A Corpus Study of Acupuncture from the Perspective of Mass Media Based on the Corpus of Contemporary American English

Based on the Corpus of Contemporary American English(COCA),this study examines acupuncture from the perspective of mass media.Acupuncture has been circulating throughout the Chinese Cultural Circle since the Qin and Han Dynasties,and has since spread directly or indirectly to the rest of the world.The United States boasts the world’s second-largest acupuncture market,with its laws,regulations,industry growth,research,and education all positively influencing the development of acupuncture in other nations.This study uses COCA to analyze the form and content of acupuncture’s dissemination in eight different types of media.The findings show that acupuncture appears in COCA a total of 1,788 times,with the highest frequency in magazines,followed by blogs,and the lowest frequency in fiction.These findings reveal the popularity of acupuncture in mass media in the United States and provide empirical data and insights for the future dissemination and development of acupuncture in the United States.

The Evolution of Mass Media and Shanghai-Style Suzhou Pingtan in Modern Shanghai

With the development of urban culture in modern Shanghai,Shanghai style(海派Haipai)has gradually formed its own features.As a crucial component of urban culture,modern mass media reflects the essence of Shanghai-style culture in its development.Its modernity,commerciality,openness,and innovation display the cultural trait of keeping up with the times.During the Xianfeng and Tongzhi periods of the Qing Dynasty(1851-1875),Suzhou Pingtan(苏州评弹)was introduced to Shanghai due to the influence of the Taiping Rebellion(太平天国战争),and began its Shanghai-style evolution in the context of modern mass media.On the one hand,modern newspapers and electronic media became crucial tools for the promotion of Suzhou Pingtan performers;on the other hand,the daily lives,performing careers,and public images of these performers became focal points of media attention.Mass media facilitated the Shanghai-style development of Suzhou Pingtan,and through it,changes in commercial awareness,performance styles,artistic expressions,musical innovation,and the celebrity-like performers all reflected the process of Shanghai-style development in Pingtan art.

Social bots and mass media manipulated public opinion through dual opinion climate

Opinion dynamics models based on the multi-agent method commonly assume that interactions between individuals in a social network result in changes in their opinions.However,formation of public opinion in a social network is a macroscopic statistical result of opinions of all expressive individuals(corresponding to silent individuals).Therefore,public opinion can be manipulated not only by changing individuals'opinions,but also by changing their states of expression(or silence)which can be interpreted as the phenomenon"spiral of silence"in social psychology.Based on this theory,we establish a"dual opinion climate"model,involving social bots and mass media through a multi-agent method,to describe mechanism for manipulation of public opinion in social networks.We find that both social bots(as local variables)and mass media(as a global variable)can interfere with the formation of public opinion,cause a significant superposition effect when they act in the same direction,and inhibit each other when they act in opposite directions.

Priority Directions of National Policy of Regulation of Mutual Relations Between Youth and Mass Media： The Theoretical and Empirical Researches

The study was concerned with the problem of the Russian youth, with a special emphasis on the history of the theoretical and empirical researches devoted to the youth issues. The research delineates the term thesaurus and its connection with the formation of youth＇s outlook. The central focus of the research is social and cultural value orientations of the young Russian. The study presents a detailed analysis of impact that mass media plays in socialization of youth, its generations, its influence on public opinion formation and priority directions of national policy of regulation of mutual relations between youth and mass media. It attempts to examine the presence of mass media in youth＇s everyday life. The research provides a detailed analysis of contemporary state of the youth＇s trust to the mass media and degree of dependence on it. The study also presents a detailed analysis of the traces of mass media＇s influence on young Russians. The completed research is fundamental for the sociological and the philosophical generalisations that underline comparative research on the youth problems in Russia, its social and cultural value orientations and the influence on public opinion formation and priority directions of national policy of regulation of mutual relations between youth and mass media.

