Although there are works on non-monotonic extension of linear temporal logic (LTL) and branching time temporal logic (CTL),the non-monotonic extension of alternating-time temporal logic (ATL) which is an important kind of multi-agent cooperation logics has not been discussed yet in literature. To solve this problem, this paper proposed non-monotonic alternating-time temporal logic with belief and goal, namely N-ATL-BG,to facilitate the non-monotonic reasoning of mental states of agents. The semantic model, syntax and semantics of this new logic are developed. A model checking algorithm which can be finished in polynomial time is proposed for this new logic. Examples are given to show its usage.展开更多

Preventing and relieving frailty may reduce the possibility of developing cognitive impairment. <strong>Objective: </strong>This study aimed to investigate frailty prevalence and its correlation with cognitive function in elderly surgical inpatients. <strong>Methods: </strong>We enrolled a random sample of elderly surgical inpatients from Jingzhou from June 2020 to August 2020. We used a self-made registration sheet to collect their demographic data (gender, age, nationality, educational level and monthly income), and used the FRAIL Scale to assess the prevalence of frailty, and used the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) to assess cognitive function. We used multiple linear regression analysis to explore the correlation between frailty level and demographic data, then Pearson correlation analysis was performed to analyze the correlation between frailty and cognitive function. <strong>Results: </strong>In the 143 elderly surgical inpatients, prevalence of frail was seen in 29 (20.3%), and pre-frail state was found in 64 (44.8%). Only 50 (34.9%) were in healthy state. Cognitive impairment was seen in 28 (19.5%). Pearson correlation analysis showed that the frail scoring was correlated with cognitive function in elderly surgical inpatients (r = -0.378, P < 0.05). <strong>Conclusion:</strong> The prevalence of frailty is high in elderly surgical inpatients, which is closely related to age and gender. Elderly surgical inpatients have high cognitive impairment, and frailty appears strongly associated with cognitive status. The findings suggest that attention should be paid to the frailty and cognitive function in the elderly surgical inpatients by pro-vision of effective interventions.展开更多

In this paper we will examine: (l) the supposedly existing metaphor of urban and industrial man as sheep at the beginn!ng of Chaplin's film Modern Times; and (2) the sequence of the awakening stone lion in Eisenstein's Battleship Potemkin as metaphor of the proletarian revolt against czarism. We will arrive to the notion of a purely metaphoric film, which together with Zavattini's ideal film showing 90 minutes in the life of a man to whom nothing happens, will helps us draw some conclusions about montage and narrativity in cinema. Especially interesting in this connection is the fact that symbolical shots as the mentioned ones are like description in literature, that is, they have nothing to do neither with the time of the story nor with the time of the discourse.展开更多

Dementia is one of the recognized issues in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease patients (PDP) as it is becoming a major contributor to morbidity. The objective of our study was to evaluate the cognitive decline in Parkinson’s disease patients (PDP) and the influence of cognition on daily living function deterioration in cognitively impaired and cognitively unimpaired PDP. Cognitively impaired PDP (n = 24), and cognitively unimpaired PDP (n = 16) were administered MoCA and MMSE performance based tests for cognitive measurements and Alzheimer’s Disease Cooperative Study Activities of Daily Living Inventory (ADCS-ADL) to determine everyday functioning. The significances of MoCA and MMSE among cognitively impaired PDP and cognitively unimpaired PDP in univariant analysis were P < 0.001 and P < 0.05. In partial correlation, MoCA was strongly related to ADL function as compare to MMSE (r = 0.623, P = 0.001). Cognitively impaired PDP showed significantly lower score on visuo-construction and attention. Among all variables of MoCA domains, attention is strongly associated with instrumental activity daily living (IADL) scores (logistic regression coefficient = 0.672, P = 0.01). These results suggest that dementia affects daily living performances especially the IADL tasks like attention and execution. Therefore, the assessment of complex daily activities particularly IADL is probably useful for the diagnosis of early stage cognitive impairment in PDP. Further MMSE test is less sensitive than MoCA for detecting significant cognitive decline in PDP and impaired attention is an important determinant of ADL functions in cognitively impaired PDP.展开更多

