Using a random mobility model, this paper derives the probability equation of the relative distance (RDIS) between any two mobile hosts in an ad-hoc network. Consequently, combining with average equivalent hop distance (AEHD), a host can estimate the routing hops between itself and any destination host each time the RD/RR procedure is triggered, and reduce the flooding area of RD/RR messages. Simulation results show that this optimized route repair (ORR) algorithm can significantly decrease the communication overhead of RR process by about 35%.展开更多

The Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) are optimal choice to accommodate this growing trend but there is a problem, security is the core issue. MANETs rely on wireless links for communication. Wireless networks are considered more exposed to security attacks as compared to wired networks, especially;MANETs are the soft target due to vulnerable in nature. Lack of infrastructure, open peer to peer connectivity, shared wireless medium, dynamic topology and scalability are the key characteristics of MANETs which make them ideal for security attacks. In this paper, we shall discuss in detail, what does security mean, why MANETs are more susceptible to security attacks than wired networks, taxonomy of network attacks and layer wise analysis of network attacks. Finally, we shall propose solutions to meet the security challenges, according to our framed security criteria.展开更多

Based on tunnel-key-node identification and priority-based route discovery, TKNI can rapidly rebuild the communications that have been blocked by wormhole attack. Compared to previous approaches, the proposed approach aims at both static and dynamic topology environment, involves addressing visible and invisible wormhole attack modes, requires no extra hardware, has a low overhead, and can be easily applied to MANET.
文摘Computation is spanning from PC to Mobile devices. Finally, we shall propose solutions to meet the security challenges, according to our framed security criteria.

