Semantic Document Layout Analysis of Handwritten Manuscripts

A document layout can be more informative than merely a document’s visual and structural appearance.Thus,document layout analysis(DLA)is considered a necessary prerequisite for advanced processing and detailed document image analysis to be further used in several applications and different objectives.This research extends the traditional approaches of DLA and introduces the concept of semantic document layout analysis(SDLA)by proposing a novel framework for semantic layout analysis and characterization of handwritten manuscripts.The proposed SDLA approach enables the derivation of implicit information and semantic characteristics,which can be effectively utilized in dozens of practical applications for various purposes,in a way bridging the semantic gap and providingmore understandable high-level document image analysis and more invariant characterization via absolute and relative labeling.This approach is validated and evaluated on a large dataset ofArabic handwrittenmanuscripts comprising complex layouts.The experimental work shows promising results in terms of accurate and effective semantic characteristic-based clustering and retrieval of handwritten manuscripts.It also indicates the expected efficacy of using the capabilities of the proposed approach in automating and facilitating many functional,reallife tasks such as effort estimation and pricing of transcription or typing of such complex manuscripts.

Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts

Preprocessing Model of Manuscripts in Javanese Characters

Manuscript preprocessing is the earliest stage in transliteration process of manuscripts in Javanese scripts. Manuscript preprocessing stage is aimed to produce images of letters which form the manuscripts to be processed further in manuscript transliteration system. There are four main steps in manuscript preprocessing, which are manuscript binarization, noise reduction, line segmentation, and character segmentation for every line image produced by line segmentation. The result of the test on parts of PB.A57 manuscript which contains 291 character images, with 95% level of confidence concluded that the success percentage of preprocessing in producing Javanese character images ranged 85.9% - 94.82%.

论我国学术期刊运营中的制度建设--以稿件采编中的干扰与回避为例

我国已是世界上科研产出的大国,但在成果的刊发和传播环节尚未拥有与之相匹配的地位,具体表现即是缺乏数量足够的世界一流学术期刊。我国学术期刊虽有进步与发展,然而整体上运营仍受传统办刊模式的影响,在规范化、制度化方面尚需发力,尤其是不能有效应对和克服诸如权力、人情等对采编的干扰,抑制了公正、公平筛选稿件,限制着期刊学术品质与学术声誉的提高。我国期刊亟需加强和完善内部制度建设,通过自我赋能、向内挖潜,增强期刊的影响力、提升期刊品质。建章立制、实施规则之治,当成为助推我国期刊迈向现代化的重要举措。在采编环节,完善制度、认真实行回避,遴选出优质稿件,用正向激励的办法促进优秀中外稿件向我国期刊的汇聚。

2022—2023年《保健医学研究与实践》外审退稿护理论文特征分析

目的探讨2022—2023年《保健医学研究与实践》外审退稿护理论文特征,以期为临床护理人员科研工作提供参考,提高护理类论文质量和稿件录用率。方法本研究选取2022—2023年本刊外审退稿护理论文130篇为研究对象。收集各论文的基本情况,包括第一作者单位所在地区、单位性质[医疗卫生机构(级别、是否为高校附属医院)还是高等学校]、是否有基金项目、第一作者学历、第一作者职称、论文类型、论文合作人数、详细退稿意见。结果第一作者单位所在省份以河南居首,占52.31%。第一作者单位性质以医疗机构为主,占99.23%。基金项目方面以没有基金项目为主,占80.00%。其中,一级医院占1.55%(2/129),二级医院占11.63%(15/129),三级医院占86.82%(112/129);高校附属医院占27.13%(35/129),非附属医院占72.87%(94/129)。第一作者学历以本科为主,占94.61%。第一作者职称以中级为主,占58.46%。论文类型以论著为主,占96.92%。外审退稿论文的退稿原因中占比前3位的依次是缺乏创新性,观察指标选择不恰当或不完整,研究组(干预组均统一命名为研究组)干预方法与对照组雷同或混淆,分别占98.46%、92.31%、84.62%。124篇论著的干预措施主要是针对性护理、预见性护理、集束化护理、延续性护理、人性化护理、多学科协作护理模式、循证护理等,分别占11.29%、6.45%、5.64%、6.44%、4.83%、4.83%、4.03%。120篇论文退稿原因均有观察指标选择不恰当或不完整。归纳具体的退稿原因包括:观察指标和干预措施相互隔离,测评的指标不是干预的内容(92.50%);测评指标意义不大(21.67%);测评指标没有主次(99.17%);测评指标与干预措施因果关系存疑(49.17%);测评指标可行性不强(31.67%);测评指标选择过于简单(19.17%)。结论临床护士的科研素养还有很大的提升空间。尤其需对他们进行选题、观察指标选择、干预方案书写方面的培训。

古代文学研究的新领域——中国文集日本写本的收藏、整理与研究

域外汉籍中存在着大量中国典籍的汉文写本。这些写本或为中国失传的文献,或与传世之本多有差异。域外汉文写本可以成为中国古代文学研究的新领域,其中中国文集日本写本与古代文学研究的关系最为密切。中国文集日本写本在日本公立图书馆、大学图书馆、公私文库、寺院以及个人手中皆有收藏。自江户时代开始,学者就已经注意到这批文献的价值,《佚存丛书》《古逸丛书》《京都帝国大学文学部景印旧钞本》等丛书中皆有收录。晚近以来,学术界对中国文集日本写本也进行了整理与研究,但仍有大量文献未进入研究视野。应尽快展开对中国文集日本写本全面的调查、编目与叙录,并从“东亚汉文写本学”与书籍史的角度对其进行整体研究,同时深入对五山时代中国文集汉文“抄物”写本的研究。

清华简《五纪》五种“文德”研究

《五纪》作者从天下治理和中央王权的意识出发,试图构建一个中央突出、无所不包、井井有条、各有其位的宇宙图景,道德系统的搭建就是其中必要的一环。《五纪》之德就主体而言,基本上可以分为“民德”和“君德”两类;就性质而言,基本上可以分为“德行”和“德政”两类。五种“文德”主要指向“民德”,表现为“德行”,体现为外在的规矩与准绳,以帮助实现各有其位、井然有序的宇宙秩序。五种“文德”并不侧重伦理意义上德性的生成和教化,而主要强调的是政治意义上的作用和功能。
