The American writer Brenda Novak constructs a fascinating story structure with fluent narrations in her psychological suspense fiction Hanover House which has well-balanced tension and relaxation, and she reveals the multi-level psychological reality of people. The psychopathic features and analysis of behavior are the important parts of the fiction, which shows Brenda's unique style characteristics. The complex situation and lonely feelings of people have a great effect on readers, while the readers' experience is just like an adventure that cannot stop, which is approaching the truth of human nature step by step. In addition, the main clues of the fiction are clear with a strong sense of picture, but because of the limited space, the writing of characters' feelings and social networks is limited, refined and not redundant. 展开更多

Narrative Visualisation(NarVis)is the pairing of data visualisation with narrative techniques.Due to its interdisciplinary applications and scholarship,NarVis presentations often feature vastly different interpretations of"narrative"and"visualisation",which is echoed in NarVis authoring tools. To map the morphology of how the narratives of NarVis manifest,we identify three different trajectories for the field. These trajectories are identified through an analysis of selected NarVis presentations and tools, with an emphasis on identifying how traditional narrative techniques are adopted, transposed or indeed challenged by NarVis examples. We then populate our categories with additional examples and tools, providing a foundational point of reference for NarVis scholars, authors and tool developers. 展开更多
