For this study, a total of 92 waters samples were taken and this included 67 wells, 21 pumps and 4 surface waters. Some groundwater has 6180 and 62H values close to those of the city of N'djamena and/or the Chad river rains. However, all sampled points are below the Global Meteoric Water Line reflecting their evaporated characters. The interpretation of the isotopic tracers highlights that the recharge of the analyzed ground waters may result from two major mechanisms: (1) direct infiltration of local precipitation; (2) lateral inflow of river waters. The upper aquifer is the most vulnerable to pollution, especially during the recharge period. This pollution is due to the leaching of soils during the rainy season and the rise of the groundwater level which accompanies the overflowing of the Chad and causes the leaching of the polluted horizons of the unsaturated zone. In contrast, the lower aquifer has acceptable concentrations of solutes.展开更多

The addition of TATA can lead to the formation ofβ-crystal PP. With the increase in TATA concentration the degree of crystallinity for β-crystal PP increased significantly, and that for a-crystal PP decreased, which indicated that TATA effectively induced the formation of β-crystal PP. WAXD also revealed the existence of β-crystal PP after the introduction of TATA into PP. PP containing TATA crystallized at a temperature range of 5-10℃ higher than that of pure PP, and the half-crystallization time (t1/2) and Avrami exponent (n) of PP at the same cooling rate were decreased by the addition of TATA, indicating that TATA influenced the crystallization rate and crystallization growth mode of PP. The rate constant of crystallization of PP containing TATA (Zc) was larger than that of pure PP, which further indicated that the crystallization of PP was accelerated by the addition of TATA.展开更多

At the multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWNT) modified electrode, the electrochemical behavior of UPT enhanced greatly. In the presence of bovine serum albumin (BSA), the peak currents of UPT decreased linearly due to the formation of a super-molecular complex. This method was successfully applied to the determination of BSA in a bovine serum sample.展开更多

This region is of major socio-economic interest for the Country. The climatological study of this region shows the variability of each parameter. The objective of this study was to analyze meteorological parameters trends and to assess the space-time evolution of some agro-climatic risks related to the main trends observed in the meteorological parameters regime of this region. In this study, programming tools were used for processing and analyzing meteorological parameters data, including temperatures, rains, wind, evaporation and storms measured in this observatory from 1931 to 2014. The interannual, annual and daily variations of these parameters were obtained, as well as temperature, precipitation anomalies and agroclimatic indexes trends. The analyzing of these variations explained that September is the rainiest months, and the year 1932, 1957 and 1970 are normal, rainy and dry year, respectively. The evaporation increased since 1971 from January to March and November to December. A positive temperature anomaly was observed since 1973 with the maximum 26-33 ℃ and the minimum 16-21 ℃. A dominant westerly wind with a speed of 2.6 m/s was determined. Agro-climatic parameters in N'zerekore have high variability. From 1931 to 2014, three major periods can be distinguished: a wet period from 1931 to 1977, a dry period from 1978 to 1994 and rainfall variability from 1995 to 2014. The trend of these parameters explains the impact of climate change in this part of the world. This is exacerbated by human activity (deforestation), thus mitigation measures are necessary. It would be useful to extend this study throughout the country.展开更多
