Comparative Study on Changes of Croplands Between North Korea and South Korea During 1990–2015 被引量:1

Studies on long-term change of cropland is of great significance to the utilization of land resources and the implementation of scientific agricultural policies. The Korean Peninsula, adjacent to China, plays an important role in the international environment of Northeast Asia. The Korean Peninsula includes South Korea and North Korea—two countries that have a great difference in their institutions and economic developments. Therefore, we aim to quantify the spatiotemporal changes of croplands in these two countries using Landsat Thematic Imager(TM) and Operational Land Imager(OLI) imagery, and to compare the differences of cropland changes between the two countries. This paper take full advantage of ODM approach(object-oriented segmentation and decision-tree classification based on multi-season imageries) to obtain the distribution of croplands in 1990 and 2015. Results showed that the overall classification accuracy of cropland data is 91.10% in 1990 and 92.52% in 2015. The croplands were mainly distributed in areas with slopes that were less than 8° and with elevations that were less than 300 m in the Korean Peninsula. However, in other region(slope > 8° or elevation > 300 m), the area and proportion of North Korea's croplands were significantly higher than that of South Korea. Croplands significantly increased by 15.02% in North Korea from 1990 to 2015. In contrast, croplands in South Korea slightly decreased by 1.32%. During the 25 years, policy shift, economic development, population growth, and urban sprawl played primary roles for cropland changes. Additionally, the regional differences of cropland changes were mainly due to different agriculture policies implemented by different countries. The achievements of this study can provide scientific guidance for the protection and sustainability of land resources. 展开更多

Model development to estimate site index values for six major tree species in North Korea

Due to considerable deforestation in North Korea,there is a need to plan forest restoration programs based on scientific forest management.In this study,a methodology was developed for estimating the site index values of six major tree species and the forest productivity potential.The site index values of these tree species were derived in South Korea using the Chapman-Richards equation.These values were used with data from the 6th National Forest Inventory,which included 20 types of edaphic,topographic,and climatic factors,and random forest analysis—a widely used machine learning technique for spatial prediction—to develop a new model for estimating the site index values of these species across South Korea.The prediction accuracy of this model was evaluated using the root mean square error.The results show that the prediction accuracy was high,with a root mean square error of~1m.Moreover,the importance of the variables related to climate and geography was generally high.The proposed site index estimation model for six tree species was applied across North Korea,and its effectiveness tested by comparing the estimated values with those reported in literature from North Korea.The differences between the model outputs and recorded data in the northern alpine regions were presumably due to the lack of data for high-altitude regions in South Korea.This model is based on the determination of the suitability of tree species in restoration efforts.Therefore,it can contribute to the evaluation of forest productivity in North Korea and may help plan efficient forest restoration programs. 展开更多

The objective of this study was to investigate the epidemiology of bovine Piroplasms infections in the Rasǒn area of North Korea.The survey was carried out by light microscopic examination of Giemsa-stained blood smears,PCR,and phylogenetic evolution analysis of 128 blood samples collected from the Rasǒn area.The results showed that the infection rates of the small and large parasites were about 2.5 and 1.5% on average,respectively,in all Theileria sergenti and Babesia ovatapositive blood smears by microscopic examination of blood smears.The detection rate of T.sergenti Giemsa-stained smears was 43.75%,while that with PCR was 67.97%.The detection rate of B.ovata Giemsa-stained smears was 49.21%,while that with PCR was 71.88%.The sequence and phylogenetic analysis of DNA showed 98.84% homology between the 18S rRNA gene sequences of T.sergenti isolates from North Korean and that of Yanbian state from China,indicating the closest genetic relationship between both of them.Moreover,100% homology was shown between the 18S rRNA gene sequence of B.ovata isolates from North Korea and the published sequence AY081192 of GenBank,indicating the closest genetic relationship between both of them.This survey confirmed that Ras n is the endemic area of T.sergenti and B.ovata in North Korea. 展开更多

