As cloud computing usage grows,cloud data centers play an increasingly important role.To maximize resource utilization,ensure service quality,and enhance system performance,it is crucial to allocate tasks and manage p...As cloud computing usage grows,cloud data centers play an increasingly important role.To maximize resource utilization,ensure service quality,and enhance system performance,it is crucial to allocate tasks and manage performance effectively.The purpose of this study is to provide an extensive analysis of task allocation and performance management techniques employed in cloud data centers.The aim is to systematically categorize and organize previous research by identifying the cloud computing methodologies,categories,and gaps.A literature review was conducted,which included the analysis of 463 task allocations and 480 performance management papers.The review revealed three task allocation research topics and seven performance management methods.Task allocation research areas are resource allocation,load-Balancing,and scheduling.Performance management includes monitoring and control,power and energy management,resource utilization optimization,quality of service management,fault management,virtual machine management,and network management.The study proposes new techniques to enhance cloud computing work allocation and performance management.Short-comings in each approach can guide future research.The research’s findings on cloud data center task allocation and performance management can assist academics,practitioners,and cloud service providers in optimizing their systems for dependability,cost-effectiveness,and scalability.Innovative methodologies can steer future research to fill gaps in the literature.展开更多

This system is based o...This paper proposes an intelligent management system (IMS) to help managers in their delicate and tedious task of exploiting the plethora of data (indicators) contained in management dashboards. This system is based on intelligent agents, ontologies and data mining. It is implemented by PASSI (Process for Agent Societies Specification and Implementation) methods for agent design and implementation, the Methodology for Knowledge Modeling and Hot-Winters for data prediction. Intelligent agents not only track indicators but also store the knowledge of managers within the company. Ontologies are used to manage the representation and presentation aspects of knowledge. Data mining makes it possible to: make the most of all available data;model the industrial process of data selection, exploration and modeling;and transform behaviors into predictive indicators. An instance of the IMS named SYGISS, currently in operation within a large brewery organization, allows us to observe very interesting results: the extraction of indicators is done in less than 5 minutes whereas manual extraction used to take 14 days;the generation of dashboards is instantaneous whereas it used to take 12 hours;the interpretation of indicators is instantaneous whereas it used to take a day;forecasts are possible and are done in less than 5 minutes whereas they did not exist with the old management. This stu...The performance of bridge projects in Kenya is poor in terms of completion by schedule, cost, and quality (scope). Yet, there is less evidence of empirical research on what factors contribute to this outcome. This study aimed to bridge this gap by examining the effects of contractor-related factors on the performance of bridge construction projects in Kenya through a case study of the Bridge projects Implemented by the Kenya National Highway Agency (KeNHA). The theory of constraints (TOC) was adopted as its theoretical framework. Descriptive research was used, and the target population was 18 bridge construction projects, which were the units of analysis from 2012 to 2022. In each of these projects, 18 respondents, namely clients, consultants, contractors, engineers, environment and social guards, project managers, stakeholders, subcontractors, technical advisors, and inspectors, were included in a target population of 144 respondents. A census was conducted and a structured questionnaire was administered from which a response rate of 68% was achieved. The information was analyzed using descriptive, correlation, and multiple linear regression analysis. The contractor-related factors considered in the study were staff and management factors. The findings indicated that staff and management factors had a positive and significant outcome on performance of bridge construction projects. The study recommends continuous training and a safe learning environment for staff to improve their skills and performance in future projects. The study also recommends that a special category for bridge contractors be created in Kenya’s National Construction Authority rankings to ensure that only qualified contractors implement the Bridge projects.展开更多

Over the last 30 years, the globalprevalence of diabetes increased from 4% to 6.4%. If no better treatment or cure isfound, this amount might climb to 430 million in the coming years. The major fact-ors of the disease’s deterioration include age, obesity, and a sedentary lifestyle.Finding new therapies to manage diabetes safely and effectively without jeopardizingpatient compliance has always been essential. Among the medicationsavailable to manage DM on this journey are glucagon-like peptide-1 agonists,thiazolidinediones, sulphonyl urease, glinides, biguanides, and insulin-targetingreceptors discovered more than 10 years ago. This analysis is not intended to grade agencies but to assist in identifying agencies requi...This study develops a procedure to rank agencies based on their incident responses using roadway clearance times for crashes. This analysis is not intended to grade agencies but to assist in identifying agencies requiring more