In order to investigate these properties, standard Epstein samples were cut at different angles to the rolling direction. The hard magnetization direction was found at an angle of 60° to the rolling direction. To compare the measured and fitting curves, when the magnetic field intensity is higher than 7000 A/m, it is appropriate to simulate the relation of magnetic permeability and magnetization angle using the conventional elliptical model. When the magnetic field intensity is less than 3000 A/m, parabolic fitting models should be used; but when the magnetic field intensity is between 3000 and 7000 A/m, hybrid models with high accuracy, as proposed in this paper, should be applied. Piecewise relation models of magnetic permeability and magnetization angle are significant for improving the accuracy of electromagnetic engineering calculations of electrical steel, and these new models could be applied in further industrial applications.展开更多

Reductions of 26%-28% in the longitudinal stress σ x were obtained when low frequency alternating magnetic treatment was applied perpendicularly to the welding bead, whereas reductions of 20%-21% in σ x were measured by using the same treatment parameters except that the field direction was applied parallel to the bead. It is proposed that different extent of stress reductions caused by the above two treatment directions is attributed primarily to the alteration of the energy absorbed by domains from the external magnetic field, which part of energy can arouse plastic deformation in microstructures by the motion of domain walls.展开更多

The experimental results indicate that the solidification micro structure of pure aluminum can be greatly refined under DC-PMF. Refinement of pure aluminum is attributed to electromagnetic undercooling and forced convection caused by DC-PMF. With single DC-PMF, the grain size in the equiaxed zone is uneven. However, under DC-PMF, by adding 0.05% (mass fraction) Al5Ti-B, the grain size of the sample is smaller, and the size distribution is more uniform than that of single DC-PMF. Furthermore, under the combination of DC-PMF and inoculation, with the increase of output current, the grain size is further reduced. When the output current increases to 100 A, the average grain size can decrease to 113 μn.展开更多

Large low-field magnetostrictions are observed at 5 K in the alloys with x=0.2 and 0.4 due to the low magnetic anisotropies of these two alloys. A large negative magnetostriction of about-1130 ppm is found in PrCo1.9 alloy at 5 K. The magnetizations of the alloys with 0 ≤ x ≤ 0.6 decrease abnormally at the spin reorientation temperature Tsr, and an abnormity is detected in the alloy with x=1.0 at its Curie temperature Tc (45 K). The substitution of Fe by Co increases the value of Tsr in the alloy with x value increasing from 0.0 to 0.4, and then reduces the value of Tsr with x value further increasing to 0.6.展开更多

Ga substitution reduces the magnetostriction(λ_(||)) with magnetic field H ≥ 8 kOe(1 Oe = 1.33322×10^(2) Pa), but it also increases the λ|| value when H ≤ 8 kOe at 5 K. Spin-reorientations(SR) are observed in all the alloys investigated, as determined by the step scanned XRD, Mossbauer spectra, and the abnormal temperature dependence of magnetization. An increase of the spin reorientation temperature(T_(SR)) due to Ga substitution is found in the phase diagram, which is different from the decrease one in many R(T_(x) Fe_(1-x))_(1.9)(T = Co, Al, Mn) alloys. The present work provides a method to control the easy magnetization direction(EMD) or T_(SR) for developing an anisotropic compensation system.展开更多

The macroscopic quadrupole magnetic trap potential is designed to be moveable by controlling the currents of the two pairs of anti-Helrnholtz coils. The cold atoms are initially prepared in a standard six-beam magneto-optical trap and loaded into the macroscopic quadrupole magnetic trap, and then transported to the atom chip surface by moving the macroscopic trap potential. By means of a three-dimensional absorption imaging system, we are able to optimize the position alignment of the atom cloud in the macroscopic trap and the microchip Z-shaped wire. Consequently, with a proper magnetic transfer scheme, we load the cold atoms into the microchip Z-trap directly and efficiently. The loading efficiency is measured to be about 50%. This approach can be used to generate appropriate ultracold atoms sources, for example, for a magnetically guided atom interferometer based on atom chip.展开更多

Based on the Boswell antenna which is symmetric and insensitive to the magnetic field direction, it seems such a phenomenon in theory appears impossible. However, according to the diagnostic of the helicon waves by magnetic probe, it is found that the direction of magnetic field significantly affects the propagation characteristic of helicon waves, i.e., the interchange of the helicon waves at the upper and the lower half of tube was caused by reversing the direction of magnetic field. It is suggested that the variation of helicon wave against the direction of magnetic field causes the reversed radial glow distribution. The appearance of the traveling wave does not only improve the discharge strength, but also determines the transition of the discharge mode.展开更多

The influences of reduction conditions, such as molar ratio of C to Fe, reduction time, and reduction temperature, were studied. The results showed that the TTM concentrate was reduced to iron and iron-titanium oxides, depending on the reduction time, and the reduction sequence at 1 200℃ was suggested as follows : Fe2.75 Ti0.25O4→Fe2TiO4→FeTiO3→FeTi2O5. The reduction temperature played a considerable role in the reduction of TTM concentrates. Increasing temperature from 1 100 to 1 200℃ was beneficial to recovering titanium and iron, whereas the results deteriorated as temperature increased further. The results of X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy analyses showed that low temperature (≤1100℃) was unfavorable for the gasification of reductant, resulting in insufficient reducing atmosphere in the reduction process. The molten phase was formed at high temperatures of 1250-1 300℃, which accelerated the migration rate of metallic particles and suppressed the diffusion of reduction gas, resulting in poor reduction. The optimum conditions for reducing TTM concentrate are as follows: molar ratio of C to Fe of 1.68, reduction time of 150 min, and reduction temperature of 1 200℃. Under these conditions, direct reduction iron powder, assaying 90.28 mass% TFe and 1.73 mass% TiO2 with iron recovery of 90.85%, and titanium concentrate, assaying 46.24 mass% TiO2 with TiO2 recovery of 91.15%, were obtained.展开更多

