IP address grouping algorithm, and realizes it. The experiment shows that the grouping strategy presented in this paper can solve the problem of group sharing of network resource, and can realize the efficient-sharing, reasonable-distributing of network resource.展开更多

The outcomes for children with hepatoblastoma have been improving in recent years due to the introduction of cisplatin-based chemotherapy regimens. Recently, performing liver transplantation after neoadjuvant chemotherapy has become increasingly advocated as a primary surgical treatment for children with unresectable hepatoblastoma involving three or four sectors of the liver. Surgical exploration is frequently required to determine which tumors are resectable, which require liver transplantation and timing of resection. When the quality of the remnant liver is in question, the decision for transplantation versus resection should be made by a liver team in experienced center with capability of liver transplantation. This report presents the findings of the patient with hepatoblastoma who successfully underwent extreme resection with a backup for living donor liver transplantation. The patient was discharged home in good condition and the follow-up continued for three years with normal AFP levels observed.展开更多

Important efforts have been conducted to study such threats and to develop countermeasures to direct attacks to the biometric verification system to ensure the security of these systems against spoof attacks and reduce this risk, by using another module that is added to the biometric verification system called the “liveness detection” which uses different anatomical properties to distinguish between real and fake traits. Thus, the robustness of the system against direct attacks can be improved through increasing the security level offered to the final user. This paper is an attempt to construct support biometric security system to protect the iris biometric verification system from spoof attacks, through integrating the iris verification system with addition module called liveness detection which composed of two sub-modules (static and dynamic). A test has been performed, for iris verification phase performed on two types of database (MMU DB) for 180 samples and (CASIA DB) for 90 samples, and gave accuracy (99.44%) with FAR of (0.0277) and FRR (0.0055) for MMU DB, and accuracy (97.77%) with FAR of (0.0333) and FRR (0.0222) for CASIA DB.展开更多

Four different small caliber projectiles were tested against SS400 ...This study presents the ballistic limit velocity of small caliber projectiles against SS400 steel plate derived from live-fire ballistic experiments. Four different small caliber projectiles were tested against SS400 steel plates of 9 mm, 10 mm, and 12 mm thicknesses. The ballistic limit velocity was calculated using two standard methods, MIL-STD-662F and NIJ-STD-0101.06, and additionally using a support vector machine algorithm. The results show a linear relationship between the plate thickness and ballistic limit velocity. Further, the relative penetration performance among five different small caliber projectiles was analyzed using the Penetration Performance Ratio(PPR) introduced in this study, which suggests the potential of PPR to predict the ballistic limit velocity of other untested materials and/or different projectiles.展开更多

This new 24-hour support center (SC) was established in 2011 in a Swedish community to better match and facilitate the disabled persons’ needs. In order to illuminate the disabled person’s experiences individual interview was performed. A phenomenological-hermeneutical method inspired by Paul Ricoeur was used to interpret the texts. After a naive reading, a structural analysis revealed two themes: 1), becoming aware of myself as a person, and 2) having a lifeline and belongingness. The comprehensive understanding was interpreted as meaning “Making me feel almost like an ordinary person”, which incorporated the person’s past with their present together with a direction for the future and hope for a more fulfilling life.展开更多
In the era of network live broadcasting for everyone,the development of live broadcasting platforms is also more intelligent and diversified.However,in the face of a large group of elderly users,the interface interact...In the era of network live broadcasting for everyone,the development of live broadcasting platforms is also more intelligent and diversified.However,in the face of a large group of elderly users,the interface interaction design mode used is still mainly based on the interaction mode for young groups,and is not designed for elderly users.Therefore,a design method for optimizing the interaction interface of live broadcasting platform for elderly users was proposed in this study.Firstly,the case study method and Delphi expert survey method were used to determine the design needs of elderly users and the design mode was analysed.Secondly,the orthogonal design principle was used to design a test sample of the interactive interface of live broadcasting platform applicable for the elderly users,and then a user evaluation system was established to calculate the weights of the design elements using hierarchical analysis,and then the predictive relationship between the design mode of the interactive interface of live broadcasting platform and the elderly users was established by Quantitative Theory I.Finally,Genetic Algorithm was applied to generate the optimized design scheme.The results showed that the design method based on the Genetic Algorithm and the combination of Quantitative Theory can scientifically and effectively optimize the design of the interactive interface of the live broadcasting platform for the elderly users,and improve the experience of the elderly users.展开更多