training or resources for incident management. Previous NCHRP reports discussed usage of different factors including incident severity, roadway characteristics, number of lanes involved and time of incident separately for estimating the performance. However, it does not tell us how to incorporate all the factors at the same time. Thus, this study aims to account for multiple factors to ensure fair comparisons. This study used 149,174 crashes from Iowa that occurred from 2018 to 2021. A Tobit regression model was used to find the effect of different variables on roadway clearance time. Variables that cannot be controlled directly by agencies such as crash severity, roadway type, weather conditions, lighting conditions, etc., were included in the analysis as it helps to reduce bias in the ranking procedure. Then clearance time of each crash is normalized into a base condition using the regression coefficients. The normalization makes the process more efficient as the effect of uncontrollable factors has already been mitigated. Finally, the agencies were ranked by their average normalized roadway clearance time. This ranking process allows agencies to track their performance of previous crashes, can be used in identifying low performing agencies that could use additional resources and training, and can be used to identify high performing agencies to recognize for their efforts and performance.展开更多

This study was c...Unit nurse managers in Malawi experience many challenges in the course of performing their roles. This affects their performance and service delivery including the quality of nursing care to patients. This study was conducted to determine the factors that hindered performance of unit managers in relation to expected quality of nursing services at two referral facilities (Kamuzu and Queen Elizabeth Central hospitals) in Malawi. These two central hospitals have the same structural settings and both offer specialized tertiary health services. A quantitative descriptive design was used to guide the planning and implementation of the study. Purposive sampling was used to select the two major hospitals in Malawi and all available 37 unit nurse managers during the time of the study at the two hospitals participated in the study. Data were collected using semi-structured questionnaires after seeking consent from the participants and were analyzed using SPSS version 16.0. The major roles identified by the unit managers were supervision (75.6%, n = 28) and coordination (70.3%, n = 26). Other roles such as team leader, liaison officer, research allocator, monitor and facilitator were rated by very few participants. Findings of the study showed that performance of unit nurse managers was affected by inadequate material (86.4%, n = 32) and human resources (94.5%, n = 35) and lack of managerial skills (5.4%, n = 2). In addition, the unit managers perceived their role to be stressful (38.9%, n = 14) and challenging (47.2%, n = 17). Therefore, there is a need to provide adequate material and human resources to the wards of the two central hospitals to enable the unit managers perform their duties efficiently.展开更多
Investors should always argue about management fees because of their impact on net performance that can be substantial.This especially for investments,like real estate,which require intensive management.However,differ...Investors should always argue about management fees because of their impact on net performance that can be substantial.This especially for investments,like real estate,which require intensive management.However,different from traditional mutual funds that are usually related to the gross value of the assets under management,but similar to other financial industry sectors(e.g.hedge funds and private equity funds),REIT managers’compensation structure typically provides a basically fixed payment based alternatively on gross asset value(GAV)or net asset value(NAV).In addition,managers usually also gain a performance fee.The paper analyses how the two alternative compensation schemes influence REITs’investment decisions and capital structure and,consequently,REITs’share value and performance.The final issue addressed is whether—and under which conditions—one compensation scheme is superior to the other.Due to the(usual)market price discount on NAVs,both fee structures incentivise managers to leverage—even in a tax-free environment—in order to maximize the management fees.However,the leverage motivation is stronger for GAV-based than for NAV-based REITs,which are also expected to be more selective in investment decisions.Overall,considering initial fee percentage,GAV-based REITs are expected to execute higher management fees than NAV-based REITs due to the relevant leverage effect.Moreover,debt recourse produces different effects on share value if measured upon market price or net asset value.The empirical analysis focuses on public Italian REITs(2002-2012).The results seem to support the theoretical expectations.GAV-based REITs experience higher debt trends and levels than NAV-based REITs.At the same time,GAV-based REITs register lower real estate asset returns gross and net of management fees for both current and growth yields.Differences in the returns lead to permanent higher performances over total return indexes of NAV-based REITs compared to GAV-based REITs.展开更多

