On Translation of Chinese Folk Culture Based on Skopos Theory——A Case Study of Commentary of Folk Custom Gallery in Ningbo Museum

Folk culture plays an indispensable role in the Chinese culture.Therefore,as cultural exchanges between countries become more and more frequent,promoting the folk culture has a profound effect on enhancement of cultural soft power.Furthermore,this paper has explored translation of commentary of Folk Custom Gallery in Ningbo Museum and summarized six translation methods based on Skopos theory.

Effects of shellfish culture on the community and mortality of zooplankton in a subtropical Bay

Spatial and temporal distribution of abundance,community structure and succession,and mortality of zooplankton were examined in a subtropical bay—the Qinzhou Bay,Guangxi,South China,to evaluate the impact of oyster culture on zooplankton.Data on zooplankton abundance,phytoplankton biomass,and environmental parameters were collected in 12 routine samplings at four sites in the Qinzhou Bay in 2018.Results show that the hydrological environment in the estuary affected the temporal variation of zooplankton of the Qinzhou Bay.However,the oyster culture affected the spatial distributions of zooplankton.The abundance of zooplankton outside the oyster farm was higher than that inside,whereas the mortality outside the oyster farm,on the contrary,was lower than that inside.Oyster culture in the Qinzhou Bay had built a significant impact on the abundance and community composition of zooplankton,and the food shortage caused by the ingestion of oyster might exacerbate the mortality of zooplankton in the Qinzhou Bay.In addition,the large-scale oyster culture increased the spatial heterogeneity of the community structure of zooplankton inside and outside the oyster farms.Findings of this study provide a reference for future policy-making in aquaculture management.

High efficient mixed culture screening and selected microbial community shift for bioleaching process

To screen the high efficient mixed culture and understand the bioleaching behaviors of mixed culture for low-grade copper sulfide ore bioleaching,ten mixed cultures were collected and screened from different acid mine drainages obtained from sulfide mines of China.The leaching rate was set as criterion to screen the mixed culture and the metagenomic approach.Community genome array（CGA） was used for analyzing the mixed culture microbial community shift during the bioleaching process.The results indicate that the mixed culture obtained from Yinshan（YS） lead-zinc mine in Dexing of Jiangxi province in China reaches the maximum copper extraction（68.89%） during the one bioleaching period of 24 d.CGA results show that YS culture contains nine kinds of bacteria which are belong to six divisions,and the microbial community structure is changing during the bioleaching process.This provides a good way to accelerate the bioleaching process and reveals the microbial community shift during the bioleaching process.

Technology and Community in a Rural Culture: The Amish

The Amish are a marginal outgroup in the United States who have remained far from the center of the dominant society in their nearly 400 year history.This is in part due to a judicious acceptance and adoption of newer technologies,as these are not viewed as vales free.This highly religious community is promoted as a tourist attraction by various states where their communities flourish.Their culture seems quaint or antiquated,though this is partly due to a preference for older methods of labor and production that have stood the test of time and serve to maintain integrity of the culture.The Amish have been persecuted in past for choosing to be a non-violent culture,which has also prohibited their exposure to various technologies.Their history in America runs counter to the culture and experiences of the dominant social culture,as well as many minority cultures.Their endurance and success run counter to much of the development of social welfare milestones and policy in America.Yet,the Amish represent marginal and oppressed people in immigrant history.Many who promote their culture continue to exploit them based upon the misunderstandings of the larger society.Some who write about them perpetuate these misconceptions.This paper seeks to examine critically via the selection of available historical evidence,and through the historical observations of earlier writers raised in Amish tradition,how the Amish view themselves and concerning technology within their culture.

Construction of traditional Chinese medicine culture and characteristic communityculture： a review

The broad and profound Chinese medicine culture is an important part of Chinese traditional culture, which nourishes the vigorous development of modern Chinese medicine. At present, traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） culture faces challenges and opportunities. As the inheritor of Chinese medicine culture, we bear the burden of inheriting and carrying forward TCM culture. Distinctive community culture is mainly playing value guidance and education transmission function in the process of residents identifying with the culture of Chinese medicine. Therefore, building a distinctive community culture under the guidance of the essence of TCM can effectively inherit and develop TCM culture.

