Six Ni-Mo catalysts with different metal contents were prepared and characterized by N2 adsorption and X-ray diffi'actometry. The active phase microstructure of these catalysts was examined by the Raman spectroscopy, temperature- programmed reduction (TPR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. Hydrodesulfurization (HDS) activity of catalyst samples were analyzed in a flow fixed-bed microreactor. The sulfidation degree of Mo and the length of the MoS2 slab slightly increased with the amount of metal loaded following sulfidation. This small change is attributed to polymolybdate species observed in all the oxidized catalysts. Weak metal-support interactions, as determined by the TPR technique, increased the NiSx sulfidation phase and MoS2 slab stacking. The HDS activity of the catalyst samples increased with the number of active sites. For high metal loading catalysts, their HDS activity was nearly identical because the sulfur atoms cannot easily approach active sites. This change is caused by the large number of stacked layers in the MoS2 slabs as well as the decrease in the specific surface area and pore volume of the catalyst samples with an increasing metal loading. 展开更多

This study was aimed at investigating the performance of anaerobic rotating biological cont- reactor treating synthetic wastewater containing a mixture of heavy metals under sulfate redu condition. Statistically valid factorial design of experiments was carried out to understand dynamics of metal removal using this bioreactor system. Copper removal was maximum (〉98% followed by other heavy metals at their respective low inlet concentrations. Metal loading rates than 3.7 mg/L· h in case of Cu(II); less than 1.69 mg/L· h for Ni(II), Pb(II), Zn(II), Fe(III) and C are favorable to the performance of the An-RBC reactor. Removal efficiency of the heavy metals 1 mixture depended on the metal species and their inlet loading concentrations. Analysis of n precipitates formed in the sulfidogenic bioreactor by field emission scanning electron microscopyalong with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (FESEM-EDX) confirmed metal sulfide precipitationby SRB. All these results clearly revealed that the attached growth biofilm bioreactor is well suited for heavy metal removal from complex mixture. 展开更多

In this work, adsorption energies, geometrical and electronic structures for adsorption systems of O_2 at metal-loaded graphene(M-Gra) and metal-loaded defective graphene(M-D-Gra)(M = Ni, Pd, Pt and Al) surfaces are studied using a GGA-PW91 method. Calculated results show that loaded M make the interaction between O_2 and the graphene surface change from physical to chemical adsorptions, band gaps of M-Gra systems after the O_2 adsorption change, and the Ni-loaded Gra has the highest sensitivity to O_2. For O_2-M-D-Gra systems, interactions between O_2 and the M-D-Gra surfaces are chemical, similar to the O_2-M-Gra systems, and loaded Pt and Al have the strongest effect on the sensitivity of D-Gra to O_2. The M loads at the perfect Gra and D-Gra surfaces make the interactions between O_2 and the surfaces have obvious charge transfer. This work would provide a valuable guidance on the gas sensitivity study of graphene to O_2. 展开更多

A metal rubber(MR) dry friction damper was designed based on the load supported by the rotor. An experimental apparatus for obtaining hysteresis loops of support under the precession load was designed. The elastic-damping characteristics of the ring-shaped MR damper used as a rotor support under variable loads were presented by studying the hysteresis loops of the damper. The vibration rigidity and the energy dissipation coefficient were calculated from the hysteresis loops, based on the description of the deformation process of the MR element with simple structure in a dimensionless coordinating system. The calculation results showed that the energy dissipation coefficient in the inner of MR element and on the boundary between the damper and the frame of the rotor support were approximately equal. The comparison of the hysteresis loops for a precession load and a one-axial load indicated a large difference when the coefficient of the energy dissipation and the stiffness of the MR damper were concerned. 展开更多

In order to meet the high temperature environment requirement of deep and superdeep well exploitation, a technology of large length-to-diameter ratio metal stator screw lining meshing with rotor is presented. Based on the elastic-plasticity theory, and under the consideration of the effect of tube size, material mechanical parameters, friction coefficient and loading paths, the external pressure plastic forming mechanical model of metal stator screw lining is established, to study the optimal loading path of metal stator lining tube hydroforming process. The results show that wall thickness reduction of the external pressure tube hydroforming(THF) is about 4%, and three evaluation criteria of metal stator screw lining forming quality are presented: fillet stick mold coefficient, thickness relative error and forming quality coefficient. The smaller the three criteria are, the better the forming quality is.Each indicator has a trend of increase with the loading rate reducing, and the adjustment laws of die arc transition zone equidistance profile curve are acquired for improving tube forming quality. Hence, the research results prove the feasibility of external pressure THF used for processing high-accuracy large length-to-diameter ratio metal stator screw lining, and provide theoretical basis for designing new kind of stator structure which has better performance and longer service life. 展开更多

