Life-cycle cost(LCC)theory can be effectively applied to improve the efficiency and quality of power plant equipment and asset management.However,specific aspects of the LCC calculation and evaluation model require further research for practical application.This paper proposes an LCC assessment model for the management of electric power plant equipment during its service life.A membership function method based on fuzzy logic is used to improve the allocation of modernization and overhaul projects to multiple equipment assets.An LCC assessment model and evaluation system for power equipment are proposed and successfully applied to the equipment and project management of a Guangzhou power plant in the China Southern Power Grid,providing a decision-making mechanism that facilitates efficient operation and optimal utilization of power plant equipment and assets. 展开更多

The quantum probability theory of fuzzy event is suggested by using the idea and method of fuzzy mathematics, giving the form of fuzzy event path integral, membership degree amplitude, fuzzy field function, Green function, physical quantity and fuzzy diagram. This theory reforms quantum mechanics, making the later become its special case. This theory breaks unitarity, gauge invariance, probability conservation and information conservation, making these principles become approximate ones under certain conditions. This new theory, which needs no renormalization and can naturally give meaningful results which are in accordance with the experiments, is the proper theory to describe microscopic high-speed phenomenon, whereas quantum mechanics is only a proper theory to describe microscopic low-speed phenomenon. This theory is not divergent under the condition of there being no renormalization and infinitely many offsetting terms, thereby it can become the theoretical framework required for the quantization of gravity. 展开更多

In the process of concept design of offshore platforms, it is necessary to select the best from feasible alternatives through comparison and filter. The criterion set, used to evaluate and select the satisfying alternative, consists of many qualitative and quantitative factors. Therefore, the selection is a problem of multicriteria and semi-structural decision-making. Different from traditional methods in semi-structural decision-making, a new framework and methodology is presented in this paper for evaluation of offshore platform alternatives, First, the criterion set is established for the evaluation of alternatives. Next, the approach is studied to construct the relative membership degree matrix, in which both qualitative and quantitative factors are consistent with the uniform calculating standard. And then a new weight-assessing method is developed for calculation of the weights based on the relative membership degree matrix. Finally, a multi-hierarchy fuzzy optimum model is adopted to select the satisfying offshore platform alternative. A case study shows that the new framework and methodology are scientific, reasonable and easy to use in practice. 展开更多

Changbai, a well-known tourist attraction near the North Korean-Chinese border, are assessed. This study is divided into two parts, namely, landslide hazard zonation and risk assessment. The 1992 Anbalagan and Singh method of landslide hazard zonation (LHZ) was modified and used in this area. In this way, an Associative Analysis Method was used in representative areas to get a measure for controlling factors (slope gradient, relative relief, vegetation, geology, discontinuity development, weak layer thickness and ground water). For the membership degree of factor to slope failure, the middle range of limited values was used to calculate LHZ. Based on an estimation of the potential damage from slope failure, a reasonable risk assessment map was obtained using the relationship of potential damage and probable hazard to aid future planning and prediction and to avert loss of life. 展开更多

A model of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation for water saving irrigation system (WSIS) decision making is proposed based on establishing an index system affected by six kinds of basic factors including qualitative and quantitative indexes. The object function of WSIS is set up by using the concept of fuzzy membership degree, it is to transform characteristic vector matrix into unify membership matrix and extending the least square method to the least of weighted distance square. The optimum weighted membership degree and the inferior weighted membership degree are used to solve the object function. This method effective solves the problem of classify for fuzzy attributive indexes and the problem of optimum for the set of different attributive indexes. A case study shows that the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model is reasonable and effective in decision making for water saving irrigation system planning. 展开更多

This paper focuses on the study about risky multiobjective group decision-making problem where the index value is not certain. We give indexes classifying method and index normalizing formula of this type problem. By building objective function that minimizes general weighted distance from every alternative to the relatively best and worst alternative, the optimal membership degree of every decision-maker to every alternative can be obtained, and by building another objective function that minimizes general weighted distance from the optimal membership degree of every decision-maker to every alternative to the group optimal alternative and the group inferior alternative, the optimal membership degree of every decision-maker to every alternative can be obtained, which are both based on probability theory and fuzzy theory. Aftermost a model is established which collects group preferences. This method provides a new idea and approach for solving multiobjective decision-making problem among uncertain system, which is applicable for practical problem. To enhance the segmentation performance and robustness of kernel weighted fuzzy local information C-means(KWFLICM) clustering for image segmentation in the presence of high noise, an improved KWFLICM algorithm aggregating neighborhood membership information is proposed. This algorithm firstly constructs a linear weighted membership function by combining the membership degrees of current pixel and its neighborhood pixels. Then it is normalized to meet the constraint that the sum of membership degree of pixel belonging to different classes is 1. In the end, normalized membership is used to update the clustering centers of KWFLICM algorithm. Experimental results show that the proposed adaptive KWFLICM(AKWFLICM) algorithm outperforms existing state of the art fuzzy clustering-related segmentation algorithms for image with high noise. 展开更多

Traditional spatial clustering methods have the disadvantage of "hardware division", and can not describe the physical characteristics of spatial entity effectively. In view of the above, this paper sets forth a general multi-dimensional cloud model, which describes the characteristics of spatial objects more reasonably according to the idea of non-homogeneous and non-symmetry. Based on infrastructures' classification and demarcation in Zhanjiang, a detailed interpretation of clustering results is made from the spatial distribution of membership degree of clustering, the comparative study of Fuzzy C-means and a coupled analysis of residential land prices. General multi-dimensional cloud model reflects the integrated char- acteristics of spatial objects better, reveals the spatial distribution of potential information, and realizes spatial division more accurately in complex circumstances. However, due to the complexity of spatial interactions between geographical entities, the generation of cloud model is a specific and challenging task. 展开更多

Collaborative filtering (CF) is one of the most popular techniques behind the success of recommendation system. It predicts the interest of users by collecting information from past users who have the same opinions.... Collaborative filtering (CF) is one of the most popular techniques behind the success of recommendation system. It predicts the interest of users by collecting information from past users who have the same opinions. The most popular approaches used in CF research area are Matrix factorization methods such as SVD. However, many well- known recommendation systems do not use this method but still stick with Neighborhood models because of simplicity and explainability. There are some concerns that limit neighborhood models to achieve higher prediction accuracy. To address these concerns, we propose a new exponential fuzzy clustering (XFCM) algorithm by reformulating the clustering's objective function with an exponential equation in order to improve the method for membership assignment. The proposed method assigns data to the clusters by aggressively excluding irrelevant data, which is better than other fuzzy C-means (FCM) variants. The experiments show that XFCM-based CF improved 6.9% over item-based method and 3.0% over SVD in terms of mean absolute error for 100 K and 1 M MovieLens dataset. 展开更多
