对一种Mo-Ti微合金钢进行了热轧实验,研究了不同工艺条件下的组织特征、析出行为及低温冲击性能。结果表明,随着终轧温度及终冷温度的降低,实验钢的屈服强度和抗拉强度均有所升高;当终轧温度较高时,细小的析出物主要在冷却及模拟卷取过... 对一种Mo-Ti微合金钢进行了热轧实验,研究了不同工艺条件下的组织特征、析出行为及低温冲击性能。结果表明,随着终轧温度及终冷温度的降低,实验钢的屈服强度和抗拉强度均有所升高;当终轧温度较高时,细小的析出物主要在冷却及模拟卷取过程中产生,当终轧温度较低时,细小的析出物主要由应变诱导析出及冷却、模拟卷取过程的析出物组成;实验钢的组织以铁素体为主,随着终轧温度及终冷温度的降低,晶粒尺寸明显细化,同时,组织中渗碳体及钛的碳化物等岛状物的尺寸也变小,大角度晶界比例增加,低温冲击裂纹由脆性断裂变为韧性断裂;当终轧温度为800~810℃,终冷温度分别为615℃和500℃时,实验钢的屈服强度分别为738 MPa及768 MPa,抗拉强度分别为857 MPa和872 MPa,伸长率为18%~19%,其韧脆转变温度低于-70℃,实验钢具有良好的强度及韧性指标。 展开更多

In order to study the effect of element Nb on the microstructure and properties of the biomedical β-type Ti-Mo based alloys,Ti-15Mo-xNb(x=5,10,15 and 20 in %) alloys were investigated.The dry wear resistance of β-type Ti-15Mo-xNb alloys against Gr15 ball was investigated on CJS111A ball-disk wear instrument.Experimental results indicate that crystal structure and morphology of the Ti-15Mo-xNb alloys are sensitive to their Nb contents.Ti-15Mo-xNb alloys match those for β phase peaks and no any phases are found.The Vickers hardness values of all the Ti-15Mo-xNb alloys are higher than HV200.The compression yield strength of the Ti-15Mo-5Nb alloy is the lowest and that of the Ti-15Mo-10Nb alloy is the highest.For all the Ti-15Mo-xNb alloys,the friction coefficient is not constant but takes a higher value.In dry condition,SEM study reveals deep parallel scars on the wear surfaces of all the Ti-15Mo-xNb alloys under different loads.The friction coefficient of the Ti-15Mo-5Nb alloy under 1 N is the lowest.The wear principal mechanism for Ti-15Mo-xNb alloys is adhesive wear. 展开更多

To develop novel β-type biomedical titanium alloys,a series of Ti-15Mo-xNb alloys(x=0,5,10 and 15,mass fraction in%) were designed and prepared by using vacuum arc melting method.The present study focused on the effect of Nb addition on the microstructure,mechanical properties and castability of Ti-15 Mo alloy.Phase analysis and microstructure observation show that all the alloys consist of single β phase and the equiaxed β grain is refined with increasing Nb content.These β-type Ti-15Mo-xNb alloys exhibit good plasticity and rather low compression elastic modulus(in the range of 18.388-19.365 GPa).After Nb addition,the compression yield strength of the alloys increases.With increasing Nb content,the micro-hardness of the alloys decreases.The alloys exhibit obvious fibrous strip microstructure after cold compression deformation.The castability test shows that the castability of the alloys after Nb addition decreases and that of the Ti-15 Mo alloy is the highest(92.01%). 展开更多

As a β stabilizing element in Ti-based alloys,the effect of Mo on phase constitution,microstructure,mechanical and shape memory properties was investigated.Different compositions of Ti-xMo-3Sn alloys(where x=2,4,6,at.%) were prepared by arc melting.A binary composition of Ti-6 Mo alloy was also prepared for comparison.Ti-xMo-3Sn alloys show low hardness and high ductility with 90% reduction in thickness while Ti-6 Mo alloy shows high hardness,brittle behavior,and poor ductility.Field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM) reveals round morphology of athermal ω(ωath) precipitates.The presence of ωath phase is also confirmed by X-ray diffraction(XRD)in both as-cast and solution-treated and quenched conditions.The optical microscopy(OM) and FESEM show that the amount of martensite forming during quenching decreases with an increase in Mo content,which is also due to β→ω transformation.The hardness trends reinforce the presence of ωath too.The shape memory effect(SME) of 9% is the highest for Ti-6 Mo-3Sn alloy.The SME is trivial due to ωath phase formation;however,the increase in SME is observed with an increase in Mo content,which is due to the reverse transformation from ωath and the stress-induced martensitic transformation.In addition,a new and very simple method was designed and used for shape memory effect measurement. 展开更多

Plasma thermal spraying ofSi coating layer ontitanium-zirconium-molybdenum (Ti-Zr-Mo),TZM alloy,was conducted for the surface protection of the Mo substrate that is unstable in air at high temperatures. Although the plasma thermal spraying alone could protect the Mo alloy from oxidation at a high temperature for a short time, the post laser surface melting process further improved the oxidation resistance of Si-coated alloy. In the case of the post laser treated specimen,MoSi compounds, mainly MoSi2 phases, were formed during the additional annealing process, and the oxidation resistance could be even further enhanced. The corrosion behaviors of Si-coated specimens in 3.5%NaCl solution were also investigated;however,nosignificant variations with respect to the post treatment procedure were found. 展开更多
