Research on the development methodology for clinical practice guidelines for organic integration of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine

Integrated traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)and Western medicine(WM)is a new medical science grounded in the knowledge bases of both TCM and WM,which then forms a unique modern medical system in China.Integrated TCM and WM has a long history in China,and has made important achievements in the process of clinical diagnosis and treatment.However,the methodological defects in currently published clinical practice guidelines(CPGs)limit its development.The organic integration of TCM and WM is a deeper integration of TCM and WM.To realize the progression of"integration"to"organic integration",a targeted and standardized guideline development methodology is needed.Therefore,the purpose of this study is to establish a standardized development procedure for clinical practice guidelines for the organic integration of TCM and WM to promote the systematic integration of TCM and WM research results into clinical practice guidelines in order to achieve optimal results as the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.

Matching traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine-based research:Advanced nutraceutical development for proactive gastric cancer prevention

Gastric cancer(GC),the third leading cause of cancer-related death globally,is complex and heterogeneous.This review explores multidisciplinary investigations of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)combined with Western medical practices,emphasizing the development of nutraceuticals for cancer prevention.Using advanced analytical chemistry and food chemistry techniques,this study investigated how TCM components may be optimized for nutraceutical development.Focusing on molecular interactions with GC pathways,particularly the NF-κB,PI3K/Akt,and Wnt/β-catenin pathways,we examined the effects of TCM polyherbal formulas,extracts,and isolated compounds.These agents modulate apoptosis and cellular proliferation,underscoring their potential in preventive strategies.The convergence of nutraceutical and medicine food homology studies highlights a significant shift towards integrating TCM-derived compounds in a preventive health framework.This approach aims not only to enhance efficacy and reduce side effects but also to champion a preventive paradigm using personalized medicine to advance proactive health maintenance and disease prevention.The combination of TCM and western medical practices offers promising avenues for future research and practical applications in GC prevention.

Application of Classical Prescriptions of Rhizome Chinese Herbal Medicines for Medicine and Food Homology and Development Status of Its Modern Food

The efficacy,application and compatibility of five kinds of Chinese Herbal Medicines medicine(including yam,licorice,Platyc-odonisi Radix,Polygonati Rhizoma,and Pueraria Lobata)for medicine and food homology in the past five years were systematically searched and summarized,and the current situation of their food development was reviewed to provide theoretical basis for the research and development of this kind of CHMs for health care.

The Dissemination and Development of Chinese Medicine in Pakistan

The article focuses on the dissemination and development of Chinese medicine in Pakistan.Religious records show that Chinese medicine was introduced to Pakistan as early as 1,400 years ago,while Hijama(Chinese cupping)was used by Prophet Hazrat Muhammad to cure different types of diseases.Exchanges and cooperations between China and Pakistan continue to the present day.Acupuncture and moxibustion therapy,cupping therapy and herbal medicine are practiced with significant merits in today’s Pakistan.In the future,with the proposal of the Belt and Road Initiative and the landmark project of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor,Chinese medicine can be strengthened through cooperations at the herbal medicine trade level,the research and development level,the educational level,and the social association level.

Guidelines for application of high-content screening in traditional Chinese medicine:concept,equipment,and troubleshooting

High-content screening(HCS)technology combines automated high-speed imaging hardware and single-cell quantitative analysis.It can greatly accelerate data acquisition in cellular fluorescence imaging and is a powerful research technique in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).An increasing number of laboratories and platforms,including TCM laboratories,have begun utilizing HCS systems.However,this technology is still in its infancy in TCM research and there is a lack of sufficient experience with the associated concepts,instrument configurations,and analysis methods.To improve the understanding of HCS among researchers in the field of TCM,this paper summarizes the concept of HCS,software and hardware configuration,the overall research process,as well as common problems and related solutions of HCS in TCM research based on our team’s previous research experience,providing several research examples and an outlook on future perspectives,aiming to provide a technical guide for HCS in TCM research.

