An Overview of Folding Techniques in Architecture Design

In recent years, folding techniques are widely used by many architects to make 3D forms from 2D sheets as an inspiration for their design, which enables simpler and more intuitive solutions for architectural realization. This research provides an overview of using folding techniques in architecture design, with an emphasis on their new applications. In this overview, we classify folding techniques as computation geometry folding techniques and manual folding techniques. Finally, we provide recommendations for future development.

Landscape Architecture Design in China under the Influence of Postmodernism

Based on interpretation of post-modernism, basic design techniques of landscape architecture in China under the influence of post-modernism were summarized through analyzing its influence and comparing domestic and overseas scholars' understanding of post-modern landscape architecture. The study aims at providing scientific references for the future theoretical and practical researches on the design of post-modern landscape architecture in China.

Design Concept of Drama Stage-style Architecture

Homology of drama and architecture in the early development stage decides the close relationship between both,drama stage design and architectural structural design always apply different approaches but achieve equally satisfactory results.Stage layout and structural design often use architectural symbols,and application of architectural symbols in drama is a common approach of stage art design.But the designer of Jiuzhai Paradise International Conference and Resort Center-the project won Lu Ban Award did exactly the opposite by taking drama elements such as time,figures,location and plot to the "stage" of architecture,and telling visitors a story between traditional Tibetan,Qiang culture and primitive forest life over one thousand years,he indeed created a unique classic architecture using the concept of drama stage design.

Architecture Design Research Based on the Concept of Ecological

With the continuous development of industry and the progress of science and technology, energy resources consumption becomes increasingly serious. Under the sustainable development of environment, energy saving, environmental protection requirements improve continuously. As an energy-intensive industry occupying one third of the total energy consumption, the construction industry’s energy consumption problem becomes increasingly serious. In order to promote human ecological balance and sustainable development of society, combining the ecological concept into the architectural design is imminent. The so-called ecological architecture is based on the nature, guided by sustainable development, and combines the ecological theory into the architecture. This paper briefl y introduces the ecological architecture, discusses the application of ecological ideas in architectural design and its design principle, which plays an important role in the ecological construction’s integrating in architectural design.

Study on Teaching Practice of the "Site Design" Course

"Site Design" is a very important basic course of architecture, covers all design except building monomer design, and is an important course related to the organic integration of architecture and surrounding environment. At present, some problems in teaching of the site design are as below: contradiction between teaching content and arrangement of teaching time, separation of theory teaching from design practice, and teaching methods not integrating with the latest design software. For these teaching issues, some reform measures are put forward for the teaching of "Site Design", such as adjusting teaching syllabus, teaching content, arrangement of teaching time, teaching method and teaching means. We hope to develop students holistic thinking in site design and the holistic design concept of site design and architectural design.

A Notation to Support Exploring Collaboration in Design Teams

Collaboration in large projects is a major challenge for contemporary architectural practice and this paper presents a notation for describing and analyzing how these collaborations can take place.Based on an extensive literature review some opportunities were found for the development of a notation that combined three particular aspects:network diagrams,Euler diagrams and a model from architectural design.An exploratory case study was conducted based on the collaboration during a complex architectural project,which combined three approaches:document analysis,semi-structured interviews with key stakeholders and a comparison of the documents with results from the interviews.The notation demonstrated to be suitable for two purposes:to improve the understanding of particular design events and as support material for presenting and exploring collaborations.Results indicate that the notation was suitable,comprehensible and flexible,and it demonstrated good value when used in speculative ways,such as an intermediary design artifact that supports discussion and improvements in the collaboration process,which indicates promising future directions.It can also be argued that,similar to a sketch,the notation can also support the process of planning and“designing”the interaction between teams in design fields and even in other project-based organizations.

Evaluation of Large-Scale Housing Projects in Terms of Their Compatibility to Criteria of Environmental Design

The design and execution of large-scale housing projects always have negative environmental impacts in terms of excessive consumption of non-renewable energy resources and environmental pollution. These negative impacts are multiplied in the case of large-scale housing projects where a large number of standardized units are implemented in a repeated manner. This proposed paper will study and evaluate the environmental impacts of large-scale housing projects according to criteria of environmental design. The case study project is Haram City that is a housing project for small low-income families. The project consists of 50,000 housing units and is located in 6th of October City, which has a hot dry desert climate that necessitates special design considerations and applications of environmental design concepts. The project will be analyzed and evaluated in terms of site layout, design of buildings, orientation, materials used, construction techniques, thermal behavior, landscaping, etc.

