The unsupervised multi-modal image translation is an emerging domain of computer vision whose goal is to transform an image from the source domain into many diverse styles in the target domain.However,the multi-generator mechanism is employed among the advanced approaches available to model different domain mappings,which results in inefficient training of neural networks and pattern collapse,leading to inefficient generation of image diversity.To address this issue,this paper introduces a multi-modal unsupervised image translation framework that uses a generator to perform multi-modal image translation.Specifically,firstly,the domain code is introduced in this paper to explicitly control the different generation tasks.Secondly,this paper brings in the squeeze-and-excitation(SE)mechanism and feature attention(FA)module.Finally,the model integrates multiple optimization objectives to ensure efficient multi-modal translation.This paper performs qualitative and quantitative experiments on multiple non-paired benchmark image translation datasets while demonstrating the benefits of the proposed method over existing technologies.Overall,experimental results have shown that the proposed method is versatile and scalable. 展开更多

Multi-modal fusion technology gradually become a fundamental task in many fields,such as autonomous driving,smart healthcare,sentiment analysis,and human-computer interaction.It is rapidly becoming the dominant research due to its powerful perception and judgment capabilities.Under complex scenes,multi-modal fusion technology utilizes the complementary characteristics of multiple data streams to fuse different data types and achieve more accurate predictions.However,achieving outstanding performance is challenging because of equipment performance limitations,missing information,and data noise.This paper comprehensively reviews existing methods based onmulti-modal fusion techniques and completes a detailed and in-depth analysis.According to the data fusion stage,multi-modal fusion has four primary methods:early fusion,deep fusion,late fusion,and hybrid fusion.The paper surveys the three majormulti-modal fusion technologies that can significantly enhance the effect of data fusion and further explore the applications of multi-modal fusion technology in various fields.Finally,it discusses the challenges and explores potential research opportunities.Multi-modal tasks still need intensive study because of data heterogeneity and quality.Preserving complementary information and eliminating redundant information between modalities is critical in multi-modal technology.Invalid data fusion methods may introduce extra noise and lead to worse results.This paper provides a comprehensive and detailed summary in response to these challenges. 展开更多

If the usual method working well in a single-mode laser system is applied to a multi-mode laser system, the memory effect of the two nearest digits can cause high rate of mistakes when the digits are decoded through the subtraction of receiver output from the transmittal. By introducing the deviations of two nearest maximum and minimum fluctuationsof the signal to decode the digit, the message can be decoded correctly. Also, this communication method does not critically depend on the quality of the chaotic synchronization of the two multi-mode lasers. 展开更多

According to the analysis of the speci? c case, we discussed the basics of film and television drama translation. In recent years, foreign film and television works more and more popular in China, Subtitling received more attention. Filmography is an important medium for intercultural communication that subtitling has a very important role in cross-cultural communication. By analyzing the subtitle translation of particularity, we propose the appropriate translation approach. News translation is an interlingual intercultural communication activities and news translation there are a lot of cultural barriers that improper handling will seriously affect the effect of news media, and even misleading. The Renditions Series serves as a classical case of providing aneffective model of “literature’s overseas distribution”. The successful experience of itstranslating-cum-disseminating model can be concluded as follows: all the translatorsare from China and overseas with cross-cultural background; the selection oftranslation is stylistically far-ranging among the Mainland, Taiwan and Hong Kong,and feminine literature in modern China is highly valued; translating method aims atconvoying the original literary aesthetics, and disseminating channels are manifold;the foreign recipients are common and professional readers; the eminent effects canbe proved by its considerable sales, library collections and acceptance in the targetcountries and regions. Through translations of idioms, we can easily find the integration and differences between English and Chinese idioms. In the process of translating, translators have to be acutely aware of not only the language differences, but also the associations and differences between the cultural background of two languages. By studying bilingual material after the translation is completed, re-comprehension of different cultures and their features can be acquired and it can feed back to our translation missions and foreign exchange activities. The translators should consider the cultural meaning of the place-names and convey the cultural meaning accurately to the foreigners. This paper is based on some cases that have been searched, illustrating the translation of place-names on allusion-oriented from the perspective of cross-cultural communication consciousness and the strategy of foreignization. It also analyzes the basic guiding principl strategies and specific translation methods on the translation of Chinese place-names, as well as the scope es, of various translation methods, such as literal translation, free translation, combination of both of them, and proposes the guiding principles of this kind of translation which should be "literal translation-headed, proper free translation, and appropriate interpretation". Accurate and adequate translation of web pages can enhance the enterprises' competitiveness. This paper focuses on the features of Chinese and Western web pages of garment enterprises and the translation strategy with the guidance of mass communication theory. Results illustrate that Chinese texts favor symmetrical phrases rich in cultural connotation, whereas English texts prefer plain language with fewer culture-loaded expressions and the latter focuses more on the feeling of audiences.