The proposed methodology is based on basic ideas and concepts of four key-field interrelated sciences, i.e., computing science, applied mathematics, management sciences and economic sciences. Furthermore, the fundamental scientific concepts of adaptability and uncertainty are shown to play a critical role of major importance for a (near) optimum solution of a class of complex e-business/services and strategic management problems. Two characteristic case studies, namely measuring e-business performance under certain environmental pressures and organizational constraints and describing the relationships between technology, innovation and firm performance, are considered as effective applications of the proposed adaptive algorithmic modeling approach. Charismatic leadership of cooperative managers has been identified as antecedent. In addition, shareholders' age, education, land size, and duration of membership in the cooperative were investigated to have effect on the shareholder's performance and satisfaction. Charismatic leadership of cooperative managers is the subject of research on the effects of performance and satisfaction of the cooperative shareholders. A field survey was conducted. This study has been applied to Cukobirlik, an agricultural sale cooperative in East Mediterranean of Turkey. The researchers collected data by random questionnaire method. The research data were collected from 155 cooperative shareholders. For the data, exploratory factor, correlation, and regression were analyzed. The results of this analysis show that there is a meaningful relationship between charismatic leaders and the performance and satisfaction of shareholders for these cooperatives. Another result, there is significant relation between land size of cooperative shareholders and the performance and satisfaction of cooperative shareholders.展开更多

A great deal of research found that fund performance is related to a series of personal characteristics of fund managers,but how these personal characteristics affect fund performance is still unknown.China is the mos...A great deal of research found that fund performance is related to a series of personal characteristics of fund managers,but how these personal characteristics affect fund performance is still unknown.China is the most important emerging country and the second largest economy in the world.The development of China's capital market is different from that of most developed countries.Therefore,empirical evidence on the performance of funds in developed countries often cannot be extended to the Chinese market.In addition,there is evidence that many successful fund managers in developed countries may not achieve good performance in China.Therefore,it is particularly meaningful to examine the determinants of fund performance in the Chinese market.This paper establishes a three-level framework model to study this connection.Considering return and risk,the two basic factors that affect fund performance,this paper chooses nine proxy variables:Sharpe ratio,Jensen index,Treynor index,abnormal return(α),total risk(β),non-systemic risk,standard deviation of return,stock choosing ability and time picking ability as the criteria to measure the comprehensive performance.This paper investigates China's open-end funds to fill the gap in literature on the relationship between fund managers'personal characteristics and fund performance in emerging capital markets.The results of this paper found that age,gender,fund manager years,number of funds under management,master's or doctor’s degree,MBA degree,business background and fund managers have better stock choosing ability,higher abnormal return and better overall performance has a significant positive relationship.The results of further decomposition indicate that the abnormal return is the main influencing factor of the fund's comprehensive performance;the abnormal return is also affected by the fund manager's ability of stock choosing and time picking.In addition,stock choosing ability is the main factor affecting abnormal return.Therefore,the education background of the fund manager’s personal characteristics will affect the abnormal return and ultimately affect the comprehensive performance of the fund.This paper also finds that gender and majors affect fund managers'risk control behavior.The research results in this paper have great practical significance.Firstly,it introduces a framework that can explain how the individual characteristics of fund managers affect the performance mechanism of funds.Secondly,the findings in China's stock market supplement the empirical evidence in the mature markets of developed countries.Since China is already the largest emerging economy in the world,the results of this study are of great significance not only to Chinese researchers,but also to international scholars who want to study China's capital market.Thirdly,the empirical study is of great practical significance to test the ability of fund managers to divide abnormal earnings into stock choosing ability and time picking ability.展开更多

文摘Performance Management is the core course of human resource management major,but its knowledge points lack multi-dimensional correlations.There are problems such as scattered content and unclear system,and it is urgent to reconstruct the content system of the course.Knowledge graph technology can integrate massive and scattered information into an organic structure through semantic correlation and reasoning.The application of knowledge graph to education and teaching can promote scientific and personalized teaching evaluation and better realize individualized teaching.This paper systematically combs the knowledge points of Performance Management course and forms a comprehensive knowledge graph.The knowledge point is associated with specific questions to form the problem map of the course,and then the knowledge point is further associated with the ability target to form the ability map of the course.Then,the knowledge point is associated with teaching materials,question bank and expansion resources to form a systematic teaching database,thereby giving the method of building the content system of Performance Management course based on the knowledge map.This research can be further extended to other core management courses to realize the deep integration of knowledge graph and teaching.