Methods: Adopting grouped randomized double-blinded control method, 180 LC-HB patients in 3 research centers were distributed to 2 groups, the treated group and the control group, 90 in each group. Patients in the treated group were administered with FZHYT; while those in the control group treated with conventional therapy combined with placebo, the course for all patients were 6 months. Their mental state and social activity were evaluated before treatment, after 3 months' treatment and at terminal of the 6-month therapeutic course by estimating with Zung self-rating anxiety scale (SAS), self-rating depression scale (SDS) and social deficit screening scale (SDSS). Additionally, the basic demographic materials, liver function, cirrhosis index, hepatic and splenic images, blood coagulation function, etc. in the patients were tested and compared as well. Results: As compared with before treatment, the normal rate of SAS and SDS scores increased and the social deficit rate decreased in the treated group significantly after treatment, showing statistical significance (P〈0.05 or P〈0.01); while in the control group, change was only shown in the social deficit (P〈0.01), inter-group comparisons after treatment showed significant differences in all the three indexes (P〈0.05 or P〈0.01). Additionally, after treatment, levels of liver function, cirrhosis, blood coagulation function and splenomegaly in the treated group were all improved significantly (P〈0.05 or P〈0.01), and the improvements were better than those in the control group (P〈0.01) in levels of total bilirubin (TBIL), albumin (ALB), type 1V collagen (1V-C), prothrombin time (PT), prothrombin activity (PTA). Conclusion: Most patients of LC-HB have mental disturbance and social activity deficit, which could definitely be improved by intervention with Chinese FZHYT.展开更多

文摘How to accurately recognize the mental state of pilots is a focus in civil aviation safety. The mental state of pilots is closely related to their cognitive ability in piloting.Whether the cognitive ability meets the standard is related to flight safety. However, the pilot’s working state is unique, which increases the difficulty of analyzing the pilot’s mental state. In this work,we proposed a Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)that merges attention to classify the mental state of pilots through electroencephalography(EEG).Considering the individual differences in EEG,semi-supervised learning based on improvedK-Means is used in themodel training to improve the generalization ability of the model. We collected the EEG data of 12 pilot trainees during the simulated flight and compared the method in this paper with other methods on this data. The method in this paper achieved an accuracy of 86.29%,which is better than 4D-aNN and HCNN etc.Negative emotion will increase the probability of fatigue appearing, and emotion recognition is also meaningful during the flight. Then we conducted experiments on the public dataset SEED,and our method achieved an accuracy of 93.68%.In addition,we combine multiple parameters to evaluate the results of the classification network on a more detailed level and propose a corresponding scoring mechanism to display the mental state of the pilots directly.
文摘BACKGROUND Periodontitis is a chronic oral disease caused by pathogenic microorganisms that corrode tooth tissue, form periodontal pockets, absorb alveolar bone, and finally lead to tooth loss.During treatment, patients are prone to anxiety, tension, and other negative emotions, which affect their ability to face the disease and may also lead to aggravation of the original condition and affect oral health. Therefore,it is important to improve the negative psychology of patients with periodontitis to clarify the factors that may lead to negative psychological emotions.AIM To investigate the risk factors that may lead to anxiety and depression in patients with periodontitis.METHODS One hundred patients with periodontitis were selected between March 2022 and March 2023 at our hospital. All patients were assessed with the Zung Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS)(≥53 points indicate a depressive state)and Zung Selfrating Anxiety Scale(SAS)(≥50 points indicates an anxious state). In this study, patients who experienced anxiety or depression were included in the occurrence group and those without anxiety or depression were included in the nonoccurrence group. The baseline data of the two groups were compared to explore the risk factors for anxiety and depression in patients with periodontitis.RESULTS A total of 100 patients with periodontitis were included in this study.According to the SDS,38 patients(38.00%)developed depression, with an average SDS score of(68.52±5.85)points.According to the SAS,40 patients(40.00%)developed anxiety, and the average SAS score was(72.15±4.15)points.In this study,56 patients with anxiety or depression were included.Compared with the nonoccurrence group, the occurrence group had higher ages(≥60 years),lower level of hope(low level),educational level(high school or below),disease perception(poor),and sleep disorder(yes). The negative coping dimension scores of the simplified coping style questionnaire(SCSQ)and Dental Fear Scale(DFS)in the occurrence group were higher, whereas the score of the positive coping dimension of the SCSQ was significantly lower(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in the other data between the groups(P>0.05).The results of multiple logistics regression analysis showed that age(≥60 years),level of hope(low level),educational level(high school or below),disease perception(poor),sleep disorder(yes),high negative coping dimension scores of SCSQ,high score of DFS,and low positive coping dimension scores of SCSQ were all factors contributing to the anxiety and depression in patients with periodontitis(odds ratio>1,P<0.05).CONCLUSION Age,hope level, educational level, disease perception, sleep disorders, coping style, and dental fear were all associated with anxiety and depression in patients with periodontitis.

