In recent years,as a promising way to realize digital transformation,digital twin shop-floor(DTS)plays an impor-tant role in smart manufacturing.The core feature of DTS is the synchronization.How to implement and maintain the synchronization is critical for DTS.However,there is still a lack of a common definition for synchronization in DTS.Besides,a systematic synchronization mechanism for DTS is strongly needed.This paper first summarizes the defi-nition and requirements of synchronization in DTS,to clarify the understanding of synchronization in DTS.Then,a 5M synchronization mechanism for DTS is proposed,where 5M refers to multi-system data,multi-fidelity model,multi-resource state,multi-level state,and multi-stage operation.As a bottom-up synchronization mechanism,5M synchronization mechanism for DTS has the potential to support DTS to achieve and maintain physical-virtual state synchronization,and to realize operation synchronization of DTS.The implementation methods of 5M synchronization mechanism for DTS are also introduced.Finally,the proposed synchronization mechanism is validated in a digital twin satellite assembly shop-floor,which proves the effectiveness and feasibility of the mechanism. 展开更多

Synchronization mechanism of clapping rhythms in mutual interacting individuals

In recent years, clapping synchronization between individuals has been widely studied as one of the typical synchronization phenomena. In this paper, we aim to reveal the synchronization mechanism of clapping interactions by observing two individuals’ clapping rhythms in a series of experiments. We find that the two synchronizing clapping rhythm series exhibit long-range cross-correlations(LRCCs);that is, the interaction of clapping rhythms can be seen as a strong-anticipation process. Previous studies have demonstrated that the interactions in local timescales or global matching in statistical structures of fluctuation in long timescales can be sources of the strong-anticipation process. However, the origin of the strong anticipation process often appears elusive in many complex systems. Here, we find that the clapping synchronization process may result from the local interaction between two clapping individuals and may result from the more global coordination between two clapping individuals. We introduce two stochastic models for mutually interacting clapping individuals that generate the LRCCs and prove theoretically that the generation of clapping synchronization process needs to consider both local interaction and global matching. This study provides a statistical framework for studying the internal synchronization mechanism of other complex systems. Our theoretical model can also be applied to study the dynamics of other complex systems with the LRCCs, including finance, transportation, and climate. 展开更多

In response to the problems of low efficiency,high labor intensity,and low mechanization in manual tobacco harvesting,a comb-off tobacco picking device for southern hilly tobacco areas was designed following the agronomic requirements and the principle of manual picking of tobacco harvesting in southern China.The device was composed of the power chassis,picking mechanism,and storage mechanism.This study involved the theoretical analysis,structural design,and modeling of the key components,such as chassis structure,combing-type picking mechanism,and power synchronization mechanism.The results of the motion analysis and calculation of the picking process demonstrated that the adjustment range of the comb chain elevation angles was from 12.4°to 20.9°,the comb rod installation distance was 76.2 mm,and the synchronizing mechanism transmission ratio was 3:10.One-factor test and three-factor three-level orthogonal test was performed with the forward speed of the chassis,the distance between the picking device baffles and the elevation angle of the chain with the combing bar as test factors,and the rate of broken and missed tobacco picking as evaluation indicators.It was revealed that the optimal combination of the forward speed of the chassis,the distance between the baffles,and the chain elevation angle were 1.5 km/h,75 mm,and 12.4°,respectively.Moreover,verification tests suggested that the breakage rate of tobacco leaves was 9.99%,and the probability of missed tobacco picking was 7.31%,both of which satisfy the agriculture requirements and the operational requirements in the agricultural machinery certification syllabus. 展开更多