A Cumulative Proportional Odds Model to Analyze the Influence of Mass Media on Teenagers in Messina

The media are constantly evolving at a breakneck pace and mainly young people, with their flexibility of mind and their continuous curiosity, can better understand the characteristics and potential of such advances. The aim of this paper is to analyze the relationship between teenagers and media, in order to try to better understand the habits and to conduct analysis on social interactions with young people. In order to evaluate the influence of mass media in the life of the young people, the Statisticians of Messina University decided to perform a statistical survey to evaluate the influence of the media in the life of Messina＇s teenagers. A questionnaire entitled ＂Perceptions of the influence exerted by mass media＂ was administered in some schools. From the methodological point of view, three statistical models were estimated in order to formalize the dependence of the mass media influence by the kind of TV programs, the time spent on TV viewing and computer use and the kind of most used social networks. Since the mass media influence is an ordinal variable expressed by four ordered categories （1 = nothing; 2 = low; 3 = average; 4 = high） we used the Cumulative Proportional Odds Model to formalize the dependence by the potential predictors.

Two-Dimensional Modeling of the NAPL Dissolution in Porous Media: Heterogeneities Effects on the Large Scale Permeabilities and Mass Exchange Coefficient

In this paper, we are interested by the dissolution of NAPL (Non-Aqueous Phase Liquid) contaminants in heterogeneous soils or aquifers. The volume averaging technique is applied to 2D systems with Darcy-scale heterogeneities. A large-scale model is derived from a Darcy-scale dissolution model in the case of small and large Damkholer numbers, i.e., for smooth or sharp dissolution fronts. The resulting models in both cases have the mathematical structure of a non-equilibrium dissolution model. It is shown how to calculate the resulting mass exchange and relative permeability terms from the Darcy-scale heterogeneities and other fluid properties. One of the important finding is that the obtained values have a very different behavior compared to the Darcy-scale usual correlations. The large scale correlations are also very different between the two limit cases. The resulting large-scale models are compared favorably to Darcy-scale direct simulations.

古籍文化的大众传播新方式研究——以《典籍里的中国》为例

近年来,随着文化类综艺受欢迎程度的进一步提高,古籍题材也渐渐被引入综艺作品,并逐渐成为古籍文化大众传播最具潜力的方式之一。节目制作团队致力于在主题选择、内容制作、叙事结构及宣传方面寻找最具传播力的策略,以提高传播效果,促进古籍融入大众生活。文章以《典籍里的中国》为例,从古籍文化大众传播的目标出发,探寻以新媒体为媒介传播时,传播者通过深入理解古籍文化,精选多领域的大众化符号,采用古今对话的戏剧形式、多线并行的平行时空叙述结构和平民化、多元化的叙述视角,同时借助硬件设施加持和全平台多元化宣传输出,实现古籍文化的有效传播。

基于德尔菲法的大众媒体控烟作品评价指标体系构建

目的构建科学的大众媒体控烟作品评价指标体系,为控烟传播实践提供有效指导。方法采用文献资料法构建大众媒体控烟作品评价指标体系初稿,经2轮德尔菲专家咨询后确定最终的指标体系,根据权重调查分析确定各级指标权重。结果共邀请到29名专家参与德尔菲专家咨询,2轮德尔菲咨询专家积极系数均为100%,专家权威系数Cr均>70%,各指标重要性均数均>3,变异系数Cv的取值区间为0.09~0.39。最终确定的大众媒体控烟作品评价指标体系包括5项一级指标、18项二级指标。其中,一级指标的权重系数分别为0.18、0.20、0.22、0.10、0.30,二级指标的权重系数区间为0.10~0.70。结论本研究构建的大众媒体控烟作品评价指标体系可为媒体控烟作品评价提供科学的评估工具,有助于推动媒体更好地开展控烟传播活动。

基于社交媒体数据的应急决策大群体群智知识挖掘及其价值测度方法研究

本文针对突发事件下的社交媒体数据体量庞大,但能够辅助应急决策的大群体群智知识分布无序且价值难以测度的问题,提出了一种应急决策大群体群智知识挖掘及其价值测度方法。首先,基于社交媒体博文数据,依据特定应急决策知识框架,采用TF-IDF(term frequency-inverse document trequency)法和改进后的词汇链算法构建了应急决策大群体群智知识挖掘方法;然后,提出了博文热度计算方法,在此基础上根据知识的语义重要性计算博文包含的群智知识总价值,并使用Shapley函数对群智知识价值进行分配;最后,以“新冠疫情”事件为案例对方法进行应用,并通过对比分析说明了方法的有效性和优越性。
