Five-dimensional teleparallel theory equivalent to general relativity,the axially symmetric solution,energy and spatial momentum

A theory of (4+1)-dimensional gravity is developed on the basis of the teleparallel theory equivalent to general relativity. The fundamental gravitational field variables are the five-dimensional vector fields (pentad), defined globally on a manifold M, and gravity is attributed to the torsion. The Lagrangian density is quadratic in the torsion tensor. We then give the exact five-dimensional solution. The solution is a generalization of the familiar Schwarzschild and Kerr solutions of the four-dimensional teleparallel equivalent of general relativity. We also use the definition of the gravitational energy to calculate the energy and the spatial momentum. 展开更多

Discovering exact,gauge-invariant,local energy–momentum conservation laws for the electromagnetic gyrokinetic system by high-order field theory on heterogeneous manifolds

Gyrokinetic theory is arguably the most important tool for numerical studies of transport physics in magnetized plasmas.However,exact local energy–momentum conservation laws for the electromagnetic gyrokinetic system have not been found despite continuous effort.Without such local conservation laws,energy and momentum can be instantaneously transported across spacetime,which is unphysical and casts doubt on the validity of numerical simulations based on the gyrokinetic theory.The standard Noether procedure for deriving conservation laws from corresponding symmetries does not apply to gyrokinetic systems because the gyrocenters and electromagnetic field reside on different manifolds.To overcome this difficulty,we develop a high-order field theory on heterogeneous manifolds for classical particle-field systems and apply it to derive exact,local conservation laws,in particular the energy–momentum conservation laws,for the electromagnetic gyrokinetic system.A weak Euler–Lagrange(EL)equation is established to replace the standard EL equation for the particles.It is discovered that an induced weak EL current enters the local conservation laws,and it is the new physics captured by the high-order field theory on heterogeneous manifolds.A recently developed gauge-symmetrization method for high-order electromagnetic field theories using the electromagnetic displacement-potential tensor is applied to render the derived energy–momentum conservation laws electromagnetic gauge-invariant. 展开更多

The integrated power and attitude control for a bias momentum attitudecontrol system is investigated. A pair of counter-spinning wheels is used to provide the biasangular momentum and store/ discharge energy for power requirement of the devices on the spacecraft.The roll/yaw motion is controlled by pitch magnetic dipole moment. The torque-based control law ofthe wheels is designed, so that the desired pitch control torque is provided and the operation ofcharging/discharging energy is carried out based on the given power. System singularity in thecontrol law of wheels is fully avoided by keeping the wheels counter-spinning. A power managementscheme using kinetic energy feedback is proposed to keep energy balance, which can avoid wheelsaturation caused by superfluous energy. The minimum moment of inertia of the wheels is limited bythe maximum bias angular momentum and the minimum energy, such constrains are analyzed incombination with the geometrical method. Numerical simulation results are presented to demonstratethe effectiveness of the control scheme. 展开更多

An exact solution of the field equation is given by considering the cosmological model yield a metric potential included with a real number. The relation between the deceleration parameter and Hubble parameter and average scale factor is used in that cosmological model. The effect of the viscosity on the entropy of the universe is utilized by energy momentum tensor with bulk viscous terms in a conservative manner. We obtained a formula for calculating the entropy of the universe in terms of viscosity and used it to compare to the study. Dark energy has been introduced in order to explain the observed acceleration of the expansion of our Universe. It seems to be distributed almost uniformly and it has an essential influence on the present value of the... Dark energy has been introduced in order to explain the observed acceleration of the expansion of our Universe. It seems to be distributed almost uniformly and it has an essential influence on the present value of the Hubble constant which characterizes the rate of this expansion. The Newtonian theory of gravitation is formulated so that the laws of conservation of energy and momentum hold. However, the Universe is designed so that the total amount of energy is slowly, but continually increasing, since its expansion is accelerating. Our examples show that even the Solar System and also our Galaxy imperceptibly expand thanks to dark energy whose origins are tiny antigravity forces. We claim that these forces appear due to the finite speed of gravitational interaction, which causes gravitational aberration effects. We show that effects of dark energy are observable;they are not only globally, but also in local systems. These effects can be measured and are comparable with the present value of the Hubble constant. 展开更多

According to quantum mechanics, the commutation property of the energy Hamiltonian with the momentum operator should give the definite values not only for energy but also for the momentum quantum levels. A difficulty provided by the standing-like boundary conditions of the electron gas is that the Hamiltonian eigenfunctions are different than eigenfunctions of the momentum operator. In results the electron momenta are obtained from the correspondence rule between the classical and quantum mechanics given by Landau and Lifshits. As a consequence the statistics of solutions representing not only the energy values but also the electron momenta should be taken into account. In the Heisenberg picture of quantum mechanics, the momenta are easily obtained because the electron oscillators are there directly considered. In fact, the Hamiltonian entering the Heisenberg method can be defined in two different ways each giving the set of the electron energies known from the Schr?dinger’s approach. 展开更多