This paper presents a novel triple-redundant voice coil motor (TRVCM) used for redundant DDVs. The TRVCM features electrical/mechanical hybrid triple-redundancy by securing three stators along with three moving coils in the same frame. A permanent magnet (PM) Halbach array is employed in each redundant VCM to simplify the system structure. A back-to-back design between neighborly redundancies is adopted to decouple the magnetic flux linkage. The particle swarm optimization (PSO) method is implemented to optimize design parameters based on the analytical magnetic circuit model. The optimization objective function is defined as the acceleration capacity of the motor to achieve high dynamic performance. The optimal geometric parameters are verified with 3D magnetic field finite element analysis (FEA). A research prototype has been developed for experimental purpose. The experimental results of magnetic field density and force output show that the proposed TRVCM has great potential of applications in DDA systems.展开更多

文摘The magnetostriction, magnetization, and spin reorientation properties in Pr(Ga_(x)Fe_(1-x))_(1.9) alloys have been investigated by high-precision x-ray diffraction(XRD) step scanning, magnetization, and Mossbauer spectra measurements. The present work provides a method to control the easy magnetization direction(EMD) or T_(SR) for developing an anisotropic compensation system.

文摘In this study, the effect of transverse magnetic field-assisted directional solidification(MFADS)on the microstructures in Ni-Mn-Ga alloys has been investigated. The results show that the magnetic field is capable of inducing transversal macrosegregation perpendicular to the magnetic field, causing the emergence of martensite clusters in the austenite matrix. Moreover, the magnetic field alleviates the microseg-regation on a dendritic scale and promotes the preferred growth of austenite dendrites. On the basis of the above investigation, several special samples are designed using the MFADS to study the crystallographic evolution and mechanical behavior during thermal/stress-induced martensite transformation. The martensite cluster in the austenite matrix is used to investigate the martensite transformation and growth under cooling-heating cycles. The crystallographic relationship and phase boundary microstructure between martensite and austenite have been characterized. In addition, the microsegregation on a dendritic scale can significantly influence the martensite variant distribution, corresponding to the performance during compressive circles based on the analysis of the deformation gradient tensor. The stress-induced superelasticity is closely dependent on orientation, well explained from the perspective of different resolved shear stress factors and correspondence variant pair formation transformation strain. The crystallographic evolution has been characterized during in-situ stress-induced transformation. The findings not only deepen the understanding of martensite transformation and mechanical behavior under a thermal/stress field in Ni-Mn-Ga alloys but also propose a promising strategy to obtain microstructure-controllable functional alloys by MFADS.

文摘Dynamic characteristics of large permanent magnet direct‐drive generators(PMDGs)considering electromagnetic–structural coupling effects are analyzed in this study.Using the conformal mapping method, the scalar magnetic potential of the air gap magnetic field considering the slot effect is calculated. On the basis of the discrete current element and magnetic equivalent circuit model, the local magnetic saturation effect of the stator and rotor is quantitatively simulated and the air gap magnetic field intensity distribution is obtained via numerical simulation.A series of uniformly distributed equivalent electromagnetic springs are introduced to develop an electromagnetic–structural coupling finite element PMDG model. The proposed air gap field analysis method is verified by the finite element analysis results. On the basis of the test platform for the Goldwind 1.5MW PMDG,both modal and dynamic response tests for the stator/rotor coupling system are conducted, and the results are compared with the natural frequencies, mode shapes, and vibration responses obtained using the numerical model. The effects of the air gap length and rotor speed on the natural frequencies of the coupling system are analyzed. The proposed model has the potential to accurately evaluate the PMDG vibration energy, avoiding resonance points, and maintaining stable operations of the unit.

文摘Embedding direct reduction followed by magnetic separation was conducted to fully recover iron and titanium separately from beach titanomagnetite (TTM). Under these conditions, direct reduction iron powder, assaying 90.28 mass% TFe and 1.73 mass% TiO2 with iron recovery of 90.85%, and titanium concentrate, assaying 46.24 mass% TiO2 with TiO2 recovery of 91.15%, were obtained.
文摘Depression is the most prevalent debilitating mental illness; it is characterized as a disorder of mood, cognitive function, and neurovegetative function. About one in ten individuals experience depression at some stage of their lives. Antidepressant drugs are used to reduce the symptoms but relapse occurs in ~ 20% of patients. However, alternate therapies like brain stimulation techniques have shown promising results in this regard. This review covers the brain stimulation techniques electroconvulsive therapy, transcranial direct current stimulation, repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation, vagus nerve stimulation, and deep brain stimulation, which are used as alternatives to antide- pressant drugs, and elucidates their research and clinical outcomes.

文摘A direct drive actuator (DDA) with direct drive valves (DDVs) as the control device is an ideal solution for a flight actuation system. The experimental results of magnetic field density and force output show that the proposed TRVCM has great potential of applications in DDA systems.