高校富媒体在线考试的体系结构与全流程设计

针对传统在线考试的灵活性和智能化程度不足的问题,把富媒体理念引入高校在线考试过程,可以在简答、计算和综合等题型中插入图片、视频和声音等,提出采用深度学习的智能阅卷模块和基于动作分析的智能监考模块,保证在线考试的易于交互、高效监考和智能阅卷效果。在分析在线考试需求的基础上,构建了富媒体在线考试的体系结构与功能模型,开展了富媒体在线考试的全流程设计,为基于云计算的富媒体在线考试系统的开发与完善,提供了概念模型与数据模型的支持。智能测评云平台的应用案例证明了所提出富媒体在线考试模型的有效性。

考虑地域建筑特色偏好的城市主题公园景观规划设计

城市主题公园作为传承和促进城市文化发展的载体,其规划设计非常重要。基于当前城市主题公园景观规划设计中存在的不足,文章在考虑地域建筑特色偏好的基础上提出城市主题公园景观规划设计方法,并进行仿真实验。实验结果表明:该方法提取城市建筑屋顶轮廓较为精准,规划设计城市主题公园驳岸视线、指标以及防洪涝灾害效果均较好,具备较强的城市主题公园景观规划设计能力。

山东青州偶园景象与理法研究

【目的】偶园为清初大学士冯溥在山东青州所建私园,现园林南部保存较好,具有重要的研究价值。结合数字测绘技术,进一步发掘偶园的景象与理法内涵,以丰富历史认识、支撑遗产保护、助益设计实践、反思研究方法。【方法】运用三维激光扫描和近景摄影测量等技术对偶园遗产进行全面测绘,建立数字遗产档案。以测绘成果和史料文献为基础,运用文献实例互证、景观视觉分析、图像和文本精读的方法,对偶园现存遗产展开研究。【结果】深入解读了偶园的空间景象、分析了其造园理法和设计智慧,并重新审视和总结偶园的遗产价值。【结论】偶园较完整真实地保留了清初时期景象,是该时期园林的珍贵实例;其不仅鲜明反映了山子张造园风格,还呈现出张氏风格与地方特点巧妙结合,景象精彩、理法高妙,堪称明末清初这一中国造园黄金时代的上乘作品和重要遗产。

基于CDIO模式的地方高校建筑设计系列课程教学改革与实践

随着时代的更迭和社会的发展,建筑学专业迎来了新的机遇和挑战。立足社会发展对应用型人才的需求,各地方高校对建筑设计系列课程教学进行深入改革。结合地方高校实况,引入CDIO教育理念,运用文献梳理、案例分析、归纳总结等研究方法,从构思、设计、实施、运行四个方面出发对实践教学体系进行重构,将课程体系、应用型特色平台、教学模式和教学评价体系进行改革,从而达到培养出高素质复合型人才的教育目标,为新形势下地方高校建筑设计系列课程实践改革提供路径。

济南轨道交通1号线“儒风素语”建筑设计概念

[目的]现代城市轨道交通工程的文化属性和建筑景观逐步成为人们关注的重点,其建筑设计对城市社会发展和地域文化展现具有重要意义。[方法]以济南轨道交通1号线工程建筑设计为研究对象,创新提出了“儒风素语”建筑设计概念,并贯穿全线建筑、结构、装修等方面;创建了结构侧立面外倾10°的高架车站鱼腹岛式造型,提升路中高架车站景观效果。[结果及结论]高架车站建筑景观采用“一站一景,和而不同”的设计方法,在地面幕墙、室内文化墙、屋顶天窗等装饰装修中结合站点周边环境及文化属性进行特色设计;高架区间桥梁采用圆型墩柱+宝石型盖梁+预制U型梁结构造型,与高架车站建筑景观融合呼应,浑然天成;地下车站装修设计采用“融合文化,传承经典”的设计方法,融合站点周边地域文化打造主题车站;车站结构施工运用清水混凝土建造技术,实现了现代建造工艺与建筑结构、装饰美学、文化艺术的融合统一,塑造素雅朴质、自然稳重的建筑韵味,彰显儒家文化的积淀与传承。研究成果为城市轨道交通建筑设计创新及发展提供了借鉴思路与指导。

互动理念下的山体公园景观设施设计研究——以青岛市李村公园为例

文章从互动理念出发,研究优化景观设施互动性方法。目的:丰富居民日常互动生活,促进山体社区公园成为居民日常休闲、娱乐,增进居民感情的重要场所。方法:对青岛市李村公园进行实地观察与调查问卷的发放。结果:整理总结居民对景观设施的满意度,发掘居民对景观设施互动性的诉求以及现有景观设施互动性使用方面的不足。结论:从景观设施基础材料互动体验、景观设施复合化互动体验、景观设施环境融合互动体验、景观设施智能化互动体验4个维度作为互动性的切入点,提出提升景观设施互动性的设计策略,以满足居民的互动性需求,使山体社区公园成为居民日常社交以及情感交流的重要载体。