Developments in the study of Chinese herbal medicine's assessment index and action mechanism for diabetes mellitus

In traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),based on various pathogenic symptoms and the‘golden chamber’medical text,Huangdi Neijing,diabetes mellitus falls under the category‘collateral disease’.TCM,with its wealth of experience,has been treating diabetes for over two millennia.Different antidiabetic Chinese herbal medicines re-duce blood sugar,with their effective ingredients exerting unique advantages.As well as a glucose lowering effect,TCM also regulates bodily functions to prevent diabetes associated complications,with reduced side effects compared to western synthetic drugs.Chinese herbal medicine is usually composed of polysaccharides,saponins,al-kaloids,flavonoids,and terpenoids.These active ingredients reduce blood sugar via various mechanism of actions that include boosting endogenous insulin secretion,enhancing insulin sensitivity and adjusting key enzyme activity and scavenging free radicals.These actions regulate glycolipid metabolism in the body,eventually achiev-ing the goal of normalizing blood glucose.Using different animal models,a number of molecular markers are available for the detection of diabetes induction and the molecular pathology of the disease is becoming clearer.Nonetheless,there is a dearth of scientific data about the pharmacology,dose-effect relationship,and structure-activity relationship of TCM and its constituents.Further research into the efficacy,toxicity and mode of action of TCM,using different metabolic and molecular markers,is key to developing novel TCM antidiabetic formulations.

Integration and development of veterinary Chinese medicine insight into the development of human Chinese medicine

Chinese veterinarians shine brightly in the long river of history.To examine the beginnings and growth of Chinese Medicine(CM)and Chinese Veterinary Medicine(CVM),the evolution of veterinary Chinese medicine and the common use of herbs by humans and animals were presented.This study summarizes the history of development and the current situation of Chinese veterinary medicine.Explain that veterinary Chinese medicine refers to drugs and their preparations applied under the guidance of CVM theory.Focus on distinguishing the similarities and differences between veterinary Chinese medicine and plant medicine,veterinary Chinese medicine with the complexity and efficacy of integrity,low harmful residue,not easy to produce resistance,and other characteristics.Veterinary Chinese medicine places great emphasis on clinical practice.veterinary Chinese medicine has a long history of veterinary clinical experience and data,which reflects the practical characteristics of veterinary Chinese medicine.The application experience of CM in the prevention and control of animal diseases and promoting animal growth was introduced.

Visual Analysis of the Application and Development Trend of Cinnamon in the Field of Traditional Chinese Medicine Based on CiteSpace

[Objectives]This study was conducted to explore the application and development trend of Chinese medicinal material cinnamon in the field of traditional Chinese medicine.[Methods]Articles published from 2008 to 2023 were exported using"cinnamon"as the subject word in the Chinese database of CNKI.Knowledge graphs were drawn by CiteSpace software on the number of articles published,the institutions publishing articles,and keyword clustering,and the data were sorted by Excel.Combined with the extracted information,the application of cinnamon in traditional Chinese medicine and integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine was analyzed,and its development trend was discussed and prospected,providing further reference for researchers.[Results]The number of articles published showed an overall upward trend and maintained a high number of articles.In the analysis of the journals publishing articles,the journal with the largest number of articles was West China Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences,which had certain representativeness.In the analysis of institutions publishing articles,the institution with the largest number of articles was Beijing University of Chinese Medicine,and most institutions had little cooperation.Four categories was obtained in keyword clustering,respectively,general research,component identification,production process and product development of cinnamon."Glycyrrhizin"was the keyword with the earliest burst time,and the hot words that have received much attention in recent years are"medication law"and"data mining".[Conclusions]The application of cinnamon in the field of traditional Chinese medicine is mainly to treat diseases and as raw materials for traditional Chinese medicine products.The development trend is"quality control"and"product research and development".Further research and development of cinnamon in traditional Chinese medicine need to promote the participation of more institutions to participate,and cooperation and communication between institutions should be strengthened to promote the deep integration of production,research and academia.