Application of Smart Power Strategy to Construct a More Effective Strategy to Denuclearize North Korea

It is time for the U... The use of sanctions to coerce Pyongyang into abandoning its nuclear weapons and related programs is not working. North Korea continues to survive and expands its nuclear and missile capabilities. It is time for the US to construct a more successful North Korea strategy by applying a smart power strategy before the North Koreans can operationalize their nuclear ICBMs within the next several years. If and when that occurs, the US will inevitably consider the use of force to resolve the North Korean nuclear issue, but that will be too costly for the US and its allies. Washington must do all it can to avoid another war on the Asian mainland. The only practical uses of force are as defensive and enhanced deterrence measures to protect the US and its allies against North Korean nuclear and conventional provocations. Instead, the US should call for an immediate freeze of North Korea's nuclear and missile programs and demonstrate its willingness to co-exist with Pyongyang, Only by accepting co-existence with Pyongyang, Washington has an opportunity to persuade Beijing and Moscow to join its efforts with Seoul and Tokyo to denuclearize North Korea. It is time to engage North Korea by accepting it as it is and exercising strategic patience of a different kind to achieve US aims. 展开更多

根据朝鲜6次地下核试验在中国东北及邻近地区产生的宽频带区域地震资料,中国科学院地质与地球物理研究所地震学学科组发展了一套用于监测地下核试验的地震学方法,主要包括震级测量和当量估计、高精度震中定位以及爆炸与天然地震事件识别... 根据朝鲜6次地下核试验在中国东北及邻近地区产生的宽频带区域地震资料,中国科学院地质与地球物理研究所地震学学科组发展了一套用于监测地下核试验的地震学方法,主要包括震级测量和当量估计、高精度震中定位以及爆炸与天然地震事件识别等.在全球范围内,存在多个用于震级-当量转换的经验公式,确定何种公式适合于朝鲜半岛地区至关重要.通过搜集一组用于地震测深的化学爆炸的当量和埋深,并以这些已知爆炸源作为量规事件,能够标定朝鲜地下核试验场的震级-当量关系,从而实现对朝鲜地下核爆进行当量估计.在精确定位方面,发展了利用多事件之间波形互相关方法精确测定它们之间的走时差从而完成高精度相对震中定位.通过进一步利用Pn和Pg等多震相数据还实现了对核爆深度的相对定位.在爆炸震源识别方面,利用统计处理方法分析研究了不同类型事件所产生地震波的特征,包括6次地下核试验、4次天然地震和3次化学爆炸,以及一些矿区塌陷等.结果发现P和S类型波的振幅比,例如Pn/Lg、Pg/Lg和Pn/Sn等,在2 Hz以上能够较好区分各类震源.其中爆炸震源产生的振幅比显著高于天然地震的值.特别是,通过计算谱振幅比的台网平均值能够显著提高识别的可靠性.利用中国东北和附近地区地震台网所提供的数据可以准确地将朝鲜地下核试验从周边天然地震事件中识别出来.该方法同时得到化学爆炸的P/S谱振幅比值介于核爆炸和天然地震的群组之间. 展开更多

The calling activity of anurans is influenced by environmental variables and calls produced by syntopic amphibians,among other variables.Some variables have a strong influence,such as temperature and predation dilution,while others may have a periodical influence such as the moon cycle.Here,we hypothesised that the calling activity of the Suweon treefrog,Dryophytes suweonensis,is restricted by specific environmental variables but reinforced by the calling activity of specific syntopic anurans.Within the criteria set by the experimental design,D.suweonensis calling activity was significantly influenced by moon phase,temperature,date,time to sunset and the calling activity of Pelophylax nigromaculatus and D.japonicus.These variables are expected to be related to chorus size,predation,breeding phenology and competition,suggesting a broad plasticity in the calling activity of the species. 展开更多