文摘The performance of bridge projects in Kenya is poor in terms of completion by schedule, cost, and quality (scope). Yet, there is less evidence of empirical research on what factors contribute to this outcome. This study aimed to bridge this gap by examining the effects of contractor-related factors on the performance of bridge construction projects in Kenya through a case study of the Bridge projects Implemented by the Kenya National Highway Agency (KeNHA). The theory of constraints (TOC) was adopted as its theoretical framework. Descriptive research was used, and the target population was 18 bridge construction projects, which were the units of analysis from 2012 to 2022. In each of these projects, 18 respondents, namely clients, consultants, contractors, engineers, environment and social guards, project managers, stakeholders, subcontractors, technical advisors, and inspectors, were included in a target population of 144 respondents. A census was conducted and a structured questionnaire was administered from which a response rate of 68% was achieved. The information was analyzed using descriptive, correlation, and multiple linear regression analysis. The contractor-related factors considered in the study were staff and management factors. The findings indicated that staff and management factors had a positive and significant outcome on performance of bridge construction projects. The study recommends continuous training and a safe learning environment for staff to improve their skills and performance in future projects. The study also recommends that a special category for bridge contractors be created in Kenya’s National Construction Authority rankings to ensure that only qualified contractors implement the Bridge projects.
文摘With the continuous development of music education,percussion,as an important form of performance,has led to growing attention to the psychological training of its performers.This study aims to explore how psychological factors in percussion performance impact stage expressiveness and to propose corresponding psychological training strategies.By analyzing relevant domestic and international literature,we found that psychological training not only enhances performers’confidence and alleviates performance anxiety but also contributes to an overall improvement in performance quality.This study shows that methods such as emotional management and cognitive restructuring exhibit promising application potential in practice.Therefore,exploring a systematic psychological training program is significant for improving the stage expressiveness of percussion performers.
文摘Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic condition characterized predominantlyby hyperglycemia. The most common causes contributing to the pathophysiologyof diabetes are insufficient insulin secretion, resistance to insulin’stissue-acting effects, or a combination of both. Over the last 30 years, the globalprevalence of diabetes increased from 4% to 6.4%. If no better treatment or cure isfound, this amount might climb to 430 million in the coming years. The major fact-ors of the disease’s deterioration include age, obesity, and a sedentary lifestyle.Finding new therapies to manage diabetes safely and effectively without jeopardizingpatient compliance has always been essential. Among the medicationsavailable to manage DM on this journey are glucagon-like peptide-1 agonists,thiazolidinediones, sulphonyl urease, glinides, biguanides, and insulin-targetingreceptors discovered more than 10 years ago. Despite the extensive preliminarystudies, a few clinical observations suggest this process is still in its early stages.The present review focuses on targets that contribute to insulin regulation andmay be employed as targets in treating diabetes since they may be more efficientand secure than current and traditional treatments.
文摘This study develops a procedure to rank agencies based on their incident responses using roadway clearance times for crashes. This analysis is not intended to grade agencies but to assist in identifying agencies requiring more training or resources for incident management. Previous NCHRP reports discussed usage of different factors including incident severity, roadway characteristics, number of lanes involved and time of incident separately for estimating the performance. However, it does not tell us how to incorporate all the factors at the same time. Thus, this study aims to account for multiple factors to ensure fair comparisons. This study used 149,174 crashes from Iowa that occurred from 2018 to 2021. A Tobit regression model was used to find the effect of different variables on roadway clearance time. Variables that cannot be controlled directly by agencies such as crash severity, roadway type, weather conditions, lighting conditions, etc., were included in the analysis as it helps to reduce bias in the ranking procedure. Then clearance time of each crash is normalized into a base condition using the regression coefficients. The normalization makes the process more efficient as the effect of uncontrollable factors has already been mitigated. Finally, the agencies were ranked by their average normalized roadway clearance time. This ranking process allows agencies to track their performance of previous crashes, can be used in identifying low performing agencies that could use additional resources and training, and can be used to identify high performing agencies to recognize for their efforts and performance.

