An attempt was made to correlate the thermodynamic predictions and experimental observation. The micro- structure and the microhardness profile across the coating were investigated by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), and a hardness tester. It is found that the coating mainly consists of a large number of reinforcements (black blocky TiB2, flower-like or equiaxial TiC, and fine acicular CrB) and the 7 matrix. The hardness of TiB2, TiC, and CrB reinforcements is much higher than that of the 7 matrix. The dispersive distribu- tion of such high hardness reinforcements causes the increase in hardness of the whole coating. The average value of the hard- ness is approximately Hv0.2 700 in the coating. The hardness of the coating is obviously higher than that of the substrate due to the dispersion strengthening of reinforcements.展开更多

The microstructure and tribological properties of the composite coatings were researched. The results show that the composite coatings mainly consist of γ-Ni, α-Al2O3, γ-Al2O3 and rutile-TiO2 etc, and exhibit lower friction coefficients and wear losses than the Ni-based alloy coatings at different loads and speeds. The composite coating bears low contact stress at 3 N and its wear mechanism is micro-cutting wear. As loads increase to 6-12 N, the contact stress is higher than the elastic limit stress of worn surface, and the wear mechanisms change into multi-plastic deformation wear, micro-brittle fracture wear and abrasive wear. With the increase of speeds, the contact temperature of worn surface increases. The composite coating experiences multi-plastic deformation wear, fatigue wear and adhesive wear.展开更多

The microstructure, phase composition and wear property of the composite coating were investigated by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and dry sliding wear test. The experiment results show that the composite coating is homogeneous and free from cracks, and about 0.8 mm thick. The microstructure of the composite coating is mainly composed of NbC particles, CrB type chromium borides, 7-Ni primary dendrites, and interdendritic eutectics. CrB phases often nucleate and grow on the surface of NbC particles or in their close vicinity. NbC particles are formed via in situ reaction between niobium and graphite in the molten pool during the laser cladding process and they are commonly precipitated in three kinds of morphologies, such as quadrangle, cluster, and flower-like shape. Compared with the pure Ni- based alloy coating, the microhardness of the composite coating is increased about 38%, giving a high average hardness of HV0.21000, and the wear rate of the composite coating is decreased by about 32%, respectively. These are attributed to the presence of in situ synthesized NbC particles and their well distribution in the coating.展开更多

The tribolayers formed on the friction surface and their effects on the tribological properties of composites at different temperatures were discussed based on the worn surface characterization. The results show that Ag2 W2 O7 is decomposed into metallic silver and CrWO4 during the high-temperature fabrication process. The composite with the addition of 20 wt% Ti3 SiC2 and 5 wt% Ag2 W2 O7 exhibits a friction coefficient of 0.33-0.49 and a wear rate of 7.07×10-5-9.89×10-5 mm3/(Nm) over a wide temperature range from room temperature to 600 ℃. The excellent tribological properties at a wide temperature range are attributed to the formation of a glaze layer at low temperature and a tribooxide layer at high temperature, which can provide a low shearing strength for the synergistic effects of Ag and tribooxides.展开更多

The properties of the lap-wound cores of the two kinds of ribbons are similar. For the composite ribbons, the intrinsic properties are the average of the two alloys. Their technological properties, i.e., hysteresis loops, however, are no longer the average of the two alloys. Instead, they show some dramatic changes compared to the lap-wound-cores. Especially, the shape of the hysteresis loop of the composite ribbon cores is largely different from that of lap-wound-cores. The reason for the difference is supposed to be internal stress induced from cooling after annealing.展开更多

The effects of load, speed and temperature on the tribological behavior and mechanisms of the composite coatings under dry friction were researched. The wear prediction model of the composite coatings was established based on the least square support vector machine (LS-SVM). The results show that the composite coatings exhibit smaller friction coefficients and wear losses than the Ni-based alloy coatings under different friction conditions. Their tribological properties from room temperature to 600 ℃ and mechanical properties at atmosphere were tested. The results show that the hardness and anti-bending strength of composites increase by more than 20% when containing 6%(mass fraction) MoS2. But when molybdenum disulfide content exceeds 6%,the hardness and anti-bending strength will decrease gradually. The addition of MoS2 is favored to the reduction of friction coefficient of composite. The friction coefficient of composite decreases with the increase of molybdenum disulfide until the percentage of lubricant reaches 12%. In excess of this value, the friction coefficient value starts to ascend. The wear rates of composite with molybdenum disulfide are one order of magnitude lower than the alloy without lubricant. When the addition amount of MoS2 is in the range of 6% and 12%,the wear rates keep at the resemble level.展开更多

文摘The in situ synthesized NbC particles reinforced Ni-based alloy composite coating was produced by laser cladding a precursor mixture of Ni-based alloy powder, graphite and niobium powders on a steel substrate. These are attributed to the presence of in situ synthesized NbC particles and their well distribution in the coating.

文摘The novel Ni-based brazing filler was used to join C/C composites. When brazing temperature increased from 1080 to 1100°C,the wetting angle decreased from 23°to 14°,and the brazing filler had good wettability on the surface of C/C composites. The brazing seam of the brazed joint consisted of Ni(s,s)and Cr_(3)C_(2) phases. As brazing temperature increased, lots of Cr_(3)C_(2) phases were generated at the bonding interface, and the thick reaction layer was formed. When brazing temperature was 1120°C,the shear strength of C/C joint reached the maximum value of 31.5 MPa.The fracture path extended in the C/C matrix close to the bonding interface.

