Under the influence of a fast radio-frequency field, the EIT peak splits into a series of sidebands. When attaching a power-frequency electric field directly to the fast radio-frequency field, the odd-order sidebands of the Rydberg-EIT oscillate sensitively with the power-frequency field. The oscillation frequency is equal to twice the power frequency;the oscillation amplitude is monotonically increasing with the amplitude of the power-frequency field when the change of Stark-shift is smaller than the radio frequency. Our work paves the way for measurement of power-frequency electric field based on Rydberg atoms.展开更多

The ceramic ferrule is used to expand the Gaussian beam to improve light intensity uniformity, while the volume of the sensor is also reduced. This scheme makes the magnetometer have better sensitivity when the detected light intensity is less than 3.16 m W/cm^(2) at 120℃. When the temperature rises to 150℃ the sensitivity under the action of uniform light field is 18.5 f T/Hz^(1/2). The bandwidth of the sensor remains at the original level and meets application needs. The proposed structure improves transverse polarization uniformity within the miniaturized sensor, which is ideal for the magnetoencephalography and magnetocardiography imaging systems.展开更多

The results show that under atomization gas pressure p=4.5 MPa,the greater the annular slit width D,the lower the static temperature near the central hole outlet at the front end of the melt delivery tube, and the smaller the aspirating pressure at the front end of the melt delivery tube. These features can effectively prevent the occurrence of the clogging phenomenon of metallic melt. Under an annular slit width of D=1.2 mm,when the atomization gas pressure satisfies 1 MPa ≤ p ≤ 2 MPa and increases gradually, the aspirating pressure at the front end of the melt delivery tube will decline rapidly. This can prevent the clogging phenomenon of metallic melt. However, when the atomization gas pressure p >2 MPa,the greater the atomization gas pressure, the lower the static temperature near the central hole outlet at the front end of the melt delivery tube, and the greater the aspirating pressure at the front end of the melt delivery tube. Hence, the effect of preventing the solidification-induced clogging phenomenon of metallic melt is restricted. When atomization gas pressure is p =4.5 MPa and annular slit width is D=1.2 mm,the greater the protrusion length H of the melt delivery tube, and the smaller the aspirating pressure at its front end. The static temperature near the central hole that can be observed in its front end is approximate to effectively prevent the occurrence of clogging phenomenon of metallic melt. However, because of the small aspirating pressure, the metallic melt flows into the atomizing chamber from the central hole at the front end of the melt delivery tube at an increasing speed and the gas-melt ratio in the mass flow rate is reduced, which is not conducive to the improvement of atomization performance.展开更多

The results suggest that two crushing presents in the atomization process using Hartmann nozzle, but only one crushing presents in the atomization process using the other nozzles, through the comparative research on the flow field features of three types of nozzle. Furthermore, the shockwave plays a more important role in crushing of liquid metal than velocity.展开更多

Based on the Stark splitting of the Rb Rydberg state, 10D_(3/2), under electric fields and the corresponding calculated polarizabilities, the real electric field intensity is calculated using the difference in radio-frequency diffraction between two acousto-optic modulators, which acts as a frequency criterion that allows us to measure the electrical field without locking the coupling laser. The value measured by this simple method shows a good agreement with our previous work [Opt.Express 29 1558(2021)] where the frequency of the coupling laser needs to be locked with an additional EIT spectrum based on atom vapor and a proportional–integral–differential feedback circuit. Our presented method can also be extended to the measurement of electric field based on hot Rydberg atom vapor, which has application in industry.展开更多

Below the Curie temperature, a material remains ferromagnetic;above it, the material becomes paramagnetic, with its magnetic field easily influenced by external magnetic fileds. For example, the Curie temperature of iron (Fe) is 1043 K, while that of neodymium magnets ranges from 583 to 673 K. From both physics and mathematics perspectives, examining the temperature properties of materials is essential, as it provides valuable insights into their electromagnetic and thermodynamic behaviors. This paper makes a bold assumption and, for the first time, carefully verifies the existence of a Casimir temperature at 0.00206 K under conditions of one-atomic spacing.展开更多

During the atomic interdiffusion in Ni-Cu system, it was found that the interdiffusion coefficients increased with the increase of molar fraction of Ni atoms in the interdiffusion zones when the couples were annealed with or without the magnetic field. It was noted that all corresponding interdiffusion coefficients under the magnetic field are smaller than those without the magnetic field. The results demonstrate that the magnetic field retards the atomic interdiffusion in Ni-Cu system. This retardation is achieved through reducing the frequency factors but not changing the interdiffusion activation energies.展开更多

Two radio frequency(RF) electric fields, noted as local and signal fields, couple the nearby Rydberg transition. The two-photon resonant Rydberg electromagnetically induced transparency(Rydberg-EIT) is employed to directly read out the weak signal field having hundreds of k Hz difference between the local and signal fields that is encoded in the resonant microwave-dressed Rydberg atoms. The minimum detectable signal fields of ESmin= 1.36 ± 0.04 mV/m for 2.18 GHz coupling |68D(5/2)〉→ |69P(3/2)〉 transition and 1.33 ± 0.02 mV/m for 1.32 GHz coupling |80D(5/2)〉→ |81P(3/2)〉 transition are obtained, respectively. Based on the splitting of the electromagnetically induced transparency spectra of cesium Rydberg atoms in a vapor cell, high-resolution spatial distribution of the microwave electric field strength is achieved for both a cubic cell and a cylinder cell. The spatial distribution of the microwave field strength in two dimensions is measured with sub-wavelength resolution. The experimental results show that the shape of a vapor cell has a significant influence on the abnormal spatial distribution because of the Fabry-P6rot effect inside a vapor cell. A theoretical simulation is obtained for different vapor cell wall thicknesses and shows that a restricted wall thickness results in a measurement fluctuation smaller than 3% at the center of the vapor cell.展开更多

