Based on the porous media theory and by taking into account the efects of the pore fuid viscidity, energy exchanges due to the additional thermal conduction and convection between solid and fuid phases, a mathematical...Based on the porous media theory and by taking into account the efects of the pore fuid viscidity, energy exchanges due to the additional thermal conduction and convection between solid and fuid phases, a mathematical model for the dynamic-thermo-hydro-mechanical coupling of a non-local thermal equilibrium fuid-saturated porous medium, in which the two constituents are assumed to be incompressible and immiscible, is established under the assumption of small de- formation of the solid phase, small velocity of the fuid phase and small temperature changes of the two constituents. The mathematical model of a local thermal equilibrium fuid-saturated porous medium can be obtained directly from the above one. Several Gurtin-type variational principles, especially Hu-Washizu type variational principles, for the initial boundary value problems of dy- namic and quasi-static responses are presented. When sea surface wavelengths are not larger than microwave wavelengths,the microwave emissivity of Gaussian rough sea surfaces can be investigated by applying effective media theory(EMT)of rough surfaces.For one-dimen...When sea surface wavelengths are not larger than microwave wavelengths,the microwave emissivity of Gaussian rough sea surfaces can be investigated by applying effective media theory(EMT)of rough surfaces.For one-dimensional Gaussian sea surface,the microwave emissivity model is proposed by EMT,which regards the air-sea rough interface as a new effective medium of isotropic permittivity between the top layer of air and the bottom layer of seawater.The emissivity model is controlled by the root mean square deviation(RMSD)of the rough surface height and the correlation length of the rough surface.Results clearly show that the emissivity increases along with the RMSD increase if the latter is smaller than a critical value.Furthermore,excess emissivities and the brightness temperature increments for a wind-roughened sea surface can be estimated from those of flat surfaces by fitting the RMSD as a function of wind speed.Good agreements are obtained by comparing the results of our model with the satellite data at microwave frequencies of 1.4,6.8,18,21,and 37 GHz,respectively.Moreover,these findings imply that our method can be extended to retrieve the sea surface parameters,such as RMSD and the correlation length of the rough surface,from the satellite data.展开更多

By tuning ...In this paper, a new type of resonant Brewster filters (RBF) with surface relief structure for the multiple channels is first presented by using the rigorous coupled-wave analysis and the S-matrix method. By tuning the depth of homogeneous layer which is under the surface relief structure, the multiple channels phenomenon is obtained. Long range, extremely low sidebands and multiple channels are found when the RBF with surface relief structure is illuminated with Transverse Magnetic incident polarization light near the Brewster angle calculated with the effective media theory of sub wavelength grating. Moreover, the wavelengths of RBF with surface relief structure can be easily shifted by changing the depth of homogeneous layer while its optical properties such as low sideband reflection and narrow band are not spoiled when the depth is changed. Furthermore, the variation of the grating thickness does not effectively change the resonant wavelength of RBF, but have a remarkable effect on its line width, which is very useful for designing such filters with different line widths at desired wavelength.展开更多