文摘Learning Management System(LMS)is an application software that is used in automation,delivery,administration,tracking,and reporting of courses and programs in educational sector.The LMS which exploits machine learning(ML)has the ability of accessing user data and exploit it for improving the learning experience.The recently developed artificial intelligence(AI)and ML models helps to accomplish effective performance monitoring for LMS.Among the different processes involved in ML based LMS,feature selection and classification processesfind beneficial.In this motivation,this study introduces Glowworm-based Feature Selection with Machine Learning Enabled Performance Monitoring(GSO-MFWELM)technique for LMS.The key objective of the proposed GSO-MFWELM technique is to effectually monitor the performance in LMS.The pro-posed GSO-MFWELM technique involves GSO-based feature selection techni-que to select the optimal features.Besides,Weighted Extreme Learning Machine(WELM)model is applied for classification process whereas the parameters involved in WELM model are optimallyfine-tuned with the help of May-fly Optimization(MFO)algorithm.The design of GSO and MFO techniques result in reduced computation complexity and improved classification performance.The presented GSO-MFWELM technique was validated for its performance against benchmark dataset and the results were inspected under several aspects.The simulation results established the supremacy of GSO-MFWELM technique over recent approaches with the maximum classification accuracy of 0.9589.

文摘Now the top management team and managerial discretion play an important role in driving the firms’development.This paper built a theoretical model to explore the effect of top management team heterogeneity on firm performance,and analyze the moderating role of managerial discretion.Based on the data of 167 listed firms from Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2019,this paper constructs a multiple regression model and tested the hypothesis.The empirical results show that gender heterogeneity,tenure heterogeneity and education level heterogeneity have a negative effect on firms performance.At the same time managerial discretion can partially moderates the relationship between the heterogeneity of top management team and firm performance,in which capital intensity and the firm size play a negative moderating role,and duality play a positive moderating role.According to the research results,this paper also puts forward corresponding suggestions to improve the firm performance.
文摘Unit nurse managers in Malawi experience many challenges in the course of performing their roles. This affects their performance and service delivery including the quality of nursing care to patients. This study was conducted to determine the factors that hindered performance of unit managers in relation to expected quality of nursing services at two referral facilities (Kamuzu and Queen Elizabeth Central hospitals) in Malawi. These two central hospitals have the same structural settings and both offer specialized tertiary health services. A quantitative descriptive design was used to guide the planning and implementation of the study. Purposive sampling was used to select the two major hospitals in Malawi and all available 37 unit nurse managers during the time of the study at the two hospitals participated in the study. Data were collected using semi-structured questionnaires after seeking consent from the participants and were analyzed using SPSS version 16.0. The major roles identified by the unit managers were supervision (75.6%, n = 28) and coordination (70.3%, n = 26). Other roles such as team leader, liaison officer, research allocator, monitor and facilitator were rated by very few participants. Findings of the study showed that performance of unit nurse managers was affected by inadequate material (86.4%, n = 32) and human resources (94.5%, n = 35) and lack of managerial skills (5.4%, n = 2). In addition, the unit managers perceived their role to be stressful (38.9%, n = 14) and challenging (47.2%, n = 17). Therefore, there is a need to provide adequate material and human resources to the wards of the two central hospitals to enable the unit managers perform their duties efficiently.
文摘Investors should always argue about management fees because of their impact on net performance that can be substantial.This especially for investments,like real estate,which require intensive management.However,different from traditional mutual funds that are usually related to the gross value of the assets under management,but similar to other financial industry sectors(e.g.hedge funds and private equity funds),REIT managers’compensation structure typically provides a basically fixed payment based alternatively on gross asset value(GAV)or net asset value(NAV).In addition,managers usually also gain a performance fee.The paper analyses how the two alternative compensation schemes influence REITs’investment decisions and capital structure and,consequently,REITs’share value and performance.The final issue addressed is whether—and under which conditions—one compensation scheme is superior to the other.Due to the(usual)market price discount on NAVs,both fee structures incentivise managers to leverage—even in a tax-free environment—in order to maximize the management fees.However,the leverage motivation is stronger for GAV-based than for NAV-based REITs,which are also expected to be more selective in investment decisions.Overall,considering initial fee percentage,GAV-based REITs are expected to execute higher management fees than NAV-based REITs due to the relevant leverage effect.Moreover,debt recourse produces different effects on share value if measured upon market price or net asset value.The empirical analysis focuses on public Italian REITs(2002-2012).The results seem to support the theoretical expectations.GAV-based REITs experience higher debt trends and levels than NAV-based REITs.At the same time,GAV-based REITs register lower real estate asset returns gross and net of management fees for both current and growth yields.Differences in the returns lead to permanent higher performances over total return indexes of NAV-based REITs compared to GAV-based REITs.
