On the Translation Strategies of Characters’Nicknames-Taking The Iconography of the Decorated Writing-Paper of the Ten Bamboo Studio as an Example

Up to now,The Iconography of the Decorated Writing-Paper of the Ten Bamboo Studio(shortened as Iconography)is the first large-scale book to systematically study and interpret the notes and pictures of The Decorated Writing-Paper of the Ten Bamboo Studio(shortened as Ten Bamboo).The Iconography explains the sources and interpretations of 123 paintings in 15 groups.The content covers the celebrities and historical allusions of Tessa in the past dynasties,in which there are many nicknames that are full of Chinese characteristics.This paper takes the English translation of characters’nicknames in Iconography as the research object.Through the research,it is found that the translation of these characters’nicknames mainly adopts the methods of transliteration,explanation,literal translation with annotations and free translation.Through the analysis of specific cases,this paper tries to make the translation meet the reading expectation of the target readers to the maximum extent,and provide reference for the English translation of related classical works.

The Evaluation of Social Sharing Nets Users’ Fundamental Principals According to Nickname Usage and Time Spent

This work;It was made to determine the positive and negative usage information, attitudes and behaviors of social networking networks for users. Today, it is well known how the wide social effects of social networking sites are widespread and effective. As far as it can be followed from written and visual media, it causes significant damages for attitudes and behaviors for individuals. Looking at the results of the study, it seems impossible to limit the time and necessity of these networks for people, but it is understood that people force their limits and capacity. It was determined that the general acceptance and rejection areas are mixed and the dominant distinctive effects were weakened. Unable to prevent social dissolution and deterioration was realized by these social networks of networks. However, we cannot only talk about negative effects because their positive effects should be mentioned. Data were obtained in this direction. For example, some segments encourage the users of these sites to have more freedom, to develop democracy and human rights awareness. However, the real problem is when and where to stand. This study;Social networking networks use information, attitudes and behaviors;It was carried out for the purpose of evaluating the use of nicknames and networks for the use of networks. The data of the study were obtained by the application of a questionnaire and the data obtained were analyzed with appropriate statistical analysis methods. In the first part of the study, field study/operational concept scanning is performed and theoretical information is included. In the second part, the purpose of the study, the problem status, the importance of the study, limitations, assumptions, problem question, research method, research universe and sample are specified and informed. In the third section, the data obtained using appropriate statistical methods are analyzed. In the last section, some important suggestions and comments are made in the light of the data obtained.

Application of Nicknames Among llami Kurdish Students, West of Iran

The present study was an attempt made to explore the nature of utilizing nicknames, as an insufficiently researched area, in the context of Ilami Kurdish highschools. To realize this purpose, randomly as many as 200 male and female highschool students from both state and non-state schools were asked to participate in the survey by filling in the forms given to them. The elicited nicknames were those commonly used by students in their own mother tongue, that is Ilami Kurdish and not in Persian, as the formal language of people across lran. The data gathered were then analyzed using descriptive statistics. The findings revealed that physical characteristics, both for male and female students, accounted for the greatest category based on which nicknames were shaped among highschool students. Moreover, the most nicknames applied by llami Kurdish highschool students were found to be neutrally evaluated followed by positive and negative evaluation, respectively. Finally, statistical computation done by SPSS package demonstrated that gender did not act as a significant variable in this inquiry.

Spanish Last Names in the Naples Periphery

The purpose of this study is to shed light on the southern part of Italy where Catalonians ruled. Great numbers of Spaniards, principally the Catalonians, headed to that country. This affected the language, and, in turn, the history of people＇s last names. At first, some of the Spanish last names were used as nicknames for Italians. The method 1 used to get the data from primary sources was from spending time in Italy for four consecutive summers and visiting towns in the Naples area while I collected surnames found on houses. The Catalonians came to rule Sardinia, and their language and subsequently Spanish were official on the island. The linguistic influence of Spanish does not stop with surnames. A list of Spanish and Basque surnames which is redolent of the history of southern Italy and Sicily is appended. The geolinguistics interest lies in the way that the study of language, both ordinary words and proper nouns, offers important clues to the lives and movements of people of ages past, reflects political and economic aspects and also explains the ethnic origin of people who live in Sicily and Italy today or are descendants of Italians who have been important immigrants in the Americas, in Australia, and indeed around the world.
