The problem has many impacts on social, economical and development aspects of urban areas. Hence the solution to this problem is not straight forward. It requires a lot of effort, expertise, time and cost that sometime are not available. Most of the existing transportation planning software, specially the most advanced ones, requires personnel with lots practical transportation planning experience and with high level of education and training. In this paper we propose a comprehensive framework for an Intelligent Decision Support System (IDSS) for Traffic Congestion Management System that utilizes a state of the art transportation network equilibrium modeling and providing an easy to use GIS-based interaction environment. The developed IDSS reduces the dependability on the expertise and level of education of the transportation planners, transportation engineers, or any transportation decision makers.展开更多

It identifies opportunities to remove unnecessary costs while assuring that quality, reliability, performance, and other critical factors will meet or exceed the customers’ expectations. It has been widely used in the construction industry in a number of countries. A recent survey, however, revealed several problems that hinder the wider use of this methodology in the industry. To overcome these problems, a feasibility study has been conducted to investigate whether or not a Group Support System (GSS) can support collaborative works in VM workshops. This paper introduces the development and structure of a prototype GSS which is designed to support the collaborative works of stakeholders in VM workshops. It begins with an introduction to the conceptual GSS framework and job plan, illustrating what GSS supports can be provided to VM workshops. This is followed by a detailed description of the GSS prototype system to demonstrate how these supports can be performed as an integrated computer system. The testing of the system is also discussed. The research findings provide strong evidence in supporting the notion of using GSS to improve VM implementation. The information support of GSS has been ranked to be the most useful GSS functions and most of the practitioners interviewed are highly interested in applying GSS to support VM workshops in the future.展开更多

The use of decision support systems(DSSs) by managers of forest fires has rapidly increased. This paper presents the development and implementation of a decision support system(DSS) that links the outputs of hydrological models with real-time decision making on social-economic assessments and land use management. Discharge and glacier geometry changes were simulated with hydrological model, water availability in semiarid environments. Irrigation and ecological water were simulated by a new commercial software MIKE HYDRO. Groundwater was simulated by MODFLOW. All the outputs of theses hydrological models were taken as inputs into the DSS in three types of links: regression equations, stationary data inputs, or dynamic data inputs as the models running parallel in the simulation periods. The DSS integrates the hydrological data, geographic data, social and economic statistical data, and establishes the relationships with equations, conditional statements and fuzzy logics. The programming is realized in C++. The DSS has four remarkable features:(1) editable land use maps to assist decision-making;(2) conjunctive use of surface and groundwater resources;(3) interactions among water, earth, ecosystem, and humans; and(4) links with hydrological models. The overall goal of the DSS is to combine the outputs of scientific models, knowledge of experts, and perspectives of stakeholders, into a computer-based system, which allows sustainability impact assessment within regional planning; and to understand ecosystem services and integrate them into land and water management.展开更多

Projects are typically managed in rather special manners. On the contrary, there exist many methodologies for product process management to achieve consistency and continuance. However, processes often lack flexibility offered by projects. This paper dis~ the relationship of conceptual characteristics between process and project, gives low-level details to tackle the difference between them, and proposes an enterprise process modeling method for project management. An integrated environment is designed to support the method from which both project management and process management can receive benefits and conform to the limitations.展开更多

The overall goal of the DSS is to combine the outputs of scientific models, knowledge of experts, and perspectives of stakeholders, into a computer-based system, which allows sustainability impact assessment within regional planning; and to understand ecosystem services and integrate them into land and water management.
文摘The objective of this research is to examine the antecedents and consequences of cost management systems (CMS) design effectiveness of manufacturing businesses in Thailand. The effect of CMS design effectiveness on cost information quality is investigated. Moreover, the effect of cost information quality on business success is investigated. Furthermore, executive management support and cost accountant competency are assumed to become the antecedents of CMS design effectiveness. Electronics manufacturing businesses in Thailand are samples of the research. A mail survey procedure via the questionnaire was used for data collection from accounting controllers. The results indicate that CMS design effectiveness has a positive significant effect on cost information quality. Moreover, cost information quality also has a positive significant effect on business success. Additionally, both executive management support and cost accountant competency have a positive significant effect on CMS design effectiveness.

文摘Both the escape from the predicament of traditional financial support in rural areas and the cultivation of new types of agricultural management entities underlie,at a micro level, the improvement of a new-type of agricultural management system, and offer an important guarantee for the implementation of a rural revitalization strategy. In reference to the demands of carrying out reform, activating factors, invigorating entities and stimulating markets during the implementation of this rural revitalization strategy,we are applying a financing preference theory that infers and analyzes the excessive preference for new-type agricultural management entities(family farms, specialized farmer cooperatives, specialized large family farms, and modern agricultural enterprises)regarding government subsidies(quasi-equity financing). Our analysis has identified crucial factors in the issue and predicts that government subsidies(quasi-equity financing)will crowd out financial support funding(quasi-debt financing),and we offer empirical proof obtained through statistical modeling. As our results indicate, financing costs, free cash flows, and the perceived income adequacy(PIA)of new-type agricultural management entities all have significant influence upon decision-making for debt financing by such entities. Therefore, with the concrete contents of the formulation of policies concerning the financial support for rural agricultural strategy, one not only needs to consider the further decrease of financing costs, but also should take into account both the designing of cash flow mechanism in the process of paying both principal and interest, and the improvement of bankruptcy rules for agricultural management entities to accelerate the transformation of family farms, specialized farmer cooperatives, and specialized large family farms, towards modern agricultural enterprises.Meanwhile, upgrades to the supply chains of the agriculture industry, improvements to the construction of the rural financial information system, building an accounting system that meets the requirements of the rural revitalization strategy, and giving full play to the policies for financial support, which assume an important role in activating factors and markets during the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy, are also anticipated.

文摘Development of the global economy makes modem enterprises confront challenges of efficient managements for large projects and complex processes. An integrated environment is designed to support the method from which both project management and process management can receive benefits and conform to the limitations.

文摘In this paper, we present a real decision support system applied to China's macroeconomic management. The structure, design and functions of the system are discussed, and the problems occurring in designing and making the system are also studied. A case study for China's petroleum price reform is given at the end of the paper.
文摘On the bas is of the reality of material supply management of the coal enterprise, this paper expounds plans of material management systems based on specific IT, and indicates the deficiencies, the problems of them and the necessity of improving them. The structure, models and data organizing schema of the material management decision support system are investigated based on a new data management technology (data warehousing technology).
文摘Decision Support Systems(DSS)are man-machine interaction systems, which support the de-cision-makers to solve the unstructured and semi-structured decisions, this paper advances that thefunction of problem-oriented information retrieval DSS can meet the needs of enterprise’s topmanagement effectively in comparison with other information retrieval functions,in accordancewith the features of supporting information for decision. An architecture of this system is presented, which dissolves a problem put forward or recognized by the user into the problem recognized by thecomputer, forming retrieval tactics and searching the data the user needs.Designed and developedaccording to the architecture of this system,a prototype system is introduced, which is CF Econom-ic Environment Information Retrieval DSS.
