The model is based on a prequantum physics, itself founded on classical mechanics completed by the existence of a universal cloud of tiny particles called U. This cloud induces simultaneously and similarly electromagnetic and gravitational effects. This common origin creates a narrow link between how planets are arranged in a solar system, say the Titus-Bode law, and how the electrons are arranged in an atom, say the lines of Lyman. We describe what this link is in the following text and, more generally, what is the preferred orbit of an isolated celestial body.展开更多

The reason for this “extra” energy has not been established, with the latest hypothesis being the effect of a certain type of dark matter. This paper presents a contrasting straightforward non-dark explanation for the extra energy based on the Probabilistic Spacetime Theory (PST). Both the dark matter and PST models are shown to involve the creation of new photons to explain the thermal enigma, but with very different underlying mechanisms. As this is the third paper in a three-part series of articles on the utility of that theory, a discussion is offered at the end of this paper concerning what the collective set of three articles has shown. Despite dark entities being hypothesized as a cause of all three reviewed research findings, dark entities are not needed to explicate the excess energy documented in each paper. Instead, the PST offers explanations for the reviewed research findings based solely on its five tenets and no dark entities. When viewed from an even larger context of other studies’ unexpected results, the PST was found to be a comprehensive yet parsimonious cosmological theory worthy of further testing.展开更多

The measured thermal relic mass mh ≈100 eV is in disagreement with limits, typically in the range 1 to 4 keV. We review the measurements, update the no freeze-in and no freeze-out scenario of warm dark matter, and try to identify the cause of the discrepancies between measurements and limits.展开更多

Bright visible galaxies that emit the Lyman <i>α</i> (Ly<i>α</i>) emission line of the hydrogen atom (Ly<i>α</i> galaxies) are used to observe the large-scale structure of distant space. However, recently Momose <i>et al</i>. have reported cases where the large-scale structures of DM indicated by Ly<i>α</i> galaxies and other galaxies fail to match. This raises the possibility that Ly<i>α</i> galaxies may not correctly indicate the large-scale structure of DM. In the currently accepted cold DM model, DM and neutral hydrogen gas are thought to interact only through the mutual effects of gravity. However, according to Suto, DM and ordinary matter are like two sides of the same coin. By giving and receiving approximately 2<i>m</i>e<i>c</i>2 (1.022 MeV), it is possible to mutually convert between the two. If, in future observations of the density distribution of interstellar gas using Ly<i>α</i> emission lines, unexpected data is obtained that cannot be explained based only on absorption by neutral hydrogen gas, then the author believes the problem can be solved with Suto’s DM model.展开更多