文摘Mental state verbs(MSVs)are believed to be closely related with the development of Theory of Mind(ToM).Studies on MSVs have yielded fruitful results abroad over the past three decades, especially in ToM,while it still has a long way to go for the Mandarin-speaking children. The present study focuses on mental state verbs in Mandarin-speaking children and explores the universality of ToM,as well as the development features. An analysis of their spontaneous speech from the CHILDES archives reveals, first, that Mandarin-speaking children use desire terms much earlier than other terms, suggesting a pattern of theory-of-mind development similar to that in English;second, the developmental trend of the MSVs is relatively steady while the number of different categories varies a lot. This study suggests a consistency in the overall sequence, but variation in the timing of beginning and end points, which is helpful to further related investigation.
文摘Background:At the beginning of the 70s,Dr.Candace Pert discovered for the first time the first component of the molecules of emotion, explaining and demonstrating how the mind and the body are interconnected. This study aims to confirm the importance of emotions and how they intervene or are related to different types of pathologies, thus confirming the importance that this relationship represents for the state of health.Method:A systematic review has been carried out on the implication that emotions have on the state of health.A generalized search was carried out, preferably in articles published and related to our study in the last five years, mainly basing the bibliographic review on H ealth S ciences and S ocial S ciences databases. Results:We have been able to verify how emotions,in general, can favor or worsen diseases such as heart, mental, eating disorders, autoimmune diseases,or cancer, among others;in addition to the importance of positive and negative emotions in all kinds of diseases. Conclusions:We have seen throughout this study how emotions interfere with our state of health, especially due to the greater number of negative emotions that surround us daily to the detriment of the positive emotions that we know favor the state of not only physical and emotional health but also of social and general well-being.We need to look for situations or environments that,in a certain sense, foster positive emotions every day and in any place where we find ourselves(home,work,street,etc.).

文摘Temporal logics are often adopted as basic tools to specifying mental states such as belief and goal of agents. Examples are given to show its usage.

文摘BACKGROUND Efficiently detecting Parkinson's disease(PD)with dementia(PDD)as soon as possible is an important issue in geriatric medicine.AIM To develop a model for predicting PDD based on various neuropsychological tests using data from a nationwide survey conducted by the Korean Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and to present baseline data for the early detection of PDD.METHODS This study comprised 289 patients who were 60 years or older with PD[110 with PDD and 179 Parkinson's Disease-Mild Cognitive Impairment(PD-MCI)].Regression with optimal scaling(ROS)was used to identify independent relationships between the neuropsychological test results and PDD.RESULTS In the ROS analysis,Korean version of mini mental state ex-amination(MMSE)(KOREAN version of MMSE)(b=-0.52,SE=0.16)and Hoehn and Yahr staging(b=0.44,SE=0.19)were significantly effective models for distinguishing PDD from PD-MCI(P<0.05),even after adjusting for all of the Parkinson's motor symptom and neuropsychological test results. The optimal number of categories(scaling factors)for KOREAN version of MMSE and Hoehn and Yahr Scale was 10 and 7,respectively.CONCLUSION The results of this study suggest that among the various neuropsychological tests conducted, the optimal classification scores for KOREAN version of MMSE and Hoehn and Yahr Scale could be utilized as an effective screening test for the early discrimination of PDD from PD-MCI.
文摘<strong>Background:</strong> Frailty is a geriatric syndrome, and a common negative consequence of aging, which shares some obvious characteristics as cognitive impairment. The findings suggest that attention should be paid to the frailty and cognitive function in the elderly surgical inpatients by pro-vision of effective interventions.
文摘The theory of rhetorical figures in cinema is highly problematic, besides it can be considered as outdated as the semiotic theory of cinema,1 yet it is convenient to reexamine the idea of"cinematographic metaphor" in order to throw some light on the dominant idea of cinema as narrative medium. Especially interesting in this connection is the fact that symbolical shots as the mentioned ones are like description in literature, that is, they have nothing to do neither with the time of the story nor with the time of the discourse.
文摘Cognitive decline in Parkinson’s disease (PD) is defined as dementia which affects activities of daily living (ADL) function. Further MMSE test is less sensitive than MoCA for detecting significant cognitive decline in PDP and impaired attention is an important determinant of ADL functions in cognitively impaired PDP.

文摘Objective: To observe the influence of Fuzheng Huayu Tablet (扶正化瘀片, FZHYT) on mental state and social activity of patients with post-hepatitis B liver cirrhosis (LC-HB). Conclusion: Most patients of LC-HB have mental disturbance and social activity deficit, which could definitely be improved by intervention with Chinese FZHYT.

文摘In this paper,I will explore some philosophical implications of Williamson’s thesis that knowing is a state of mind(KSM).Using the fake barn case,I will introduce a way to evaluate Williamson’s KSM thesis and determine whether the Williamsonian mental state of knowing can be plausibly distinguished from certain other similar but epistemologically distinctive states of mind(i.e.,accidentally true beliefs). Then, some tentative externalist accounts of the supposed differences between the Williamsonian mental state of knowing and accidentally true beliefs will be critically assessed, implying that the evaluated traditional versions of externalism in semantics and epistemology do not fit well with Williamson’s KSM thesis.Ultimately,I suggest that the extended-mind or extended-knower approach may be more promising, which indicates that active externalism would be called for by Williamson’s KSM thesis.