文摘Although clustering is a convenient framework to enable traffic control and service support in Mobile Ad hoc NETworks (MANETs), it is seldom adopted in practice due to the additional traffic overhead it leads to for the resource limited ad hoc network. In order to address this problem, we proposed a loop-based approach to combine clustering and routing. By employing loop topologies, topology information is disseminated with a loop instead of a single node, which provides better robustness, and the nature of a loop that there are two paths between each pair of nodes within a loop composed of setup procedure, regular procedure and emergent route recovering. suggests smart route recovery strategy. Our approach is recovery procedure to achieve clustering, routing and
文摘In terms of security and privacy, mobile ad-hoc network(MANET)continues to be in demand for additional debate and development. As more MANET applications become data-oriented,implementing a secure and reliable data transfer protocol becomes a major concern in the architecture. However,MANET’s lack of infrastructure, unpredictable topology, and restricted resources,as well as the lack of a previously permitted trust relationship among connected nodes, contribute to the attack detection burden.A novel detection approach is presented in this paper to classify passive and active black-hole attacks. The proposed approach is based on the dipper throated optimization(DTO)algorithm, which presents a plausible path out of multiple paths for statistics transmission to boost MANETs’quality of service.A group of selected packet features will then be weighed by the DTO-based multi-layer perceptron(DTO-MLP),and these features are collected from nodes using the Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchical(LEACH)clustering technique.MLP is a powerful classifier and the DTO weight optimization method has a significant impact on improving the classification process by strengthening the weights of key features while suppressing the weights ofminor features. This hybridmethod is primarily designed to combat active black-hole assaults.Using the LEACH clustering phase, however, can also detect passive black-hole attacks. The effect of mobility variation on detection error and routing overhead is explored and evaluated using the suggested approach. For diverse mobility situations, the results demonstrate up to 97%detection accuracy and faster execution time.Furthermore, the suggested approach uses an adjustable threshold value to make a correct conclusion regarding whether a node is malicious or benign.
文摘In today's Internet routing infrastructure, designers have addressed scal-ing concerns in routing constrained multiobjective optimization problems examining latency and mobility concerns as a secondary constrain. In tactical Mobile Ad-hoc Network(MANET),hubs can function based on the work plan in various social affairs and the internally connected hubs are almost having the related moving standards where the topology between one and the other are tightly coupled in steady support by considering the touchstone of hubs such as a self-sorted out,self-mending and self-administration.Clustering in the routing process is one of the key aspects to increase MANET performance by coordinat-ing the pathways using multiple criteria and analytics. We present a Group Adaptive Hybrid Routing Algorithm(GAHRA)for gathering portability, which pursues table-driven directing methodology in stable accumulations and on-request steering strategy for versatile situations.Based on this aspect, the research demonstrates an adjustable framework for commuting between the table-driven approach and the on-request approach, with the objectives of enhancing the out-put of MANET routing computation in each hub.Simulation analysis and replication results reveal that the proposed method is promising than a single well-known existing routing approach and is well-suited for sensitive MANET applications.
文摘Link asymmetry in wireless mesh access networks(WMAN)of Mobile ad-hoc Networks(MANETs)is due mesh routers’transmission range. It is depicted as significant research challenges that pose during the design of network protocol in wireless networks.Based on the extensive review,it is noted that the substantial link percentage is symmetric,i.e.,many links are unidirectional. It is identified that the synchronous acknowledgement reliability is higher than the asynchronous message. Therefore, the process of establishing bidirectional link quality through asynchronous beacons underrates the link reliability of asym-metric links. It paves the way to exploit an investigation on asymmetric links to enhance network functions through link estimation. Here,a novel Learning-based Dynamic Tree routing(LDTR)model is proposed to improve network performance and delay. For the evaluation of delay measures, asymmetric link, interference, probability of transmission failure is evaluated. The proportion of energy consumed is used for monitoring energy conditions based on the total energy capacity. This learning model is a productive way for resolving the routing issues over the network model during uncertainty. The asymmetric path is chosen to achieve exploitation and exploration iteratively. The learning-based Dynamic Tree routing model is utilized to resolve the multi-objective routing problem. Here, the simulation is done with MATLAB 2020a simulation environment and path with energy-efficiency and lesser E2E delay is evaluated and compared with existing approaches like the Dyna-Q-network model(DQN),asymmetric MAC model(AMAC),and cooperative asymmetric MAC model(CAMAC)model. The simulation outcomes demonstrate that the anticipated LDTR model attains superior network performance compared to others. The average energy consump-tion is 250 J,packet energy consumption is 6.5 J,PRR is 50 bits/sec,95%PDR,average delay percentage is 20%.
文摘Wireless sensor Mobile ad hoc networks have excellent potential in moving and monitoring disaster area networks on real-time basis. The recent challenges faced in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks(MANETs)include scalability, localization, heterogeneous network,self-organization,and self-sufficient operation. In this background, the current study focuses on specially-designed communication link establishment for high connection stability of wireless mobile sensor networks, especially in disaster area network.Existing protocols focus on location-dependent communications and use networks based on typically-used Internet Protocol(IP)architecture.However,IP-based communications have a few limitations such as inefficient bandwidth utilization, high processing, less transfer speeds, and excessive memory intake. To overcome these challenges, the number of neighbors(Node Density)is minimized and high Mobility Nodes(Node Speed)are avoided. The proposed Geographic Drone Based Route Optimization(GDRO)method reduces the entire overhead to a considerable level in an efficient manner and significantly improves the overall performance by identifying the disaster region. This drone communicates with anchor node periodically and shares the information to it so as to introduce a drone-based disaster network in an area.Geographic routing is a promising approach to enhance the routing efficiency in MANET.This algorithm helps in reaching the anchor(target)node with the help of Geographical Graph-Based Mapping(GGM).Global Positioning System(GPS)is enabled on mobile network of the anchor node which regularly broadcasts its location information that helps in finding the location. In first step, the node searches for local and remote anticipated Expected Transmission Count(ETX),thereby calculating the estimated distance.Received Signal Strength Indicator(RSSI)results are stored in the local memory of the node. Then, the node calculates the least remote anticipated ETX,Link Loss Rate, and information to the new location.Freeway Heuristic algorithm improves the data speed, efficiency and determines the path and optimization problem. In comparison with other models, the proposed method yielded an efficient communication, increased the throughput, and reduced the end-to-end delay, energy consumption and packet loss performance in disaster area networks.