The social support score of male & female donors are 37.75 ± 7.50 and 44.00 ± 4.30, and the difference is significant, P < 0.05. The MCS and the social support score are correlated, the correlation factor is 0.483, P < 0.05. Conclusion: There’s no significant difference between the donors and the normal population. The age is the risk factor of QOL, and it should be paid more attention when we select the donor. Excellent social support relates to high quality of life.
文摘Patients with locally advanced hepatocellular cancer(HCC)and portal vein tumor thrombosis(PVTT)have a dismal prognosis since limited treatment options are available for them.In recent years,effective systemic therapy,and advances in the understanding of technicalities and effectiveness of ablative therapies especially radiotherapy,have given some hope to prolong survival in them.This review summarized recent evidence in literature regarding the possible role of liver resection(LR)and liver transplantation(LT)in patients with locally advanced HCC and PVTT with no extrahepatic disease.Downstaging therapies have helped make curative resection or LT a reality in selected patients.This review emphasizes on the key points to focus on when considering surgery in these patients,who are usually relegated to palliative systemic therapy alone.Meticulous patient selection based on tumor biology,documented downstaging based on imaging and decrease in tumor marker levels,and an adequate waiting period to demonstrate stable disease,may help obtain satisfactory long-term outcomes post LR or LT in an intention to treat strategy in patients with HCC and PVTT.
文摘BACKGROUND Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)as living biopharmaceuticals with unique properties,i.e.,stemness,viability,phenotypes,paracrine activity,etc.,need to be administered such that they reach the target site,maintaining these properties unchanged and are retained at the injury site to participate in the repair process.Route of delivery(RoD)remains one of the critical determinants of safety and efficacy.This study elucidates the safety and effectiveness of different RoDs of MSC treatment in heart failure(HF)based on phase II randomized clinical trials(RCTs).We hypothesize that the RoD modulates the safety and efficacy of MSCbased therapy and determines the outcome of the intervention.AIM To investigate the effect of RoD of MSCs on safety and efficacy in HF patients.METHODS RCTs were retrieved from six databases.Safety endpoints included mortality and serious adverse events(SAEs),while efficacy outcomes encompassed changes in left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),6-minute walk distance(6MWD),and pro-B-type natriuretic peptide(pro-BNP).Subgroup analyses on RoD were performed for all study endpoints.RESULTS Twelve RCTs were included.Overall,MSC therapy demonstrated a significant decrease in mortality[relative risk(RR):0.55,95%confidence interval(95%CI):0.33-0.92,P=0.02]compared to control,while SAE outcomes showed no significant difference(RR:0.84,95%CI:0.66-1.05,P=0.11).RoD subgroup analysis revealed a significant difference in SAE among the transendocardial(TESI)injection subgroup(RR=0.71,95%CI:0.54-0.95,P=0.04).The pooled weighted mean difference(WMD)demonstrated an overall significant improvement of LVEF by 2.44%(WMD:2.44%,95%CI:0.80-4.29,P value≤0.001),with only intracoronary(IC)subgroup showing significant improvement(WMD:7.26%,95%CI:5.61-8.92,P≤0.001).Furthermore,the IC delivery route significantly improved 6MWD by 115 m(WMD=114.99 m,95%CI:91.48-138.50),respectively.In biochemical efficacy outcomes,only the IC subgroup showed a significant reduction in pro-BNP by-860.64 pg/mL(WMD:-860.64 pg/Ml,95%CI:-944.02 to-777.26,P=0.001).CONCLUSION Our study concluded that all delivery methods of MSC-based therapy are safe.Despite the overall benefits in efficacy,the TESI and IC routes provided better outcomes than other methods.Larger-scale trials are warranted before implementing MSC-based therapy in routine clinical practice.
文摘It is largely believed (or strongly assumed) that photons are massless particles and the most compelling evidence there—it is said—is found in the manifestations of photons being long ranged and long lived particles. As we have done before, albeit, with a much better and clear insight in the present than before;we argue herein that massive photons can still enjoy the special and rare privilege of travelling at the speed of light c while being long ranged, long lived and most of all, obeying the much desired gauge symmetry. This we achieve by breaking the traditional Lorenz gauge and in its place, we introduce a new Special Gauge Condition (SGC) that does the work of assuring the photon its longevity, long range-ness and that it [photon] propagates at the speed c. However, the most melancholic outcome of our investigation is that if the present scheme is what subtle Nature has chosen to endow the photon a non-zero mass so that it [photon] still obeys gauge invariance, is long ranged, long lived and travels at the sacred speed c;then, this non-zero photon mass may be very difficult, if not impossible to measure. We use the equations developed to investigate Lorentz violation in ?-ray bursts.

