A secure communication mechanism is necessary in the applications of Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks (WMSNs), which is more vulnerable to security attacks due to the presence of multimedia data. Additionally, given the limited technological resources (in term of energy, computation, bandwidth, and storage) of sensor nodes, security and privacy policies have to be combined with energy-aware algorithms and distributed processing of multimedia contents in WMSNs. To solve these problems in this paper, an energy efficient distributed steganography scheme, which combines steganography technique with the concept of distributed computing, is proposed for secure communication in WMSNs. The simulation results show that the proposed method can achieve considerable energy efficiency while assuring the communication security simultaneously. 展开更多

Recent advances in wireless mobile computing, digital library, and distributed multimedia technologies are stimulating the development of mobile multimedia digital library systems ( M2DLS) that allow mobile clients to access multimedia material anywhere and anytime over a cellular radio network. This paper addresses the problem of providing synchronized multimedia retrieval in these sys- tems. An efficient inter-media synchronization scheme called wireless prioritized feedback (WPF) for mobile multimedia on-demand retrieval in digital library systems over CDMA cellular radio networks in the absence of synchronized clocks is presented. In the WPF scheme, base stations use preferential lightweight message called feedback units transmitted by mobile mediaphones to detect and correct asynchronies. In the large-scale Distributed Virtual Environment(DVE)multimedia systems,one of key challenges is to distributedly preserve causal order delivery of messages in real time.Most of the existing causal order control approaches with real-time constraints use vector time as causal control information which is closely coupled with system scales.As the scale expands,each message is attached a large amount of control information that introduces too much network transmission overhead to maintain the real-time causal order delivery.In this article,a novel Lightweight Real-Time Causal Order(LRTCO)algorithm is proposed for large-scale DVE multimedia systems.LRTCO predicts and compares the network transmission times of messages so as to select the proper causal control information of which the amount is dynamically adapted to the network latency variations and unconcerned with system scales.The control information in LRTCO is effective to preserve causal order delivery of messages and lightweight to maintain the real-time property of DVE systems.Experimental results demonstrate that LRTCO costs low transmission overhead and communication bandwidth,reduces causal order violations efficiently,and improves the scalability of DVE systems. 展开更多

The proposed algorithm is fully distributed,and supports the dynamic reorganizing of the multicast tree in response to changes for the destination. Simulations demonstrate that our algorithm is better in terms of tree delay and routing success ratio as compared with other existing algorithms,and performs excellently in delay variation performance under lower time complexity,which ensures it to support the requirements of real-time multimedia communications more effectively. 展开更多

为探讨汞在兰州市多介质环境中的分布特征及成因,用金砂吸附及AMA254高级测汞仪测定了兰州市不同功能区大气、土壤和水体三介质中的总汞含量。结果表明,兰州市大气总汞浓度年平均值为28.62ng·m-3,其中采暖期为48.48ng·m-3,非... 为探讨汞在兰州市多介质环境中的分布特征及成因,用金砂吸附及AMA254高级测汞仪测定了兰州市不同功能区大气、土壤和水体三介质中的总汞含量。结果表明,兰州市大气总汞浓度年平均值为28.62ng·m-3,其中采暖期为48.48ng·m-3,非采暖期为9.42ng·m-3;兰州市土壤剖面汞含量的差异较大,表层汞含量高,最高峰值0.117mg·kg-1,向下逐渐减少到土壤背景值;兰州市黄河水体中总汞浓度夏季高于冬季,夏季水体中汞以溶解态为主,冬季以颗粒态为主。由以上结果初步推论兰州市大气汞浓度显著受到人为活动的影响,且工业污染源和生活污染源均对大气汞浓度有所贡献;土壤和大气汞浓度未达到污染水平;兰州市黄河水体中汞浓度绝大部分超过《地面水环境质量标准》的Ⅲ类标准值。 展开更多
