The crystallization characteristics and fluidity of five synthetic slags with different MgO/CaO...The crystallization has significant influence on fluidity of slag and slag discharge of entrained-flow-bed(EFB) gasifier. The crystallization characteristics and fluidity of five synthetic slags with different MgO/CaO ratios prepared on the basis of the range of oxide contents of Zhundong coal ash were investigated in this study. The results show that with the MgO/CaO ratio increase, the initial crystallization temperature increases, and the main temperature range of crystallization ratio growth moves to higher temperature range gradually which causes Tp25(Tp25is the temperature corresponding to the viscosity of 25 Pa·s)to increase. Mg-rich crystals are formed preferentially than Ca-rich crystals when adding the same amount of MgO and CaO during cooling. The effective slagging operating temperature range decrease from 217 ℃ for the slag with a 0:4 MgO/CaO ratio to 44 ℃ for the slag with a 4:0 MgO/CaO ratio with the MgO/CaO ratio increase. The slags with 2:2 and 1:3 MgO/CaO ratios show similar effective slagging operating temperature range, Tp25and the temperature corresponding to the viscosity of 2 Pa·s.However, compared with the slag with a 1:3 MgO/CaO ratio, the crystallization ratio and rate of slag with a 2:2 MgO/CaO ratio are lower within lower temperature range(1300–1200 ℃), causing its lower critical viscosity temperature and wider actual operating temperature range. Of the five slags, the widest effective slagging operating temperature range and the lowest Tp25of the slag with a 0:4 MgO/CaO ratio due to its low crystallization ratio, and wider actual operating temperature range of the slag with a 2:2 MgO/CaO ratio make the two slags suitable for slag discharge of EFB gasifier.展开更多

In order to build proper temperature gradient, firstly finite element method (FEM) was used to study the temperature field distributions, and then a temperature controller with adaptive neuro- fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) was developed based on the result of FEM and practical experiences. When the temperature in MgO single crystal furnace was changed, the controller would regulate the positions of three- phase electrodes and the voltage of the power simultaneously. The experimental results indicate that using the adaptive neuro-fuzzy control system can improve the quality and the quantity of the MgO single crystal production.展开更多
According to a uniform and simple method of calculating spin-lattice coupling coefficients and the pert1rbation formulas of gi factors and hyperfine structure constants Ai based on the cluster approach for 3d7 ions in...According to a uniform and simple method of calculating spin-lattice coupling coefficients and the pert1rbation formulas of gi factors and hyperfine structure constants Ai based on the cluster approach for 3d7 ions in cubic,tetragonal and trigonal octahedral crystal fields, the spin-lattice coupling coefficients Fij (F11, Fl2, F44), Zij (Z11, Z12,Z44) and also g factor and hyperfine constant A for MgO:Co2+ are calculated by using the parameters obtained from the optical spectra without adjustable parameters. The calculated results show good agreement with the observed values.The difiiculty in explaining the coeficients Fij and Zij is therefore removed.展开更多
We demonstrate a high power,widely tunable femtosecond MgO-doped periodically poled lithium niobate(MgO:PPLN)optical parametric oscillator(OPO)at 151 MHz,pumped by a Kerr-lens mode-locked Yb:KGW laser.With a maximum p...We demonstrate a high power,widely tunable femtosecond MgO-doped periodically poled lithium niobate(MgO:PPLN)optical parametric oscillator(OPO)at 151 MHz,pumped by a Kerr-lens mode-locked Yb:KGW laser.With a maximum pump power of 7 W,the OPO is capable of delivering as high as 2.2 W of the signal centered around 1500 nm with tunable signal spectrum ranges of 1377 nm-1730 nm at an extraction efficiency of 31.4%,which exhibits a long-term passive power stability better than 0.71%rms over 4 h.The maximum idler bandwidths of 185 nm at 3613 nm are obtained across the idler tuning ranges of 2539 nm-4191 nm.By compensating intracavity dispersion,the signal has the shortest pulse duration of 170 fs at 1428 nm.展开更多