Application of patient-derived tumor models in anticancer drug development and individualized medicine

Malignant tumor is the second leading cause of death due to its high incidence, lack of effective treatment and poor prognosis. The evaluation of anticancer drugs used to based on NCI-60 cell line models, but the limited heterogeneity and the divorce from clinical practice of models lead to extremely low success rate of novel anticancer drugs during clinical trials (less than 10%). In recent years, because of the high heterogeneity and human derived tumor matrix, patient-derived tumor models have been gradually applied to the preclinical evaluation of various antitumor drugs, which shows certain advantages in predicting the clinical efficacy of antitumor drugs. Optimize the drug combination through patient-derived tumor models to achieve individualized medicine has gradually become an indispensable strategy in clinical cancer therapy. The current review summarized the development of patient-derived tumor models, characterized the application, advantages and challenges of them in preclinical antitumor drug evaluation and clinical precise medicine, which will provide a scientific basis and novel insights for further basic research, drug development and clinical application.

A Brief Discussion on the Construction of Practical Teaching System for the Traditional Chinese Medicine Resources and Development Major

China’s traditional medicine,science,and technology industry has great development potential.However,there is a problem of insufficient practitioners in the current industrial development.At the same time,the capabilities of existing practitioners do not match the demand standards.Therefore,it is necessary to actively promote the education of resources and development in Central Asia.As an institution for cultivating talents,colleges and universities must establish a practical teaching system for cultivating talents.Based on the requirements put forward by China in education,this article studies the development status of the traditional Chinese medicine resources and development major,determines the talent training goals,starts from the practical teaching aspect,and locates the industry’s requirements for the capabilities of personnel in the field of traditional Chinese medicine.It also puts forward the overall idea of the construction of the practical teaching system,summarizes the reform content of the practical teaching system,and lastly provides the specific path of the reform.

Research on the Development Strategy of Panxi Sunshine Health and Wellness Homestays and Hotels Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Preservation

This study is the first phase of research results from the student innovation project“Yunqiao Sunshine Health and Wellness Homestay”group at Chengdu Normal University.By analyzing the current state of the Sunshine Health and Wellness Tourism Area economy in the Panxi region of Sichuan,local policies,and the current state of Sunshine Health and Wellness homestays and hotels,this paper proposes the possibility of developing Sunshine Health and Wellness homestays and hotels through traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)health preservation methods.It also proposes development strategies for such hotels through a market survey SWOT analysis.

自然光条件下光自芬顿/PMS协同体系处理新污染物的实验设计

为强化学生对新污染物处理理论和实验技能的掌握,设计了光自芬顿/过氧单硫酸盐(PMS)协同体系在自然光条件下对新污染物的强化降解实验。利用水热法和浸渍法制备改性氮化碳空心球MoS_(2)/TCN_(Cl-S)(P),以四环素(TC)作为新污染物代表,构建了光自芬顿/PMS协同体系,基于其耦合效应,提高在自然光条件下污染物的降解效率。结果表明,光自芬顿/PMS体系对TC在120min内的降解率可以达到80%,较不引入PMS的光自芬顿体系提高了30%。其原因在于光自芬顿反应中产生的H_(2)O_(2)与PMS发生协同作用,产生了更多的·O_(2)^(-)、SO_(4)^(-)·和^(1)O_(2)等活性自由基,从而提高了TC的降解效率。该实验设计体系有助于促进学生对高级氧化技术的掌握,为学生科研创新能力培养体系的构建提供参考。

