The small electron transport molecule, Tris(8-hydroxyquinolinato) aluminum(III)(Alq3), was graded dispersed along the film in the direction of growth in the hole transport polymer poly(3-hexylthiophene-2,5-diyl)(P3HT, regiorandom) layer of the PLED, despite being dissolved in the same organic solvent as the polymer. The PLED reported here, which is composed of a graded structure, emitted brighter light than PLEDs composed of pure polymer or of a blend of active layers prepared by spin coating and/or vacuum spray methods.展开更多

View synthesis is an important building block in three dimension(3D) video processing and communications.Based on one or several views,view synthesis creates other views for the purpose of view prediction(for compr...View synthesis is an important building block in three dimension(3D) video processing and communications.Based on one or several views,view synthesis creates other views for the purpose of view prediction(for compression) or view rendering(for multiview-display).The quality of view synthesis depends on how one fills the occlusion area as well as how the pixels are created.Consequently,luminance adjustment and hole filling are two key issues in view synthesis.In this paper,two views are used to produce an arbitrary virtual synthesized view.One view is merged into another view using a local luminance adjustment method,based on local neighborhood region for the calculation of adjustment coefficient.Moreover,a maximum neighborhood spreading strength hole filling method is presented to deal with the micro texture structure when the hole is being filled.For each pixel at the hole boundary,its neighborhood pixels with the maximum spreading strength direction are selected as candidates;and among them,the pixel with the maximum spreading strength is used to fill the hole from boundary to center.If there still exist disocclusion pixels after once scan,the filling process is repeated until all hole pixels are filled.Simulation results show that the proposed method is efficient,robust and achieves high performance in subjection and objection.展开更多
Recent work in decision neuroscience suggests that visual saliency can interact with reward-based choice,and the lateral intraparietal cortex(LIP)is implicated in this process.In this study,we recorded from LIP neuron...Recent work in decision neuroscience suggests that visual saliency can interact with reward-based choice,and the lateral intraparietal cortex(LIP)is implicated in this process.In this study,we recorded from LIP neurons while monkeys performed a two alternative choice task in which the reward and luminance associated with each offer were varied independently.We discovered that the animal’s choice was dictated by the reward amount while the luminance had a marginal effect.In the LIP,neuronal activity corresponded well with the animal’s choice pattern,in that a majority of reward-modulated neurons encoded the reward amount in the neuron’s preferred hemifield with a positive slope.In contrast,compared to their responses to low luminance,an approximately equal proportion of luminance-sensitive neurons responded to high luminance with increased or decreased activity,leading to a much weaker population-level response.Meanwhile,in the non-preferred hemifield,the strength of encoding for reward amount and luminance was positively correlated,suggesting the integration of these two factors in the LIP.Moreover,neurons encoding reward and luminance were homogeneously distributed along the anterior-posterior axis of the LIP.Overall,our study provides further evidence supporting the neural instantiation of a priority map in the LIP in reward-based decisions.展开更多

However, HUDs can also distract a pilot. This study shows that HUD luminance non-uniformity may force inappropriate distribution of attention between the events shown on HUD symbology and the outside scene because of the resultant differential contrast in the display area. Results of statistical analysis demonstrate considerable effects of HUD image luminance and ambient luminance, as well as their interaction, on the detection of events displayed on an HUD and the outside scene.展开更多