Analysis of Ecotourism, Culture and Local Community Empower­ment: Case Study of Wasur National Park - Indonesia

The focus of this research lies in community empowerment based on culture and local communities as well as sustainable ecotourism,which is directed at a complicated mechanism of empowerment elements,local culture that is thick in ecotourism to get added value for the novelty of ecotourism research.The object of research is Wasur National Park(WNP),Papua,Indonesia.Qualitative methods have been used to obtain accurate data and information,i.e.,in-depth interviews with indigenous people to find out the benefits or functions of their culture that can be developed in ecotourism,interviews with leaders and staff of WNP and the Department of Culture and Tourism to find out the potential and processes empowerment and existing tourism potential.As a result,from the perspective of empowerment,local people will easily follow the empowerment process provided that they use methods that are culturally appropriate which is from the viewpoints from the culture of sasi,totem and sacred places.The culture adopted by the community is in accordance with the principles of ecotourism that supports sustainability,environmental conservation,protection of environmental resources and increases economic value.However,it is recommended to carry out modified socialization in accordance with the current conditions.Hence,tourists who visit WNP do not become afraid of the very rigid sanctions which are applied to them who violate the existing cultural and environmental customs.Moreover,to get added economic value in the tourism business within WNP,it is necessary to explore the potential of cultural wealth,natural and biological wealth so that it becomes the main attraction in carrying out the economic empowerment of local communities in the field of ecotourism.

The Role of Community-Based Ecotourism in Biodiversity Conservation in the Mount Oku Area, Cameroon

Forests are biodiversity hotspots which provide livelihood and act as safety nets for adjacent communities. Increasing dependence on forest is threatening this biodiversity. Ecotourism, a biodiversity conservation strategy has the potential to restore degraded habitat, and create socio-cultural and economic benefits that improve communities’ livelihoods. This study focused on the role of community-based ecotourism in biodiversity conservation in the Mount Oku forest, of the North West region of Cameroon. The study identified and ranked livelihood activities that led to biodiversity destruction, assessed ecotourism potentials and conservation practices, identified ecotourism benefits and assessed household income levels before and after the institution of ecotourism. We randomly selected three communities from the study area. The study was guided by the Forest Management Plan, the Simple Management Plan of the Kilum/Ijim forest project and the concept of Biosphere Reservation. Descriptive statistics were simple percentages presented on tables, while the inferential statistics of Wilcoxon rank test was used to analyze the data collected for the study. Our findings reveal that, the livelihood activities that led to biodiversity destruction include agriculture, logging, fuelwood collection and grazing. Ecotourism potentials/conservation strategies were nature-based, education-based, culture-based, and agriculture-based;value chain was integrated in all these aspects which enhanced livelihood diversification. The benefits include business opportunities, infrastructure development, and forest regeneration. Income level generated after the institution of ecotourism was higher than the level of income before (Z = -1442, p = 0.001). Clear indicators need to be established to measure long-term project effectiveness in biodiversity conservation and livelihood sustainability.

城市国际化背景下的宁波历史文化街区多语景观研究

在经济文化全球化的背景下,多语景观作为城市语言多样性和文化交流的重要体现,对于推动城市语言环境的和谐发展具有重要意义。该研究旨在探讨宁波历史文化街区多语景观的现状与发展,并分析其与城市发展和语言政策制定的紧密关系。研究选取了月湖、南塘老街、莲桥第三个具有代表性的历史文化街区作为研究对象,通过田野调查法和分类分析法,对官方和私人语言景观进行深入调查与分析。研究发现,宁波历史文化街区的语言景观整体呈现出以汉语为主、双语和多语标牌并存的特征,但不同区域的多语景观存在差异,反映了不同的语言权势和文化权势。建议在未来城市规划中加强双语标识设置的标准化、规范化和精细化管理,利用现代科技手段提升语言景观的互动性与实用性,以进一步提升城市的国际影响力与竞争力。

A Theoretical Model of Cultural Heritage Tourism from the Perspective of Community Participation

Concept of community participation was introduced,and Penang taken for example to study the community participation in cultural heritage tourism.On the basis of the literature review and the statistic data,a theoretical community participation model of community participation in cultural heritage tourism was constructed which combines two perspectives:objective and subjective.This research has significant theoretical and practical meanings not only just for cultural heritage tourism but also for other tourism products.

PCR-DGGE Analysis of Bacterial Communities Structure in Babylonia areolata Culture Systems of The Subtidal Zone and The Pond Mulched Plastic Film and Sand in Bottom

To know the bacterial communities structure in Babylonia areolata culture systems and to research and optimize the management pattem of Babylonia areola-ta culture systems of the pond mulched plastic film and sand in bottom, the bacte- rial communities in Babylonia areolata culture systems of the sub-tidal zone and the pond mulched plastic film and sand in bottom were analyzed at molecular level by adopting the denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis （DGGE）. The results indicated that the dominant bacterial communities in Babylonia areolata culture systems of the sub-tidal zone and the pond mulched plastic film and sand in bottom, which were built on the basis of the seawater in East-island of Zhanjiang, included Proteobac- teda Chloroflexi, Cyanobacteria and Actinobacteria. The dominant bacterial groups in the above pond culture system were Garnmaproteobacteria, Alphaproteobacteria, Deltaprotecbacteda, Epsilonproteobacteda, Anaerolineae, Cyanobacteria and Acti- nobacteda. The dominant bacterial communities in the subtidal zone culture system were Gammaprotecbacteda, Alphaproteobacteria, Deltaproteobacteria, Anaerolineae and Cyanobacteda, and there were less Epsilonproteobacteria and Actinobacteria in the culture system. The higher diversity was detected in the above two culture sys- tems. The results of unweighted pair group method with arithmetic average （UPG- MA） showed that the bacterial communities of the sediment samples S1 and S2 in the above two culture systems were a cluster, the similarity of bacterial communities was 54.5%. The bacterial communities of seawater samples S3 and S4 in the above culture systems were in clusters, and the similarity of the bacterial communi- ties was 84.0%. The results showed that the microorganism ecological level in the Babylonia areolata culture systems of the pond mulched plastic film and sand in bottom could be similar to the sub-tidal zone culture systems through changing the pond seawater and monitoring the microbial population.

