Comparative investigation of microstructure and high-temperature oxidation resistance of high-velocity oxy-fuel sprayed CoNiCrAlY/nano-Al_(2)O_(3) composite coatings using satellited powders 被引量:2

Satellited CoNiCrAlY–Al_(2)O_(3)feedstocks with 2wt%, 4wt%, and 6wt% oxide nanoparticles and pure CoNiCrAlY powder were deposited by the high-velocity oxy fuel process on an Inconel738 superalloy substrate. The oxidation test was performed at 1050℃ for 5, 50, 100,150, 200, and 400 h. The microstructure and phase composition of powders and coatings were characterized by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction, respectively. The bonding strength of the coatings was also evaluated. The results proved that with the increase in the percentage of nanoparticles(from 2wt% to 6wt%), the amount of porosity(from 1vol% to 4.7vol%), unmelted particles, and roughness of the coatings(from 4.8 to 8.8 μm) increased, and the bonding strength decreased from 71 to 48 MPa. The thicknesses of the thermally grown oxide layer of pure and composite coatings(2wt%, 4wt%, and 6wt%) after 400 h oxidation were measured as 6.5, 5.5, 7.6, and 8.1 μm, respectively.The CoNiCrAlY–2wt% Al_(2)O_(3)coating showed the highest oxidation resistance due to the diffusion barrier effect of well-dispersed nanoparticles. The CoNiCrAlY–6wt% Al_(2)O_(3)coating had the lowest oxidation resistance due to its rough surface morphology and porous microstructure. 展开更多

In this manuscript a comparative study on Bi<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>/polystyrene and Bi<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>/PVDF composites has been executed via analysis of structural, bonding, surface morphology and dielectric response of composites for energy storage. The composites have been synthesized using solution cast method by varying concentrations of Bi<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> (BO = 1 - 5 mw%) into polystyrene (PS) and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) polymers respectively. X-ray diffraction confirms the generation of crystallinity, Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy confirms bonding behavior and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) confirms uniform distribution of Bi<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> (BO) in PS and PVDF polymers. Impedance spectroscopy has been employed for determination of dielectric response of the fabricated composites. The dielectric constant has been found to be increased as 1.4 times of pristine PS to BO<sub>5%</sub>PS<sub>95%</sub> composites and 1.8 times of pristine PVDF to BO<sub>5%</sub>PVDF<sub>95%</sub> composites respectively. The oxidation behaviors of Fe26Cr1Mo with and without the Ni La 2O 3 electrodeposited composite film have been investigated by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and a scanning electron microscope equipped with an energy dispersive analytical X ray system(SEM/EDAX). The experimental results show that the oxide scale growing on Fe26Cr1Mo exposed at 900 ℃ spalled severely during cooling, while after the stainless steel was coated with the Ni La 2O 3 electrodeposited composite film, its high temperature cyclic oxidation resistance was significantly improved. The reason is that a La 2O 3 modified NiO scale, which has a superior adhesion to the substrate, was formed on the Fe26Cr1Mo stainless steel coated with Ni La 2O 3 composite film. 展开更多

The result indicates that the mass gain during static oxidation of the material under normal atmosphere follows the parabolic law. Oxide increases with increasing temperature and prolonging time. It has good oxidation resistance. The product of oxidation of the material is TiO2. Therefore, the volume of the material expands. The oxide film is destroyed because residual stress inside the oxide film is released. Proper oxidation is beneficial to the improvement of bending strength of Al2O3-30%TiCN-0.2%Y2O3 composite. SiCp/Al2O3-Al composites were synthesized by means of direct metal oxidation method. The composition and microstructures of the composites were investigated using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and metallurgical microscope. The effects of technical parameters on the properties of the product were analyzed. The results indicate that the composite possesses a dense microstructure, composed of three interpenetrated phases. Of them, SiO2 layer prohibits the powdering of the composites; Mg promotes the wetting and infiltration of the system and Si restricts the interfacial reaction while improving the wetting ability between reinforcement and matrix. 展开更多