地区空气污染的“压力”与企业绿色转型的“动力”——基于城市PM2.5和公司并购的实证发现

地区空气污染会影响域内各类市场主体行为,包括微观企业决策。碳达峰、碳中和的提出要求各地加强空气污染治理,推动企业绿色转型,而绿色并购是企业绿色转型的重要方式。利用2013—2018年我国A股上市的污染企业发起的并购为样本,并手动搜集整理确定绿色并购样本,实证研究地区空气污染对域内企业绿色转型的影响。研究发现,地区空气污染加剧会提升域内污染企业绿色并购的意愿。在此基础上,通过并购前后企业信息披露质量和社会责任承担变化,研究发现地区空气污染加剧下的企业绿色转型并非源于自主绿色转型发展的内生“动力”,更多是外部“压力”下的“工具主义”行为。从影响路径来看,地区空气污染引致的压力会通过行业竞争和融资约束这两个途径影响污染企业绿色转型的“动力”。最后,异质性检验发现在市场化程度高和非国有企业样本,地区空气污染加剧对企业绿色并购的促进作用更为显著。

MLH1和PMS2在胃癌组织中的缺失水平及价值分析

目的探讨胃癌患者组织中错配修复(mismatch repair,MMR)蛋白MLH1、PMS2的缺失及表达水平,并分析高缺失者与患者临床特征的相关性。方法选取2014年5月至2022年3月青海省人民医院收治的275例胃癌患者为研究对象,回顾性收集患者MMR蛋白的表达资料,并结合临床特征进行统计学分析。结果在275例患者中,MLH1的缺失率为8.36%(23/275),PMS2的缺失率为18.18%(50/275),MLH1和PMS2的共同缺失率为7.27%(20/275)。MLH1的缺失率与PMS2的缺失率比较差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。PMS2的缺失率与MLH1和PMS2的共同缺失率比较差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。MLH1的缺失与胃癌患者的年龄、分化程度、Ki67指数、神经侵犯和Her-2状态有关(P<0.05);PMS2的缺失与胃癌患者的年龄、肿瘤部位和Ki67指数有关(P<0.05);MLH1和PMS2共同缺失与胃癌患者的年龄、肿瘤部位、肿瘤直径、分化程度、神经侵犯、Ki67指数和Her-2状态有关(P<0.05)。MLH1和PMS2在胃癌中表达呈正相关(r=0.539,P<0.001)。结论MLH1的缺失与胃癌患者较多的临床病理特征相关,MLH1、PMS2在胃癌中表达呈正相关。

The Inheritance and Development of Chinese Narrative Medicine Practice to the Philosophical Wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Starting from the inheritance and promotion of Chinese life philosophy and traditional Chinese medicine wisdom by Chinese narrative medicine practice,this paper discusses the inheritance and echo relationship between the“close textual reading ability”in Chinese narrative medicine practice and the“four diagnoses”in traditional Chinese medicine wisdom,narrative mediation and the“mind-body holistic philosophy”in traditional Chinese medicine,and narrative wisdom and Dao Sheng in Chinese life philosophy.Meanwhile,by analyzing the stories of contemporary doctors’practice of narrative intelligence,this paper expounds that Chinese narrative medicine is a new model of medical education and clinical practice based on the absorption of Chinese traditional life wisdom and the essence of traditional Chinese medicine culture,and the integration of western narrative medicine concepts.It also advocates Chinese scholars to actively build the discipline of“narrative traditional Chinese medicine,”constantly translate the academic achievements to foreign countries,and create a good narrative ecology of traditional Chinese medicine.

Development status of novel spectral imaging techniques and application to traditional Chinese medicine

Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)is a treasure of the Chinese nation,providing effective solutions to current medical requisites.Various spectral techniques are undergoing continuous development and provide new and reliable means for evaluating the efficacy and quality of TCM.Because spectral techniques are noninvasive,convenient,and sensitive,they have been widely applied to in vitro and in vivo TCM evaluation systems.In this paper,previous achievements and current progress in the research on spectral technologies(including fluorescence spectroscopy,photoacoustic imaging,infrared thermal imaging,laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy,hyperspectral imaging,and surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy)are discussed.The advantages and disadvantages of each technology are also presented.Moreover,the future applications of spectral imaging to identify the origins,components,and pesticide residues of TCM in vitro are elucidated.Subsequently,the evaluation of the efficacy of TCM in vivo is presented.Identifying future applications of spectral imaging is anticipated to promote medical research as well as scientific and technological explorations.
