In today's society,more and more students choose to study abroad.This paper focuses on illustrating that why Chinese students cannot adapt new environment easily from two main aspects which are academic achievement and social experience.In academic achievement section,this paper explains students5 motivations,education background,culture,and language proficiency.Since many Chinese students come to American to obtain higher education,academic achievement is the essential part of this paper.In social experience,there are two aspects:different culture and English problems.

Construction of Chinese Learning Mode for Overseas Students in Higher Vocational Colleges under the Background of the Belt and Road Initiative

With the deepening of exchanges between China and other countries,especially the proposal of the Belt and Road Initiative,more and more foreign students come to China to study,putting forward higher requirements for the education and management of colleges and universities in China.In the process of implementing the strategy of"one belt and one road",language interaction is the basic prerequisite for achieving exchanges and cooperation among different countries.In the face of this situation,by analyzing the existing problems in the training of overseas students in higher vocational colleges in China under the background of"One Belt and One Road"strategy,in this paper,the construction of the Chinese learning mode for overseas students in higher vocational colleges was put forward,hoping to provide help for the training of overseas students and solve the problem of foreign students'language learning.

Cross-cultural Adaptation Analysis and Countermeasures of Overseas Chinese Students——Take University of Lincoln as an Example

This paper is an exploratory,empirical study of the Cross-Cultural Adaptation(CCA)issues of Overseas Chinese Stu⁃dents(OCS)studying at the University of Lincoln.The project identifies OCS own language proficiency,motivation of studying abroad and intercultural adaptation attitudes and strategies as the main influencing factors in students’CCA.Research methods in⁃clude Language class observation,a questionnaire survey and interviews.Additional data collection methods include using network communication tools to conduct interviews with OCS,such as Wechat,QQ,Skype and e-mail etc.Further analysis of its causes makes a meaningful contribution to practical strategies and suggestions on how to better develop and cultivate cross-cultural adapt⁃ability.

A Study on Influence of Students'Intercultural Communication Competence in the Application-oriented University through Short-term Overseas Study Tours

Short-term overseas study tours, as a new type of cross-cultural autonomy education in the era of globalization, aims to help students improve their intercultural communication competence through tourism and cultural learning. Many studies' subjects are concentrated on the higher learning institutions. However, few of them are concerned about application-oriented university students' ICC. So the behavior and role of students' ICC in the overseas study tours in 2016 and 2017 in one of the application-oriented universities in Zhejiang province becomes the main focus. It exams from three aspects: intercultural attitudes, knowledge and behaviors. Basically, students benefit a lot from study tours, especially in the aspect of practical communication, among which, they change from shy, inexperienced learners to be brave, confident, and skilled in the tours. Also, considering the problems of host school are existed, the suggestions proposed by participants that practical courses of destination countries had better be arranged for students to understand and adapt to it beforehand. Besides, more communication and interactions between students and teachers should be increased to create a more active and relaxed classroom atmosphere, which contribute to mobilize students' initiative and enthusiasm to better become a complementary influence to promote students' ICC.

Chinese Overseas Students’Perceptions of the Effectiveness of Their Undergraduate Intercultural Education:A Phenomenological Study

Intercultural language education has attracted much attention in the field of foreign language teaching in China during the past decades,due to the increasing number of intercultural encounters across the world as a result of globalization.However,little is known about the effectiveness of intercultural education at Chinese universities.Adopting a phenomenological research design,this paper serves as a pilot study and sets out to explore the forms of intercultural education at universities and investigate the effectiveness of undergraduate intercultural education from the perspectives of 12 Chinese students.

The Reform Scheme of Practice-Courses Cooperation Training Pattern of Software Engineering Major of Overseas Chinese Universities

How to improve the employment of software engineering graduates, especially, how to effectively enhance the employment competitiveness of relevant overseas students in the context of "One Belt and One Road" is one of the core tasks of overseas Chinese universities. This paper proposes a reform plan for the practical training mode of school-enterprise cooperative project in the software engineering of overseas Chinese universities. The reform plan combines education concepts with practical research and development. It subdivides students and according to the characteristics of different types of students, and is carried out on campus, outside campus(in the province), and abroad(original area), which makes senior undergraduates fully understand the needs of enterprises, constantly improve their professional practice ability, and improve their competitiveness. Thus, the professional innovation and entrepreneurship ability of students is enhanced, and it also reduces the cost of employee entry.

