Results show that higher hydrophilicity with little degradation, in terms of the scanning electron microscopy (SEM), was obtained after treatment, especially when the sample was placed in the post-discharge area. More polar functional groups and higher surface free energy, especially the polar component, formed on the PTFE surface were responsible for the modification. For the relatively high purity radicals and rare discharge particles in the post-discharge area, the etching was restrained and the introducing reactions were enhanced, and thus, a better modification occurred there.展开更多

Inthis paperl the low-pressure plasma treatment technology for the environmental contaminantswas synthetically studied, and the reaction processing and mechanism between the low-pressureplasma and the environmental contaminants were theoretically analyzed. At last, the prospectsand existing problems on the application of low-pressure plasma in the field of environmentalprotection were discussed.展开更多

Both in-flight particle diagnostic detected by DPV-2000 system and ANSYS-FLUENT software were used to study the connection between the parameters of flying particles and the coating formation, which might help to recognize the relationship between the operation parameters and the coatings quality. The results of simulation showed that particles in a lower spray pressure could achieve a higher velocity. The particle velocity was around 380 m/s at a distance of 35 cm from the nozzle at 1.0 × 10^4 Pa while only 300 m/s at 2.5 × 10^4 Pa in actual measurement. The results showed that the velocity of particles increased with decreasing the spray pressure, which might enhance the flattening rate of coatings and thereby decreased the porosity. The deposited YSZ coating with the lowest porosity can be gained under 1.0 × 10^4 Pa condition.展开更多

The breakdown spectrum is mainly due to the electronic relaxation of excited Ar atoms and Ar ions. The lifetimes and characteristics of the Ar plasma are extensively studied by the time-integrated and time-resolved optical emission spectroscopy technique, which is also discussed. Under the assumption of local thermodynamic equilibrium (LTE), the plasma temperature is calculated. Moreover, the electron density is accessed from the Stark broadening of the ionized argon lines. Finally, the validity of applications of LTE is also discussed.展开更多

Optimal processing conditions, including spray parameters, the trajectory of the robot, and the synchronized movements between the torch and the blade, have been developed for superior coating properties. Transferred arc treatment, providing a preheating and a cleaning of the substrate surface, enhances the adherence of the coatings to the substrate. The resulting LPPS coatings show dense and uniform characteristics with ideal hardness, and good corrosion resistance to cycle oxidation.展开更多

As-sprayed Al-Cu-Fe coating has a rapidly solidified lamellar microstructure consisting of quasicrystalline phase and crystalline phase. The formation of quasicrystalline coating is related to the annealing. The results from the ox!dat!on experiments showed that Al-Cu-Fe quasicrystalline coating improved the oxidation resistance of Ti-base alloys. During the oxidation period there is no evident spallation of the coating from the substrate. Oxide formed on the surface of Al-Cu-Fe quasicrystalline coating after oxidation consisted of Al2O3. Oxidation occurs Ieading to a change of concentration and phase transformation in the coating surface. Selective oxidation of AI transforms the quasicrystalline phase into the phase.展开更多