文摘The rapid development of Internet has led to the explosion of information sharing, and how to supervise the sharing is a main research topic on current Internet. Aiming at the disadvantage that the current Peer-to-Peer (P2P) is hard to manage and control, this paper presents a Session Initial Protocol (SIP)-based P2P network of three-level architecture. SIP middleware is introduced to the middle level of the three-layer architecture. By the connection function of the SIP signaling, the P2P transmission on media-level can be controlled. Using SIP’s register and authentication function, the manage layer can manage the whole P2P network. Based on the aforementioned architecture, this paper investigates the grouping strategy on a live broadcast application in P2P network. Combined with the function of SIP register, the paper works on several grouping strategies, sets up models to manage users by grouping them, presents a weight-based K-means IP address grouping algorithm, and realizes it. The experiment shows that the grouping strategy presented in this paper can solve the problem of group sharing of network resource, and can realize the efficient-sharing, reasonable-distributing of network resource.
文摘Hepatoblastoma is the most common type of malignant liver tumor in children and occurs most frequently in patients two years of age and younger. The outcomes for children with hepatoblastoma have been improving in recent years due to the introduction of cisplatin-based chemotherapy regimens. Recently, performing liver transplantation after neoadjuvant chemotherapy has become increasingly advocated as a primary surgical treatment for children with unresectable hepatoblastoma involving three or four sectors of the liver. Surgical exploration is frequently required to determine which tumors are resectable, which require liver transplantation and timing of resection. When the quality of the remnant liver is in question, the decision for transplantation versus resection should be made by a liver team in experienced center with capability of liver transplantation. This report presents the findings of the patient with hepatoblastoma who successfully underwent extreme resection with a backup for living donor liver transplantation. The patient was discharged home in good condition and the follow-up continued for three years with normal AFP levels observed.
文摘The probabilities for the technology to be spoofed are widely acknowledged in biometric verification system. Important efforts have been conducted to study such threats and to develop countermeasures to direct attacks to the biometric verification system to ensure the security of these systems against spoof attacks and reduce this risk, by using another module that is added to the biometric verification system called the “liveness detection” which uses different anatomical properties to distinguish between real and fake traits. Thus, the robustness of the system against direct attacks can be improved through increasing the security level offered to the final user. This paper is an attempt to construct support biometric security system to protect the iris biometric verification system from spoof attacks, through integrating the iris verification system with addition module called liveness detection which composed of two sub-modules (static and dynamic). A test has been performed, for iris verification phase performed on two types of database (MMU DB) for 180 samples and (CASIA DB) for 90 samples, and gave accuracy (99.44%) with FAR of (0.0277) and FRR (0.0055) for MMU DB, and accuracy (97.77%) with FAR of (0.0333) and FRR (0.0222) for CASIA DB.
文摘This study presents the ballistic limit velocity of small caliber projectiles against SS400 steel plate derived from live-fire ballistic experiments. Four different small caliber projectiles were tested against SS400 steel plates of 9 mm, 10 mm, and 12 mm thicknesses. The ballistic limit velocity was calculated using two standard methods, MIL-STD-662F and NIJ-STD-0101.06, and additionally using a support vector machine algorithm. The results show a linear relationship between the plate thickness and ballistic limit velocity. Further, the relative penetration performance among five different small caliber projectiles was analyzed using the Penetration Performance Ratio(PPR) introduced in this study, which suggests the potential of PPR to predict the ballistic limit velocity of other untested materials and/or different projectiles.

文摘Stimulated emission depletion microscopy(STED)holds great potential in biological science applications,especially in studying nanoscale subcellular structures.However,multi-color STED imaging in live-cell remains challenging due to the limited excitation wavelengths and large amount of laser radiation.Here,we develop a multiplexed live-cell STED method to observe more structures simultaneously with limited photo-bleaching and photo-cytotoxicity.By separating live-cell fluorescent probes with similar spectral properties using phasor analysis,our method enables five-color live-cell STED imaging and reveals long-term interactions between different subcellular structures.The results here provide an avenue for understanding the complex and delicate interactome of subcellular structures in live-cell.

文摘This study illuminates nine psychiatric disabled persons’ lived experience of a newly established community-based service center open around the clock. This new 24-hour support center (SC) was established in 2011 in a Swedish community to better match and facilitate the disabled persons’ needs. In order to illuminate the disabled person’s experiences individual interview was performed. A phenomenological-hermeneutical method inspired by Paul Ricoeur was used to interpret the texts. After a naive reading, a structural analysis revealed two themes: 1), becoming aware of myself as a person, and 2) having a lifeline and belongingness. The comprehensive understanding was interpreted as meaning “Making me feel almost like an ordinary person”, which incorporated the person’s past with their present together with a direction for the future and hope for a more fulfilling life.
文摘In the era of network live broadcasting for everyone,the development of live broadcasting platforms is also more intelligent and diversified.However,in the face of a large group of elderly users,the interface interaction design mode used is still mainly based on the interaction mode for young groups,and is not designed for elderly users.Therefore,a design method for optimizing the interaction interface of live broadcasting platform for elderly users was proposed in this study.Firstly,the case study method and Delphi expert survey method were used to determine the design needs of elderly users and the design mode was analysed.Secondly,the orthogonal design principle was used to design a test sample of the interactive interface of live broadcasting platform applicable for the elderly users,and then a user evaluation system was established to calculate the weights of the design elements using hierarchical analysis,and then the predictive relationship between the design mode of the interactive interface of live broadcasting platform and the elderly users was established by Quantitative Theory I.Finally,Genetic Algorithm was applied to generate the optimized design scheme.The results showed that the design method based on the Genetic Algorithm and the combination of Quantitative Theory can scientifically and effectively optimize the design of the interactive interface of the live broadcasting platform for the elderly users,and improve the experience of the elderly users.