Rural Tourism Format Network Mode Based on Community Participation:A Case Study of Jindatian Village of Zhejiang Province

Because of the existing problems, features and demands in China ’s rural tourism development, sustainability in modern rural tourism necessitates the own ca-pability of rural vil ages and the active participation of community residents. The structure of rural community with the impact of rural tourism is analyzed, and the coupling relation between rural tourism development mode and rural community is discussed. With the integration of rural tourism resource and community capability, network of rural tourism formats is organized starting with the possibility and ways of participation of community＆#39;s vil agers, and formats of public resource type, plat-form investment type, smal and micro enterprises type, and general investment type are constructed to realize the positive cycle of rural community factors and tourism development. A case study of Jindatian Vil age demonstrates the feasibility of rural tourism network mode based on community development, which can depend on community＇s capability to realize the sustainable rural tourism, the protection and heritance of rural culture, and the regeneration of rural economy.

Research on Community Cultural Characteristic of She Nationality in East Fujian Province and Its Response to Geological Space

With the concept that culture was the product of certain natural environment and social condition, as there were less researches on response of community culture of She Nationality to geological space and on influence of geological space on She community culture, the study took community culture of She Nationality in East Fujian as the research subject, and analyzed distribution of She Nationality. By taking relevant documents on She Nationality of East Fujian Province for reference, through analysis of characteristic culture and geopolitical background of She community, it was considered that characteristic culture lied in united and friendly community culture, rough and practical sports culture, ancient medicine culture, food culture of mountainous feature and architectural culture. Furthermore, it analyzed response of She community culture to geological space from the perspectives of regional space, geological environment and climate; and pointed out the far-reaching influence of geological space on She community culture.

Theories on Community of Destiny: From Social Contract to Culture Form

This paper systematically reviews the theoretical achievements about human community in the Western intellectual history between the seventeenth century and the period around the First World War.It argues that the conception of community had undergone a historical process from social contract theory towards a theory based on communities of national culture and destiny,which highlighted a political vision of culture sharing.

Nag Mohashoy Temple Complex,Narayanganj:A Case Study of Adaptive Reuse for Hindu Religious Site

With an emphasis on the religious component of reuse potentiality,this study investigates the crucial nexus between spatial development and the conservation model for religious practice with socio-communal dimensions.Adaptive reuse is a critical tactic for global preservation and revitalization to elevate heritage sites in culturally significant locations but provides contemporary functions to them simultaneously.This study examines the various facets of adaptive reuse concerning the religious cultural heritage of suppressed minorities,stressing its insight and importance including the inherent cultural worth of ancient structures and difficulties through creative solutions to modify the temple with modern purposes.The research methodology approaches through an extensive analysis of the literature and case studies and ends with design interventions.It looks into the socioeconomic advantages of adaptive reuse in religious practice,such as the promotion of pilgrimage tourism,community revitalization,and sustainable development.The possible findings will emphasize the conversation on sustainable heritage management by combining theoretical frameworks with practical discoveries as an architectural project with certain concepts.

Comparison of bioleaching of chalcopyrite concentrates with mixed culture after cryopreservation with PEG-2000 in liquid nitrogen

A mixed culture of bioleaching microorganisms was enriched.Then the mixed culture was preserved by liquid nitrogen cryopreservation for 6 months and 12 months,respectively,using PEG-2000 as the protective agent.The chalcopyrite leaching ability,activity and diversity of the mixed culture before and after preservation were compared.The results showed that the copper extraction rate was 95.7%in chalcopyrite bioleaching within 20 d by the original culture.After cryopreservation for 6 months and 12 months,the copper extraction rate of the mixed culture was 94.9%within 25 d and 93.6%within 35 d,respectively.The cell viability achieved 87%and 41%after being preserved for 6 months and 12 months,respectively.Furthermore,the ecology analysis identified Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans,Acidithiobacillus caldus,Sulfobacillus thermotolerans and Pseudomonas aeruginosa in the original mixed culture.After cryopreservation for 12 months,the composition of community changed,but the predominant microorganisms still existed.