A strategy is proposed to suppress the fluctuation of magnetic field by additional coils, whose current is changed accordingly to compensate the magnetic fluctuation by the linear and incremental compensation. The flight model of the cold atom clock is tested in a simulated orbital magnetic environment and the magnetic field fluctuation in the Ramsey cavity is reduced from 17 nT to 2 nT, which implied the uncertainty due to the second order Zeeman shift is reduced to be less than 2×10^(-16). In addition, utilizing the compensation, the magnetic field in the trapping zone can be suppressed from 7.5 μT to less than 0.3 μT to meet the magnetic field requirement of polarization gradients cooling of atoms.展开更多

We discuss entanglement properties between the two-mode coherent fields and a moving two-level atom by using the quantum reduced entropy, and those between the two-mode coherent fields by using the quantum relative entropy. In addition, we examine the influences of the atomic motion and field-mode structure parameter p on the quantum entanglement of the system. Our results show that the period and the duration of the prepared maximal atom-field entangled states and the frequency of maximal two-mode field entangled states can be controlled, and that a sustained entangled state of the two-mode field, which is independent of atomic motion and the evolution time, can be obtained, by choosing appropriately the parameters of atomic motion, field-mode structure, initial state and interaction time of the system.展开更多

文摘To simulate the transonic atomization jet process in Laval nozzles,to test the law of droplet atomization and distribution,to find a method of supersonic atomization for dust-removing nozzles, and to improve nozzle efficiency, the finite element method has been used in this study based on the COMSOL computational fluid dynamics module. The study results showed that the process cannot be realized alone under the two-dimensional axisymmetric,three-dimensional and three-dimensional symmetric models, but it can be calculated with the transformation dimension method, which uses the parameter equations generated from the two-dimensional axisymmetric flow field data of the three-dimensional model. The visualization of this complex process, which is difficult to measure and analyze experimentally, was realized in this study. The physical process, macro phenomena and particle distribution of supersonic atomization are analyzed in combination with this simulation. The rationality of the simulation was verified by experiments.A new method for the study of the atomization process and the exploration of its mechanism in a compressible transonic speed flow field based on the Laval nozzle has been provided, and a numerical platform for the study of supersonic atomization dust removal has been established.

文摘From the viewpoint of quantum information, this paper studies preparation and control of atomic optimal entropy squeezing states (AOESS) for a moving two-level atom under control of the two-mode squeezing vacuum fields. Necessary conditions of preparation of the AOESS are analysed, and numerical verification of the AOESS is finished. It shows that the AOESS can be prepared by controlling the time of the atom interaction with the field, cutting the entanglement between the atom and field, and adjusting squeezing factor of the field. An atomic optimal entropy squeezing sudden generation in different components can alternately be realized by controlling the field-mode structure parameter.
文摘Using the recently developed finite-basis-set method with B splines, excited states of H atoms in a magnetic field have been calculated. Energy levels are presented for the ten excited states, 2so, 3d'0, 3po, 3p-1, 3d_1, 4d-1, 3d-2, 4d-2, 4f-2 , and 5f-2 as a function of magnetic field strengths with a range from zero up to 2.35 × 10^6 T. The obtained results are compared with available high accuracy theoretical data reported in the literature and found to be in excellent agreement. The comparison also shows that the current method can produce energy levels with an accuracy higher than the existing high accuracy method [Phys. Rev. A 54 (1996) 287]. Here high accuracy energy levels are for the first time reported for the 3d'0, 4d-1, 4d-2, 4f-2, and 5f-2 states.

文摘When the cold atom clock operates in microgravity around the near-earth orbit, its performance will be affected by the fluctuation of magnetic field. In addition, utilizing the compensation, the magnetic field in the trapping zone can be suppressed from 7.5 μT to less than 0.3 μT to meet the magnetic field requirement of polarization gradients cooling of atoms.
文摘The influences of parameters, such as delivery tube structure, gas pressure and the distance between the primary atomizer and the secondary atomizer,on gas flow field were investigated by simulation. The effects of primary pressure on gas velocity at the centerline were compared.Water atomizing experiment was carried out to validate gas scatter angle. The results show that the structure of primary atomizer plays an important role in the flow field near the exit of delivery tube.Metal protector with conical surface at the body extends certain length into the gas flow field to generate greater negative pressure near the tip of delivery tube. The application of primary gas can suppress the circulation generated by only using the secondary atomizer.

文摘We investigate the preparation and the control of entangled states in a system with the two-mode coherent fields interacting with a moving two-level atom via the two-photon transition. Our results show that the period and the duration of the prepared maximal atom-field entangled states and the frequency of maximal two-mode field entangled states can be controlled, and that a sustained entangled state of the two-mode field, which is independent of atomic motion and the evolution time, can be obtained, by choosing appropriately the parameters of atomic motion, field-mode structure, initial state and interaction time of the system.

文摘This paper reports that ultracold atoms are populated into different nS and nD Rydberg states (n=25-52) by two-photon excitation. The ionization spectrum of an ultracold Rydberg atom is acquired in a cesium magneto-optical trap by using the method of pulse field ionization. This denotes nS and nD states in the ionization spectrum and fits the data of energy levels of different Rydberg states to obtain quantum defects of nS and nD states.