文摘The tribological properties of Nickel-based composites containing Ti3 SiC2 and Ag2 W2 O7 fabricated by spark plasma sintering against Si3 N4 balls were investigated using a ball-on-disk tribometer from room temperature to 600 ℃. The excellent tribological properties at a wide temperature range are attributed to the formation of a glaze layer at low temperature and a tribooxide layer at high temperature, which can provide a low shearing strength for the synergistic effects of Ag and tribooxides.
文摘In order to reduce the friction coefficient of Ni-base alloy coating and further improve its wear resistance,Ni-base alloy composite coatings modified by both graphite and TiC particles were prepared by plasma spray technology on the surface of 45 carbon steel. The results show that friction coefficient of the composite coating is 47.45% lower than that of the Ni-base alloy coating, and the wear mass loss is reduced by 59.1%.Slip lines and severe adhesive plastic deformation are observed on the worn surface of the Ni-base alloy coating, indicating that the wear mechanisms of the Ni-base alloy coating are multi-plastic deformation wear and adhesive wear.A soft transferred layer abundant in graphite and ferric oxide is developed on the worn surface of the composite coating, which reduces the friction coefficient and wear loss in a great deal. The main wear mechanism of the composite coating is fatigue delamination of the transferred layer.
文摘In order to reduce the friction coefficients and further improve the anti-wear properties of Ni-base alloy coatings reinforced by TiC particles,graphite/TiC/Ni-base alloy(GTN) coatings were prepared on the surface of 45 carbon steel. The effects of graphite content on the microstructure and tribological properties of the GTN coatings were investigated. The results show that the addition of graphite to the GTN coatings may greatly reduce the friction coefficients and improve their wear resistance. The 6.56GTN and 12.71GTN coatings exhibit excellent integrated properties of anti-friction and wear resistance under low and high loads, respectively.Under a low load, the wear mechanisms of the GTN coatings are mainly multi-plastic deformation with slight abrasive wear and gradually change into mixture of multi-plastic deformation, delamination and micro-cutting wear with the increase of graphite fraction. As the load increases, the main wear mechanisms gradually change from micro-cracks,micro-cutting and adhesive wear to micro-cutting and micro-fracture with the increase of graphite fraction.
文摘In order to reduce the friction coefficients and improve the wear resistance of mechanical parts, which work in the severe friction and wear conditions at heavy loads, the graphite/CaFg/TiC/Ni-base alloy composite coatings were prepared by plasma spray and their tribological behavior and mechanisms were investigated. The results show that the friction coefficients of the composite coatings are in the range of 0.22-0.288, which are reduced by 25.9% to 53% compared with those of the pure Ni-base alloy coatings, and the wear rates of the former are 18.6%-70.1% less than those of the latter. When wear against GCr15 steel balls, a transferred layer mainly composed of ferric oxides, graphite and CaF2 may gradually develop on the worn surface of the composite coatings, which made the friction and wear between GCr15 steel ball and the composite coatings change into that between the former and the transferred layer. So the friction coefficients and the wear lubrication effect of the transferred layer. The main wear layer in friction process. rates of the composite coatings are greatly reduced because of the solid mechanism of the composite coatings is delamination of the transferred
文摘Ms-T curves and hysteresis loops were investigated for amorphous Fe78Si9B13, (FeNi)78(CrSiB)22, their lap-wound-cores, and their composite ribbons made by two-chamber-crucible technique. The reason for the difference is supposed to be internal stress induced from cooling after annealing.
文摘TiC particles reinforced Ni-based alloy composite coatings were prepared on 7005 aluminum alloy by plasma spray. The predicting time of the LS-SVM model is only 12.93%of that of the BP-ANN model, and the predicting accuracies on friction coefficients and wear losses of the former are increased by 58.74%and 41.87%compared with the latter. The LS-SVM model can effectively predict the tribological behavior of the TiCP/Ni-base alloy composite coatings under dry friction.

文摘Ni-based submicron WS2/CaF2 self-lubricating composite coatings were produced on carbon steel substrate by high velocity oxygen fuel(HVOF) spray processing, and the microstructure and mechanical properties of the coatings were investigated. Non-uniform microstructure characterized by some pores and microcracks is observed in the produced composite coatings, which leads to low microhardness value, low adhesive strength and low frictional coefficient. For Ni45-5%CaF2-10%WS2 (mass fraction) and Ni45-10%CaF2-5%WS2 (mass fraction) coatings, under the test condition of load 40 N and speed 2 m/s, the friction coefficients obtained at room temperature are in the range of 0.35-0.48 and 0.31-0.41, respectively. The friction coefficients of two kinds of coatings increase to 0.4-0.63 and 0.35-0.46, respectively, at the test speed of 1 m/s. And the Ni45-10%CaF2-5%WS2 coating presents the minimum friction coefficient of 0.32-0.38 and good anti-wear properties at 400 ℃.

文摘Ni-20Cr powders mixed with tungsten, aluminum, titanium, and different contents of molybdenum disulfides were hot-pressed in graphite mould by powder metallurgy method. When the addition amount of MoS2 is in the range of 6% and 12%,the wear rates keep at the resemble level.