Property and Oxidation Behaviours of (Mo,Cr)Si2 + ZrO2 Composite Produced by Pressure-Less Sintering

A composites of (Mo<sub>0.9</sub>Cr<sub>0.1</sub>)Si<sub>2</sub> + 15vol% ZrO<sub>2</sub> was prepared with powder metallurgy and Pressure- Less Sintering (PLS) method, aiming at applications of high temperature structural materials. Mechanical properties of the composites were assessed with hardness, indentation fracture toughness K<sub>c</sub> and K<sub>IC</sub> tested using SEVNB, flexure strength at room temperature and 1200?C, and isothermal oxidation at 1400?C. The results showed that the native silica oxide and molybdenum-oxides on the silicide feedstock surface were significantly reduced in terms of Cr-alloying. (Mo<sub>0.9</sub>Cr<sub>0.1</sub>)Si<sub>2</sub> and its composite also exhibited improved sinterability and grain growth, owing to the presence of (Cr, Mo)<sub>5</sub>Si<sub>3</sub> at grain boundaries. Fracture toughness of the composite was increased by a factor of 1.6 to that in the monolithic silicide. Mechanical property of the composite at high temperature was not affected by Cr addition. However, the high temperature oxidation resistance was greatly improved in the (Mo<sub>0.9</sub>Cr<sub>0.1</sub>)Si<sub>2</sub> + 15vol% ZrO<sub>2</sub> compared with the non Cr-alloyed counterpart. The Cr-alloying effects on the microstructure, fracture behaviour, and high temperature oxidation resistance were discussed. 展开更多

The La2O3/Fe2O3-CeO2 composite oxide catalysts were prepared by coprecipitation method, sol-gel method and hydrothermal method. The effect of preparation methods on structure morphology and photocatalytic properties of La2O3/Fe2O3-CeO2 samples was investigated. The results show that the cubic CeO2 structure can be obtained at 600℃. The rod-shaped sample prepared by coprecipitation method, displays the highest crystalline and the strongest diffraction peak intensity. The spherical sample is acquired from sol-gel method, while the small granular sample prepared by hydrothermal method tends to aggregate. The maximum specific surface area of the sample prepared by coprecipitation method is 76.21 m2/g, the minimum specific area of the sample from sol-gel method is 32.66 m2/g and the maximum pore size is 13.84 nm, while the minimum pore volume and pore size of the sample by hydrothermal method are 0.038 cm3/g and 3.95 nm respectively. The band gap energy of catalyst samples is in the following order: sample-CP < sample-SG < sample-HT. The sample obtained by coprecipitation method has the best catalytic degradation performance for methylene blue. Under the excitation of visible light, the degradation rate was 99.58% at 50 minutes, which was higher than those of sol-gel method and hydrothermal method by 5.58% and 9.54% respectively. The catalytic degradation reaction is a first-order kinetic model: ln (c0/ct) = kt + qe. The maximum k-value of the sample degradation process obtained by coprecipitation method is 0.074 min-1. 展开更多

The main bottleneck against industrial utilization of sodium ion batteries(SIBs)is the lack of high-capacity electrodes to rival those of the benchmark lithium ion batteries(LIBs).Here in this work,we have developed an economical method for in situ fabrication of nanocomposites made of crystalline few-layer graphene sheets loaded with ultrafine SnO_(2)nanocrystals,using short exposure of microwave to xerogel of graphene oxide(GO)and tin tetrachloride containing minute catalyzing dispersoids of chemically reduced GO(RGO).The resultant nanocomposites(SnO_(2)@MWG)enabled significantly quickened redox processes as SIB anode,which led to remarkable full anode-specific capacity reaching 538 mAh g^(−1)at 0.05 A g^(−1)(about 1.45 times of the theoretical capacity of graphite for the LIB),in addition to outstanding rate performance over prolonged charge–discharge cycling.Anodes based on the optimized SnO_(2)@MWG delivered stable performance over 2000 cycles even at a high current density of 5 A g^(−1),and capacity retention of over 70.4%was maintained at a high areal loading of 3.4 mg cm^(−2),highly desirable for high energy density SIBs to rival the current benchmark LIBs. 展开更多

