Through investigation and research,this paper analyzes the needs and status quo of medical students’English learning,and makes a correlation analysis between them.This paper uses the strategy of questionnaire survey ...Through investigation and research,this paper analyzes the needs and status quo of medical students’English learning,and makes a correlation analysis between them.This paper uses the strategy of questionnaire survey and take the actual medicalstudents in our country as the survey object,and uses two-dimensional model of Oxford and three-dimensional model of O’Malleyand Chamot statistical method to get the final conclusion.The results show that the high score group students show stronger internallearning motivation,the choice of cognitive strategies shows a strong sense of autonomy and responsibility,while the low score stu-dents mainly show external learning motivation,in the specific learning process,they rely more on mechanical imitation and ignorethe cultivation of creative thinking.展开更多
Lying flat(Tang Ping)is a prevalent way of life in contemporary countries throughout the world.It is an avoidance behavior chosen by individuals in response to limited social resources and ongoing harsh social competi...Lying flat(Tang Ping)is a prevalent way of life in contemporary countries throughout the world.It is an avoidance behavior chosen by individuals in response to limited social resources and ongoing harsh social competition.Previous studies have demonstrated that the phenomena of“lying flat”has a major negative effect on student learning.In order to investigate the impact of educational innovation on the phenomenon of“lying flat”,we will observe students’learning behaviors under the traditional education model and innovative teaching methods in our Bali teaching practice to determine the causes of“lying flat”and the means to improve educational innovation.The study found that“lying flat”is caused not just by students’discontent with their level difference,but also by the conflict between external resources and internal pressure.In addition,educational reforms on three levels,including further stratified education,strengthening teacher education and promoting effective communication between students and teachers,and employing online resources to promote students’interest in learning,can ameliorate the phenomenon of pupils“lying flat”.This study contends that educational innovation can have a positive effect on the phenomena of“lying flat”.展开更多

This research intends to examine the potential factors that influence the motivation-intrinsic or extrinsic-of freshmen in junior middle schools,hoping to find some effective strategies to motivate them to learn and p...This research intends to examine the potential factors that influence the motivation-intrinsic or extrinsic-of freshmen in junior middle schools,hoping to find some effective strategies to motivate them to learn and promote their autonomy in learning English.Data were collected from 204 students randomly selected from an experimental class by using closed-ended questionnaires.The qualitative results were derived from classroom observations and interviews with five primary school teachers and two junior middle school teachers.The findings provide evidence on the factors that might influence students’motivation;meanwhile,intrinsic motivation and autonomy can be boosted with the full-scale implementation of several effective motivational strategies.展开更多
This study set out to explore non-English major postgraduates’use of motivational regulation strategies in English learning.Subjects for this study were 156 Chinese postgraduates studying in a national teacher educat...This study set out to explore non-English major postgraduates’use of motivational regulation strategies in English learning.Subjects for this study were 156 Chinese postgraduates studying in a national teacher education university in central China.A self-reported questionnaire and individual semi-structured interviews were complementarily employed to gather data.The non-English major postgraduates were found to have adopted ten types of strategy to regulate their motivation for learning English,but that these strategies were used infrequently.It was also found that despite the general absence of significant difference,the few that could be ascertained were associated with gender,specialty,and grade.The results suggest a need to provide motivation regulation strategies training,and nurture students’intrinsic English learning motivation through curricular,instructional and assessment reforms.展开更多