Budgets of Cd, Pb and Zn in small ecosystems of the Shubra El-Kheima area in Egypt are presented. The budgets are not in steady state because they change with time. So the concentrations of the metals are a function of time. The critical loads of heavy metals to soils can be calculated from an inventory of inputs and outputs of the trace components in the catchment area. Critical time is an important parameter for critical load evaluation because it can indicate which of the heavy metals may be the most acute threat to the soils. Egyptian soil in the Shubra El-Kheima area seems to be in danger of heavy metal pollution by Zn, Cd and Pb. The calculated critical loads and their exceedances are approximate indicators of the hazards in the soil system. The critical time is a warning signal to initiate an environmental evaluation of possible pollution hazards. 展开更多

To protect important resources under their bureau’s purview, the United States National Park Service’s (NPS) Arctic Network (ARCN) has developed a series of “vital signs” that are to be periodically monitored. One of these vital signs focuses on wet and dry deposition of atmospheric chemicals and further, the establishment of critical load (CL) values (thresholds for ecological effects based on cumulative depositional loadings) for nitrogen (N), sulfur, and metals. As part of the ARCN terrestrial monitoring programs, samples of the feather moss Hylocomium splendens are being collected and analyzed as a cost-effective means to monitor atmospheric pollutant deposition in this region. Ultimately, moss data combined with refined CL values might be used to help guide future regulation of atmospheric contaminant sources potentially impacting Arctic Alaska. But first, additional long-term studies are needed to determine patterns of contaminant deposition as measured by moss biomonitors and to quantify ecosystem responses at particular loadings/ ranges of contaminants within Arctic Alaska. Herein we briefly summarize 1) current regulatory guidance related to CL values 2) derivation of CL models for N and metals, 3) use of mosses as biomonitors of atmospheric deposition and loadings, 4) preliminary analysis of vulnerabilities and risks associated with CL estimates for N, 5) preliminary analysis of existing data for characterization of CL values for N for interior Alaska and 6) implications for managers and future research needs. 展开更多

Measurement of anomalous nuclear reaction in deuterium-loaded metal

This paper reports on an experiment for testing natural nuclear fusion at low temperature searching for evidence of the origin of 3He from natural nuclear fusion in deep Earth. The experiment was carried out using deuterium-loaded titanium foil samples and powder sample. Detection of charged particle was carried out using a low-level charged particle spectrometer. An A1 foil was used as an energy absorber for identification of charged particle. Although the counting rate is very low in the experiment, the emission of energetic particle from the sample is observed and the particle is identified as a proton having energy about 2.8 MeV after exiting the titanium sample. This work provides a positive result for the emission of charged particle in the deuterium-loaded titanium foil samples at low temperature, but a negative result for the deuterium-loaded titanium powder sample. The average reaction yield is deduced to be (0.46±0.08) protons/h for the foil samples. With the suggestion that the proton originates from d-d reaction, we calculate the reaction rate for d-d reaction, and the obtained result is 1.4×10^-24 fusion/d-d.sec. The negative result of the deuterium-loaded titanium powder sample suggests that the reaction yield might be correlated with the density or microscopic variables of deuterium-loaded titanium materials. The negative result also indicates that d-d reaction catalysed by μ-meson from cosmic ray can be excluded in the samples in this experiment. 展开更多

Dynamic strength behavior of Zr51Ti5NiloCu25A19 bulk metallic glass (BMG) up to 66 GPa was investigated in a series of plate impact shock-release and shock-reload experiments. Particle velocity profiles measured at the sample/LiF window interface were used to estimate the shear stress, shear modulus, and yield stress in shocked BMG. Beyond confirm- ing the previously reported strain-softening of shear stress during the shock loading process for BMGs, it is also shown that the softened Zr-BMG still has a high shear modulus and can support large yield stress when released or reloaded from the shocked state, and both the shear modulus and the yield stress appear as strain-hardening behaviors. The work provides a much clearer picture of the strength behavior of BMGs under shock loading, which is useful to comprehensively understand the plastic deformation mechanisms of BMGs. 展开更多

目的针对常规挤压工艺成形尾翼类构件飞行时翼片径向产生挠曲变形的问题,提出了一种可调控金属流动的径向同步加载成形方法。方法结合ANSYS、Deform-3D有限元模拟和物理实验,分析径向同步加载的金属流动行为、等效应变和金属流线分布,... 目的针对常规挤压工艺成形尾翼类构件飞行时翼片径向产生挠曲变形的问题,提出了一种可调控金属流动的径向同步加载成形方法。方法结合ANSYS、Deform-3D有限元模拟和物理实验,分析径向同步加载的金属流动行为、等效应变和金属流线分布,通过拉伸实验测试成形翼片挤压方向(Extrusion Direction,ED)和横截面方向(Transverse Direction,TD)的力学性能,并通过观察显微组织揭示径向强化机理。结果径向同步加载通过对坯料施加周向压应力促进了金属径向流动,形成了沿径向分布良好的金属流线,有利于提升径向力学性能;采用该工艺试制构件表面质量良好,无宏观缺陷,且形成沿径向分布的宏观流线;翼片径向力学性能显著提升,屈服强度提升了57.8 MPa,抗拉强度提升了80.1 MPa,延伸率提升了1.4%,其强塑性的提升与纤维组织和块状LPSO相的纤维强化密切相关。结论实现了尾翼类构件的径向同步加载整体成形,通过调控金属流动形成径向分布良好的金属流线,提升了成形翼片径向强度,为高性能镁合金尾翼类构件的整体成形提供了理论基础和技术支撑。 展开更多