MnOx-CeO2 oxides prepared by complexation-combustion method were used for soot oxidation. The highest conversion rate of soot was obtained on a MnOx-CeO2 oxide prepared under mild acid condition of pH = 4, where the oxidation temperature corresponding to maximum activity was decreased more than 150 ℃ compared with that of un-catalytic soot oxidation. The structure and property of the catalysts were investigated by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and temperature programmed reduction (TPR). The results indicated that there were at least two kinds of Mn species present in MnOx-CeO2 catalysts, i.e. Mn ions within CeO2 lattice and high dispersion MnOx on the surface of CeO2. The presence of Mn ions in the CeO2 lattice improved the oxygen vacancy due to the charge difference, and the CeO2 considerably decreased the reduction temperature of MnOx. The capability to activate oxygen through the oxygen exchange between O2 in gas phase and lattice oxygen species in MnOx-CeO2 oxide contributed to the high catalytic activity for the reaction. 展开更多

A heat-resistant dispersion-strengthening nano-Al_2O_3/Cu composite with highstrength and high electric conductivity was fabricated in a multiplex medium. The internaloxidation product, microstructures and properties of the composite, and the process flow weresystematically studied. It is confirmed that this new technique simplifies the process and improvesthe properties of the composite. X-ray analysis indicates that the alumina particles formed duringinternal oxidation consist of a large mount of gamma-Al_2O_3 and a certain amount of theta-Al_2O_3and alpha-Al_2O_3. TEM observation shows that the obtained gamma-Al_2O_3 nano-particles areuniformly distributed in the copper grains; their mean size and space between particles are 7 runand 30 nm, respectively. The main properties of the composite with 50 percent cold deformation areas follows: the electric conductivity is 51 MS/m (87 percent IACS), sigma_b = 628 MPa, and thehardness is HRB86. After annealing at 1273 K, all or most of the above properties remain, and themicrostructures are still dependent on elongated fiber-form grains. 展开更多

采用改进Hummers法制备氧化石墨烯(GO)和水解法制备的TiO_(2)及溶剂热法制备了还原氧化石墨烯(rGO)和一系列不同浓度的rGO/TiO_(2)纳米复合材料(0、5%、10%、15%、20%质量分数),并对合成产物进行SEM、XRD、XPS、DRS、Raman等表征,研究... 采用改进Hummers法制备氧化石墨烯(GO)和水解法制备的TiO_(2)及溶剂热法制备了还原氧化石墨烯(rGO)和一系列不同浓度的rGO/TiO_(2)纳米复合材料(0、5%、10%、15%、20%质量分数),并对合成产物进行SEM、XRD、XPS、DRS、Raman等表征,研究不同实验条件下纯TiO_(2)和rGO/TiO_(2)复合催化剂对亚甲基蓝染液(MB)的降解效果。结果表明,复合光催化剂中TiO_(2)主要为锐钛矿相,溶剂热合成引入的还原氧化石墨烯(rGO)对TiO_(2)的物相没有产生影响,rGO的引入使得rGO/TiO_(2)吸收带发生一定红移,TiO_(2)禁带宽度由3.23降低至3.09 eV;合成的(15%质量分数)rGO/TiO_(2)具有最佳的光催化效果,光催化活性最高,在100 W高压汞灯照射下70 min对20 mg/L的亚甲基蓝染料的降解率达97.6%;在500 W氙灯光源下照射70 min对20 mg/L亚甲基蓝染料的降解率达到93.2%,(15%质量分数)rGO/TiO_(2)复合光催化剂具有良好的光催化降解性及循环稳定性,5次循环光催化降解后,rGO/TiO_(2)有86.1%的降解效率。表现出了优异的吸附和光催化性能,这可为光催化处理废液提供了一种有效的方法。 展开更多