Conversely here we apply the framework of the expansion of a superbubble (SB) in order to explain the spherical appearance of the ring. Two classical equations of motion for SBs are derived in the presence of a linear and a trigonometric decrease for density. A relativistic equation of motion with an inverse square dependence for the density is derived. The angular distance, adopting the minimax approximation, is derived for three relativistic cosmologies: the standard, the flat and the wCDM. We derive the relation between redshift and Euclidean distance, which allows fixing the radius of the Einstein ring. The details of the ring are explained by a simple version of the theory of images.展开更多
Endoscopic luminal stenting(ELS)represents a minimally invasive option for the management of malignant obstruction along the gastrointestinal tract.Previous studies have shown that ELS can provide rapid relief of symp...Endoscopic luminal stenting(ELS)represents a minimally invasive option for the management of malignant obstruction along the gastrointestinal tract.Previous studies have shown that ELS can provide rapid relief of symptoms related to esophageal,gastric,small intestinal,colorectal,biliary,and pancreatic neoplastic strictures without compromising cancer patients’overall safety.As a result,in both palliative and neoadjuvant settings,ELS has largely surpassed radiotherapy and surgery as a first-line treatment modality.Following the abovementioned success,the indications for ELS have gradually expanded.To date,ELS is widely used in clinical practice by well-trained endoscopists in managing a wide variety of diseases and complications,such as relieving non-neoplastic obstructions,sealing iatrogenic and non-iatrogenic perforations,closing fistulae and treating post-sphincterotomy bleeding.The abovementioned development would not have been achieved without corresponding advances and innovations in stent technology.However,the technological landscape changes rapidly,making clinicians’adaptation to new technologies a real challenge.In our mini-review article,by systematically reviewing the relevant literature,we discuss current developments in ELS with regard to stent design,accessories,techniques,and applications,expanding the research basis that was set by previous studies and highlighting areas that need to be further investigated.展开更多
Chondroitin sulfate synthase 2(CHPF)is characterized as an oncogenic and poor prognosis-related gene in breast cancer.However,this gene has alternative splicing products encoding proteins of different lengths.Breast c...Chondroitin sulfate synthase 2(CHPF)is characterized as an oncogenic and poor prognosis-related gene in breast cancer.However,this gene has alternative splicing products encoding proteins of different lengths.Breast cancer is a group of heterogeneous tumors with distinct clinical and genomic characteristics.In this study,we explored the expression profile and prognostic value of the two transcripts of CHPF using data from The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)-BRCA.The functional regulation of the two transcripts was also studied in MCF-7 and BT-474 cells.Among the two transcripts of CHPF,ENST00000535926 expression was significantly upregulated in the tumor samples and was the dominant isoform.ENST00000535926,but not ENST00000243776 upregulation,was associated with significantly worse progression-free survival(PFS)and disease-specific survival(DSS)in luminal A/B cases.However,no significant association was observed in PFS or DSS in other Prediction Analysis of Microarray 50(PAM50)subgroups.CHPF isoform 2 protein(encoded by ENST00000535926)significantly elevated the expression of P3H1 and RCN3 at the mRNA and protein levels in MCF-7 and BT-474 cells.The effect of ENST00000535926 was significantly stronger than ENST00000243776 in promoting tumor cell colony formation.The expression of P3H1 and RCN3 was negatively correlated with CD8+T cell infiltration but was positively correlated with cancer-associated fibroblast infiltration in luminal A/B tumors.In summary,this study revealed that ENST00000535926 is an unfavorable prognosis-related and tumor-promoting transcript of the CHPF gene in luminal A/B breast cancer.展开更多

Input power and the num...This work focuses on the efficiency of the LED acting as the heat sink containing Phase Change Material(PCM). Three different heat sink configurations(H-1, H-2, and H-3) are used in this study. Input power and the number of fins are altered to find their effect on junction temperatures, luminous flux, and thermal resistance. The junction temperature of heat sink H-3 with PCM decreased by 3.1 % when compared with heat sink devoid of PCM at 10 W. The thermal resistance of the heat sink H-3 is reduced by 18.2 % when compared to its counterpart devoid of PCM at 10 W. The luminous flux of the PCM filled heat sink H-3 is found to increase by 12.15 % against the PCM not filled heat sink H-1 at 10 W. The H-3 heat sink with PCM showed superior performance because of the enhanced natural convection and conduction in bulk PCM with fins, and with added high latent heat capacity of PCM.展开更多

文摘目的:探讨基于T_(2)WI、DCE磁共振影像组学模型对Luminal型乳腺癌分子分型的预测价值。方法:回顾性收集2018年1月—2021年10月昆明医科大学第一附属医院经病理证实的140例Luminal型乳腺癌,其中Luminal A型85例、Luminal B(HER-2阴性)型55例,病例按照7:3比例随机分为训练集和测试集。分别在T_(2)WI、DCE图像逐层勾画全病灶感兴趣区并提取影像组学特征。采用t检验和最小绝对缩减和变量选择算子(least absolute shrinkage and selection operator,LASSO)对影像组学特征降维并建立组学标签,通过逻辑回归分别对两个序列影像组学特征建模、训练并验证。应用受试者工作特征(receiver operating characteristic,ROC)曲线评价模型效能,用曲线下面积(area under the curve,AUC)、灵敏度、特异度、准确度表示。结果:T_(2)WI模型训练集AUC为0.94,灵敏度、特异度、准确度为0.83、0.87、0.85,测试集AUC为0.88,灵敏度、特异度、准确度为0.77、0.94、0.83;DCE模型训练集AUC为0.63,灵敏度、特异度、准确度为0.85、0.26、0.61,测试集AUC为0.65,灵敏度、特异度、准确度为0.88、0.25、0.64。结论:基于T_(2)WI影像组学模型对LuminalA型、Luminal B(HER-2阴性)型乳腺癌分子分型的预测具有良好的效能,预测能力优于DCE影像组学模型。
