The aluminium all...The present work focused on corrosion inhibition of AA6063 type Al-Mg-Si alloy in sodium chloride (NaCI) solution with a silicon carbide inhibitor, using the potentiodynamic electrochemical method. The aluminium alloy surface morphology was examined, in the as-received and as-corroded in the un-inhibited state, with scanning electron microscopy equipped with energy dispersive spectroscopy (SEM-EDS). The results obtained via linear polarization indicated a high corrosion potential for the unprotected as-received alloy. Equally, inhibition efficiency as high as 98.82% at 10.0 g/v silicon carbide addition was obtained with increased polarization resistance fRy), while the current density reduced significantly for inhibited samples compared to the un-inhibited aluminium alloy. The adsorption mechanism of the inhibitor aluminium alloy follows the Langmuir adsorption isotherm. This shows that the corrosion rate of aluminium alloy with silicon carbide in NaCI environment decreased significantly with addition of the inhibitor.展开更多

On the basis of the current technology and features of applications, an open thre...It is urgent and necessary to integrate a marine geographical information system (MGIS) with marine remote sensing detection modules. On the basis of the current technology and features of applications, an open three-layer integration framework is designed. At the data layer, a two-level three-base integration mechanism based on the plug-in technology is applied; At the function layer, an integration mode based on API, DLL, EXE and COM is discussed; and at the application layer, a sharing mechanism based on the clients/service is adopted. As an example, the remote sensing integrated application information system of China's coastal zone and offshore (MaXplorer1. 0) with muhiecology remote sensing fusion and assimilation module, surge detection module as well as eight other thematic application modules is integrated, and the key technology of integration is discussed at different layers and in different modules. The result shows that it is possible to realize the conformity of technology and resources and to provide the incorporate technology platform for marine information operational functioning after applying the integration framework.展开更多

This paper will focus on the results of the core of the OBSS (on board stability system) module that, starting from the exact 3D geometry of a ship hull, described by a discrete model in a standard format, the distribution of all weights onboard and the data acquired by the system, calculates ship floating conditions (in draught, heel and trim). The proposed approach is based on geometry meshes represented by an universally accepted file format (named OBJ) first developed by Wavefront Technologies. Demonstration of the validity of the results is done by the authors using as hull model a simple rectangular box.展开更多

As an economical and environmentally friendly technology, the roll bonding process is expected to become the next-generation mainstream process for the manufacturing of titanium clad steel plate. Some of the crucial and most important technical problems of this particular process, including vacuum sealing technology, surface treatment process technology, application of a transition layer, and rolling process, were discussed along with the advantageous mechanical properties and life-cycle economy of these plates processed by this technology. Finally, the market needs, application trends, and requirements of titanium clad steel plate were also considered from industries of petrochemical, shipbuilding, marine, and electric power.展开更多
To meet the requirement of high tracking angular accuracy for the acquisition, tracking, and pointing (ATP) subsystem of the free-space optical communication, and provide the basis for the further optical communicatio...To meet the requirement of high tracking angular accuracy for the acquisition, tracking, and pointing (ATP) subsystem of the free-space optical communication, and provide the basis for the further optical communication between maritime mobile platforms, the experimental system, which executing part for the fine tracking is voice coil motor with high frequency and good performance for error compensation, is established, and the whole system can be controlled by personal computer. A series of experiments has been done for the simulation target of different uniform speed, and the data of tracking error for fine tracking and coarse tracking are collected, analyzed and evaluateds separately, and the real-time optical power of communication laser is also collected. The result shows that standard deviation for ATP system tracking error increases with the increase of target speed, while the range of tracking error appears to be no order. Furthermore, communication link can be hold for a long time.展开更多