通过溶剂热法成功制备了一种基于金属有机骨架(MOF)的复合材料Cu-Cu_(2)O/UiO-66-NH_(2),采用傅里叶变换红外光谱(FTIR)、X射线衍射(XRD)、扫描电子显微镜(SEM)、透射电子显微镜(TEM)、X射线光电子能谱(XPS)对材料进行全面表征。在空气... 通过溶剂热法成功制备了一种基于金属有机骨架(MOF)的复合材料Cu-Cu_(2)O/UiO-66-NH_(2),采用傅里叶变换红外光谱(FTIR)、X射线衍射(XRD)、扫描电子显微镜(SEM)、透射电子显微镜(TEM)、X射线光电子能谱(XPS)对材料进行全面表征。在空气作氧化剂条件下,以苯甲醇氧化为苯甲醛作为模型反应,系统地考察了溶剂、温度、催化剂各组分用量等因素对催化效果的影响。研究结果表明,该复合催化剂在醇选择性氧化反应中表现出优异的催化性能,60℃下反应5 h便可将苯甲醇定量转化为苯甲醛,并对其他苄基醇、烯丙基醇和杂芳基醇等底物也展现出良好活性。此外,循环利用3次后,该催化剂活性几乎不变,表明其具有良好的稳定性和重复使用性。 展开更多

不同尺寸单层氧化石墨烯用于膜蒸馏分离H_(2)O/HDO

核电站运行产生的放射性氚化水(HTO)的处理涉及到H_(2)O/HTO分离难题。实验室研究常把无放射性H_(2)O/HDO(氘化水)分离作为研究模型来代替H_(2)O/HTO分离。近年来,基于多层氧化石墨烯(graphene oxide,GO)膜的膜蒸馏分离工艺显示出较好的... 核电站运行产生的放射性氚化水(HTO)的处理涉及到H_(2)O/HTO分离难题。实验室研究常把无放射性H_(2)O/HDO(氘化水)分离作为研究模型来代替H_(2)O/HTO分离。近年来,基于多层氧化石墨烯(graphene oxide,GO)膜的膜蒸馏分离工艺显示出较好的H_(2)O/HDO分离效果,但进一步提高分离性能仍需开发新型膜材料或结构。本工作采用不同横向尺寸单层GO制备聚四氟乙烯(PTFE)支撑的氧化石墨烯复合膜用于研究膜蒸馏分离H_(2)O/HDO:(1)选用两种不同横向尺寸的单层GO研究GO横向尺寸对膜的H_(2)O/HDO分离性能影响,基于横向尺寸较小GO膜的渗透通量和分离因子分别可达0.944 L/(m^(2)·h)和1.043,整体分离性能比基于横向尺寸较大GO膜高;(2)为结合不同横向尺寸单层GO的结构特点,把不同横向尺寸单层GO混合制备复合膜,当两种石墨烯质量比例为1∶1时,所得GO复合膜的渗透通量可达0.806 L/(m^(2)·h),比基于横向尺寸较大GO复合膜的渗透通量高,而两者分离因子相近;(3)对横向尺寸较大GO进行刻蚀处理,可提高膜蒸馏分离H_(2)O/HDO性能。结果表明:单层氧化石墨烯的横向尺寸可影响膜蒸馏分离H_(2)O/HDO性能;基于横向尺寸较小单层氧化石墨烯或混合不同横向尺寸单层氧化石墨烯制备的膜具有较好的膜蒸馏分离H_(2)O/HDO性能;并且刻蚀处理横向尺寸较大GO也可提高膜蒸馏分离H_(2)O/HDO性能。因此,本工作可指导后续发展新型膜材料或膜结构以实现H_(2)O/HDO分离效果更好的膜蒸馏工艺,为含HTO的放射性废水处理问题提供解决方案。 展开更多