Chinese Students in the United States:A study of Anxiety/Uncertainty Managing Behaviors

With The Anxiety/Uncertainty Management(AUM) Theory as framework,the paper had demonstrated an in-depth examination on Chinese students' anxiety/uncertainty managing behaviors and strategies when they are exposed to the new environment in the US.One-on-one interview was employed to analyze both the internal and external factors during their adaptation to new cultures.Further recommendations would be given for developing intercultural communication studies in Chinese students' oversea education or related other topics.

该文运用图表等形式对近些年来华留学人员的情况进行了总结,发现其数量、地区分布等呈现逐年递增的趋势。通过分析得出,这一状况与我国学术氛围的增强、高等教育的发展进步,以及政府的大力支持有关。同时,通过数据的比较发现,在国际范围内,存在对我国高等教育发展的认识不均衡的现象,这对高校等相关部门提出了新的要求。

五四时期湖南青年赴法勤工俭学及建党活动——以湖南第一师范学校赴法学生为考察主体

五四时期,以蔡和森、向警予、李维汉、李立三、罗学瓒、张昆弟、李富春、蔡畅、萧三为代表的湖南青年,怀抱“改造中国与世界”的志向,引导了留法勤工俭学运动向俄国十月社会主义革命的方向发展。其中,蔡和森是最早提议建党并取名“中国共产党”的人,并建议新民学会在法国的分支“工学世界社”更名“少年共产党”。正因为有蔡和森等湖南青年在海外从事建党实践,毛泽东评价他们与国内建党的创始人一样,都是中国共产党早期组织在海外的创始人。

高校来华留学生审美教育路径探析

随着中国国际影响力不断提升,来华留学生日益增多,为让来华留学生深入了解和体验中华文化,我国高校重视对其审美素养的培养。文本基于文化融合的视角,总结了高校来华留学生中国式审美教育培养的价值内涵、存在的问题及有效措施,并提出审美素养提升的实践路径,构建来华留学生审美素养培养的生存逻辑,形成对中华优秀传统文化的价值转化。

医学留学生“寄生虫学”一流课程建设探索

一流课程是建设“双一流”大学的基石。2019年教育部启动“双万计划”,提出一流课程建设的评价体系,各个高校开展了一流课程建设的高潮。本研究结合留学生医学寄生虫学教学的现状及其专业特点,分析和探讨了西安交通大学建设留学生医学寄生虫学一流课程的目标和方法,通过师资队伍建设、英文教材建设、教学方法提升和评价体系改革等措施,以期提高留学生教学质量、树立良好品牌形象,为西安交通大学的“双一流”建设做出贡献。

课程思政融入留学生中医脾胃病教学的研究与实践

目的 将课程思政融入留学生中医脾胃病教学与实践,并对其实施评价。方法 选择2022年1—10月北京中医药大学51名2020级本科留学生为教学对象,通过深入挖掘中医脾胃病思政点,并应用问卷星对留学生进行思政点兴趣调研,根据调研结果,将课程思政融入留学生中医脾胃病课堂教学之中,最后通过调查问卷了解学生对课程思政满意度,并评价其效果。结果 51名留学生均完成调查,回收有效问卷率100%,教学满意度90.20%,学习积极性满意度94.12%,提高职业素养满意度92.16%;96.08%的学生进行思政教育,66.67%的学生喜好思政素材,88.24%的学生可以提高个人素养。分数排名前7位的思政点分别为:历史人物诸葛亮[(8.17±0.21)分]、半夏泻心汤“排兵布阵”[(8.10±1.03)分]、中国饮食及传统节日[(7.33±0.61)分]、中医内外治法演变[(7.17±0.84)分]、胃镜的发展史[(6.92±1.07)分]、中国太极等体育运动文化[(6.87±0.77)分]、《伤寒论》中的人文关怀[(6.69±0.65)分]。5大思政切入点分数排名如下:中国文化[(7.57±0.34)分]、中西方名人医案[(7.32±0.27)分]、自我修养[(6.33±0.58)分]、生命教育[(6.21±0.44)分]、爱国教育[(5.58±0.36)分]。结论 可以将所挖掘的思政点融入留学生脾胃病教学中,并侧重中国文化等思政元素。思政点融入形式侧重于结合案例及网络教学形式。
