The details of economic and administrative aspects mentioned in the biography have provided some evidence which may suggest a decisive break for the ruling power from the relatively shifting control during the very early stage of dynastic period to the absolute central governance of both manpower and materials in the Old Kingdom that can also be signified, for instance, by the pyramid building in the 4th Dynasty. This document may therefore mirror the constitution of ancient Egyptian civilization during this transitional time.展开更多

It distinguished from the classically catalyzed BZ oscillating chemical reaction due to there was no active methene (CH2=) and/or enol structure in the ninhydrin molecule, which served as single organic substrate. This suggested that the substrates used in catalyzed BZ reaction were not always the organic compounds containing active methene (CH2=) and/or enol structure and bromination process in this kind of catalyzed chemical oscillating reaction was not also necessary.展开更多

By introducing various hydrophilic groups, such as quaternary ammonium, sulfonate or oligo-ethyleneglycol moieties into the BOD- IPY core, the solubilities of these dyes in aqueous solution can be greatly improved while maintaining their high fluorescence quantum yields. Accordingly, applying these fluorescent dyes in aqueous systems to areas such as chemosensors, biomacromolecule labeling, bio-imaging and photodynamic therapy has been achieved. In this article, the recent progress on the synthesis, optical properties and application dyes and aza-BODIPY dyes of water-soluble BODIPY is reviewed.展开更多