目的:为了减少矿产资源浪费,提高贫矿的利用率,针对大型金属露天矿多装载点配矿问题,综合考虑矿石剩余量不足、铲装设备数量有限等因素对配装载点选取的影响,以品位偏差最小、生产成本最小、车辆总排队时间最短为目标建立配矿装载点选... 目的:为了减少矿产资源浪费,提高贫矿的利用率,针对大型金属露天矿多装载点配矿问题,综合考虑矿石剩余量不足、铲装设备数量有限等因素对配装载点选取的影响,以品位偏差最小、生产成本最小、车辆总排队时间最短为目标建立配矿装载点选取模型。方法:采用二维矩阵整数编码法,并设计一种基于随机片段交叉与特定变异算子相结合的间接二次遗传优化算法对模型进行求解。结果:以国内某大型金属露天矿实际生产数据为例进行仿真实验,结果表明:所得出的装载点选取方案在受铲装设备数量限制、优先开采矿石剩余量相对较少装载点的条件下,仍能满足配矿计划需求。结论:所提模型、算法能普遍适用于大型金属露天矿山开采,使装载点的矿石得到充分利用。意义:提高了企业的经济效益和矿山整体开采效率。 展开更多

Sodium-treated sepiolite(Na Sep)-supported transition metal catalysts(TM/Na Sep;TM = Cu, Fe, Ni, Mn, and Co) were synthesized via a rotary evaporation method. Physicochemical properties of the as-synthesized samples were characterized by means of various techniques, and their catalytic activities for HCHO(0.2%) oxidation were evaluated. Among the samples, Cu/Na Sep exhibited superior performance, and complete HCHO conversion was achieved at 100 ℃(GHSV = 240000 m L/(g·h)). Additionally, the sample retained good catalytic activity during a 42 h stability test. A number of factors, including elevated acidity, the abundance of oxygen species, and favorable low-temperature reducibility, were responsible for the excellent catalytic activity of Cu/Na Sep. According to the results of the in-situ DRIFTS characterization, the HCHO oxidation mechanism was as follows:(i) HCHO was rapidly decomposed into dioxymethylene(DOM) species on the Cu/Na Sep surface;(ii) DOM was then immediately converted to formate species;(iii) the resultant formate species were further oxidized to carbonates;(iv) the carbonate species were eventually converted to CO2 and H2O. 展开更多

过渡金属和氮掺杂的碳(M-N-C)由于优异的电催化活性以及较低的生产成本,成为铂基催化剂的替代。然而,目前的M-N-C催化剂通常涉及金属盐、含氮物质和碳载体的结合,在经过热处理和酸洗过程后得到的催化剂在活性位点密度和传质能力上性能... 过渡金属和氮掺杂的碳(M-N-C)由于优异的电催化活性以及较低的生产成本,成为铂基催化剂的替代。然而,目前的M-N-C催化剂通常涉及金属盐、含氮物质和碳载体的结合,在经过热处理和酸洗过程后得到的催化剂在活性位点密度和传质能力上性能不足。采用分步负载金属法制备了Fe、Co双金属掺杂的M-N-C催化剂。利用Zn2+和Co2+的竞争效应,成功合成了小尺寸且均匀的Zn-Co-ZIFs双金属沸石咪唑骨架。随后,在不形成金属团簇的前提下将最大量的Fe原子嵌入C-Zn-Co-ZIFs-H+前体结构中,使其在热解后能产生大量的FeCo—Nx活性位点。这种改进显著增加了FeCo-N-C-2催化剂中Fe活性位点的含量(1.9%,质量分数),并深度优化了其微孔和介孔结构(860 m^(2)·g^(-1))。该催化剂在0.1 mol·L^(-1) HClO_(4)和0.1 mol·L^(-1) KOH溶液中,氧还原反应(ORR)活性展现出了0.806 V和0.921 V的半波电位,并分别在50000、45000 s恒定电位测试后保持了91.21%和95.32%的活性。将其组装于质子交换膜燃料电池(PEMFCs)和碱性锌-空气液流电池(ZAFBs)中,峰值功率密度分别达到了746、164 mW·cm^(-2),显示出优越的性能。 展开更多
