The main Iimitation to the toughening of the α-Al2O3/Ni composite is the poor bonding atthe interface. which causes the nickel particles to be pulled-out during crack propagation with-out obvious plastic deformation. A proper control of oxygen content at the Al2O3-Ni interfacecan promote wetting at the intedece, and produce a mechanically interlocked and chemically strengthened intedece, causing most of the nickel particles to be stretched to failure and to expe-rience severe plastic deformation during crack propagation in the composite. Fracture toughnesstesting using a modified double cantilever beam method with in situ observation of crack prop-agation in a scanning electron microscope shows that the composite with the strengthenedinterface has a more desirable R-curve behaviour and a higher fracture toughness value than thenormal composite. 展开更多

The 6061 aluminum matrix composites reinforced with ZnO-coated Mg_2B_2O_5w were fabricated by squeeze casting method and followed by extruded under a technical equivalent condition. The mechanical properties and microstructures of the composites were investigated. The results showed that the elastic modulus of the as-cast composites increased straightly with increasing ZnO coating content. The ultimate tensile strength and yield strength of the as-cast composites rapidly increased initially and then declined with increasing ZnO coating content. However, the elongations of all the as-cast composites had similar values. The elongations of the composites were highly enhanced and the ultimate tensile strength of the composite without ZnO coating was the largest after extrusion. A number of whiskers in the composites with ZnO coating were fractured during the extrusion process, but the whiskers' breakage extent was limited with the increase of coating content. 展开更多

采用机械球磨法制备了Mg_(2)Ni-x%LaMg_(2)Ni复合材料(质量分数x=0、10、20和30),研究了LaMg_(2)Ni含量对Mg_(2)Ni基复合材料物相组成、显微形貌和储氢性能的影响。结果表明,未添加LaMg_(2)Ni的Mg_(2)Ni合金在充分氢化后主要由Mg_(2)NiH... 采用机械球磨法制备了Mg_(2)Ni-x%LaMg_(2)Ni复合材料(质量分数x=0、10、20和30),研究了LaMg_(2)Ni含量对Mg_(2)Ni基复合材料物相组成、显微形貌和储氢性能的影响。结果表明,未添加LaMg_(2)Ni的Mg_(2)Ni合金在充分氢化后主要由Mg_(2)NiH_(4)和Mg_(2)NiH_(0.3)组成,而添加LaMg_(2)Ni的Mg_(2)Ni基复合材料主要由Mg_(2)NiH_(4)和LaH_(3)组成;充分放氢后,Mg_(2)NiH_(4)和Mg_(2)NiH_(0.3)转变为Mg_(2)Ni,而LaH_(3)相仍然存在。添加LaMg_(2)Ni的Mg_(2)Ni基复合材料中都弥散分布着白亮色LaH_(3)颗粒,x=20时白亮色细小颗粒分布最为均匀,且随着LaMg_(2)Ni含量增加,Mg_(2)Ni基复合材料基体中镧元素含量逐渐增多。不同LaMg_(2)Ni含量的Mg_(2)Ni基复合材料的最大吸氢容量从大至小顺序为:x=0、x=10、x=20、x=30,最大放氢容量从大至小顺序为:x=20、x=10、x=30、x=0,即添加LaMg_(2)Ni后Mg_(2)Ni基复合材料的储氢性能得到改善,且x=20时Mg_(2)Ni基复合材料具有最高的储氢容量,这主要与Mg_(2)Ni基复合材料中含有弥散分布的LaH_(3)相以及La元素扩散至基体有助于氢的吸附/脱附有关。 展开更多