文摘This paper describes an innovative adaptive algorithmic modeling approach, for solving a wide class of e-business and strategic management problems under uncertainty conditions. The proposed methodology is based on basic ideas and concepts of four key-field interrelated sciences, i.e., computing science, applied mathematics, management sciences and economic sciences. Furthermore, the fundamental scientific concepts of adaptability and uncertainty are shown to play a critical role of major importance for a (near) optimum solution of a class of complex e-business/services and strategic management problems. Two characteristic case studies, namely measuring e-business performance under certain environmental pressures and organizational constraints and describing the relationships between technology, innovation and firm performance, are considered as effective applications of the proposed adaptive algorithmic modeling approach. A theoretical time-dependent model for the evaluation of firm e-business performances is also proposed.
文摘In this study, the cooperative shareholders' performance and satisfaction were investigated as antecedent. Charismatic leadership of cooperative managers has been identified as antecedent. In addition, shareholders' age, education, land size, and duration of membership in the cooperative were investigated to have effect on the shareholder's performance and satisfaction. Charismatic leadership of cooperative managers is the subject of research on the effects of performance and satisfaction of the cooperative shareholders. A field survey was conducted. This study has been applied to Cukobirlik, an agricultural sale cooperative in East Mediterranean of Turkey. The researchers collected data by random questionnaire method. The research data were collected from 155 cooperative shareholders. For the data, exploratory factor, correlation, and regression were analyzed. The results of this analysis show that there is a meaningful relationship between charismatic leaders and the performance and satisfaction of shareholders for these cooperatives. Another result, there is significant relation between land size of cooperative shareholders and the performance and satisfaction of cooperative shareholders.

文摘A great deal of research found that fund performance is related to a series of personal characteristics of fund managers,but how these personal characteristics affect fund performance is still unknown.China is the most important emerging country and the second largest economy in the world.The development of China's capital market is different from that of most developed countries.Therefore,empirical evidence on the performance of funds in developed countries often cannot be extended to the Chinese market.In addition,there is evidence that many successful fund managers in developed countries may not achieve good performance in China.Therefore,it is particularly meaningful to examine the determinants of fund performance in the Chinese market.This paper establishes a three-level framework model to study this connection.Considering return and risk,the two basic factors that affect fund performance,this paper chooses nine proxy variables:Sharpe ratio,Jensen index,Treynor index,abnormal return(α),total risk(β),non-systemic risk,standard deviation of return,stock choosing ability and time picking ability as the criteria to measure the comprehensive performance.This paper investigates China's open-end funds to fill the gap in literature on the relationship between fund managers'personal characteristics and fund performance in emerging capital markets.The results of this paper found that age,gender,fund manager years,number of funds under management,master's or doctor’s degree,MBA degree,business background and fund managers have better stock choosing ability,higher abnormal return and better overall performance has a significant positive relationship.The results of further decomposition indicate that the abnormal return is the main influencing factor of the fund's comprehensive performance;the abnormal return is also affected by the fund manager's ability of stock choosing and time picking.In addition,stock choosing ability is the main factor affecting abnormal return.Therefore,the education background of the fund manager’s personal characteristics will affect the abnormal return and ultimately affect the comprehensive performance of the fund.This paper also finds that gender and majors affect fund managers'risk control behavior.The research results in this paper have great practical significance.Firstly,it introduces a framework that can explain how the individual characteristics of fund managers affect the performance mechanism of funds.Secondly,the findings in China's stock market supplement the empirical evidence in the mature markets of developed countries.Since China is already the largest emerging economy in the world,the results of this study are of great significance not only to Chinese researchers,but also to international scholars who want to study China's capital market.Thirdly,the empirical study is of great practical significance to test the ability of fund managers to divide abnormal earnings into stock choosing ability and time picking ability.

文摘In recent years, managers' self-interest motivation has been attracting more and more attention from both the academia and practice.Therefore, the ways and depth of managers' self-interest motivation influencing listed companies' operating performance has become a hot research area with important theoretical and practical significance. Based on the samples of A-share companies listed in Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchange during 2012-2014. we studied different effects of managers' self-interest motivation on listed company's business performance under different situations.The innovation of this paper mainly lies in the following two points: on the one hand, we did not adopt the previous research methods which does not distinguish different kinds of company's business performance. Therefore, we divided business performance into two types firstly, then we made empirical text of the influences of managers' self-interest motivation on business performance by virtue of Hausman Model and drew related conclusions under different situations of operating performance. On the other hand, the index measuring managers' self-interest is relatively new.
