This paper presents a PV array model using Matlab/Simulink with the assistance of SimPowerSystem toolbox. The PV cell is considered as the main building block for simulating and monitoring the PV array performance. The PV model has been developed and used as Simulink subsystems where the effect of solar insolation and PV array temperature on commercial PV modules have been studied throughout the simulated I-V and P-V output characteristics. The proposed model facilitates simulating the dynamic performance of PV-based power systems. The effect of different partial shading patterns of PV arrays under different configurations has been studied.展开更多

The goal is a better understanding of the electrical behavior of the FC (fuel cell), as a result of the electrochemical processes, via the cell's voltage characteristic during transient response. While changing the load, the performance of significant parameters affected such as temperature, pressure, purge status etc. are registered and evaluated. The analysis and experiment are based on a low pressure 1.2 kW PEM fuel cell stack (NEXAS power module). Then, the experiment is simulated using Matlab/Simulink tools, while PCU (power conditioning units) are added in order to control power flow for enhanced performance. Finally, both operational and simulation data are compared to each other showing that simple PCUs applications can improve system's efficiency.展开更多

A four-axle heavy truck-road coupling system model was established using FVP technology and validated through a ride comfort test. Then appropriate passive air suspensions were chosen to replace the rear tandem suspensions of the original truck model for preliminary optimization. The mechanical properties and time lag of dampers were taken into account in simulations of MSD and PID semi-active dampers implemented using MATLAB/Simulink. Through co-simulations with Adams and MATLAB, the effects of semi-active MSD and PID control were analyzed and compared, and control parameters which afforded the best comprehensive performance for each control strategy were chosen. Simulation results indicate that compared with the passive air suspension truck, semi-active MSD control improves both ride comfort and road-friendliness markedly, with optimization ratios of RMS vertical acceleration and RMS tyre force ranging from 10.1% to 44.8%. However, semi-active PID control only reduces vertical vibration of the driver's seat by 11.1%, 11.1% and 10.9% on A, B and C level roads respectively. Both strategies are robust to the variation of road level.展开更多

Based on sand bearing characteristic compliance control was introduced to control system in horizontal and vertical movement directions at the end of the robot, and position control in attitude. With Matlab/Simulink toolbox, the system control models were established, and the bearing characteristics of rigid ground, hard sand, soft sand and softer sand were simulated. The results show that 0,0.62,0.89 and 1.12 mm are the maximal subsidences of the four kinds of ground along the positive direction of x-axis,respectively,and 0,-0.96,-1.99 and -3.00 mm are the maximal subsidences along the negative direction of x-axis,respectively. Every subsidence along y-axis is negative, and 0,-4.12,-8.23 and -12.01 mm are the maximal subsidences of the four kinds of ground, respectively. Simulation results show that the subsidence of footboard points to inferior anterior in early stage of stand phase, while points to posterior aspect in late stage. The subsidence tends to point to posterior aspect in the whole. These results are basically consistent with the gait characteristics of human walking on sand. Gait simulation of the robot for human walking on sand is achieved.展开更多

It mainly comprises a linear motor, a vibrating screen, a supporting spring set, a supporting frame and a damper set. Forces acting on the vibrating screen were found. A differential equation for describing the forces was set up. Equations that were used to evaluate the exciting force and exciting frequency in resonance were derived from the solution to the differential equation. In addition, an equation for evaluating the deformed magnitude of the damping springs in the damper set was presented so that the suitable damping may be obtained. Finally, a Matlab/Simulink model of the new i DOF resonance device was also built. Displacement-time curves of the vibrating screen under four conditions were obtained in the use of the Matlab/Simulink simulation. The curves indicate that it can shorten the time for the vibrating screen to be into the stable resonance with increasing the damping, and it can lengthen the time with increasing the vibrated mass or amplitude, but every given angular frequency cannot acquire the desired amplitude value of resonance.展开更多