韩国中东部的太白山盆地位于京畿、岭南两个构造单元之间。采用LA-ICP-MS方法,从太白山盆地下寒武统、中-上石炭统(下二叠统?)砂岩碎屑锆石中分别获得27个和47个U-Pb有效年龄,前者记录了1820~1945Ma、2172~2195Ma、2473~2593Ma等3期... 韩国中东部的太白山盆地位于京畿、岭南两个构造单元之间。采用LA-ICP-MS方法,从太白山盆地下寒武统、中-上石炭统(下二叠统?)砂岩碎屑锆石中分别获得27个和47个U-Pb有效年龄,前者记录了1820~1945Ma、2172~2195Ma、2473~2593Ma等3期可信的构造热事件,相对概率峰值分别为1897Ma、2177Ma以及2528Ma;后者记录了288~340Ma、461~474Ma、1780~1892Ma、1941~1959Ma、2012~2050Ma等5期可信的构造热事件,其中相对概率峰值为305Ma和1867Ma的两组年龄比较集中。研究认为,太白山盆地与京畿、岭南两个地块均发育大约1850Ma的构造热事件,缺乏华南比较特征的新元古代构造热事件;进一步依据太白山盆地相应时段沉积古流向和古地理分布,说明太白山盆地至少与岭南地块之间存在密切的碎屑物源和构造属性关系,其构造热事件记录可与华北克拉通对比。另一方面,尽管中-上石炭统(下二叠统?)碎屑锆石记录了峰值为305Ma和468Ma可能发生在华北-朝鲜联合块体南缘的俯冲或构造热事件,但上述两个样品的碎屑锆石均缺乏新元古代构造热事件的年龄记录,所以亲华南的陆块至少在晚石炭世(早二叠世?)以前并未向太白山盆地提供碎屑物源。 展开更多

中国和日本都在实行某种总体上对于对方的战略"双轨"方针,一方面谋求在有限程度上改善关系,另一方面继续进行战略对峙和战略预防。中国需要进一步稳定目前的中日关系,继续缓解对抗,防止军事冲突,同时依靠缓解对抗来阻滞日本... 中国和日本都在实行某种总体上对于对方的战略"双轨"方针,一方面谋求在有限程度上改善关系,另一方面继续进行战略对峙和战略预防。中国需要进一步稳定目前的中日关系,继续缓解对抗,防止军事冲突,同时依靠缓解对抗来阻滞日本行进中的解禁集体自卫权进程。美韩两国在韩部署"萨德"反导系统的决定导致中国强烈愤怒,中韩关系随之急剧和显著地恶化。然而,争取和维持韩国对中国的基本或起码友善这个重大利益依然存在,它密切地关系到防止和制止朝鲜半岛成为美国针对中国的战略/军事堡垒,因而中国对韩国要不将任何基本的事情"做绝",尽可能不主动损伤中韩关系多年发展造就的每一项已有的重大成果。中国在朝鲜和朝鲜半岛问题上有六项很经久的核心利益或重大利害,它们都对中国至关紧要,因而总的来说不能扬此抑彼,更不能舍彼取此。必须估计到,朝鲜问题上对中国总的来说有利的、基本和平地解决问题的时机早已过去,今后该问题的前途对中国来说都严重不祥。因而,从长远出发特别重要的是,对朝决不将任何基本的事情"做绝",防止或阻止朝鲜持对华持久敌视态度;任何情况下都决不容许美国和美韩同盟在军事上控制朝鲜半岛北部。 展开更多

自2006年至2017年,朝鲜民主主义人民共和国在中朝边界地区的试验场进行了6次地下核试验.本文综合报道根据东北亚地区的宽频带数字地震资料利用地震学方法对这六次地下核爆炸的研究.结果表明,朝鲜地下核试验在区域台网产生的地震记录具... 自2006年至2017年,朝鲜民主主义人民共和国在中朝边界地区的试验场进行了6次地下核试验.本文综合报道根据东北亚地区的宽频带数字地震资料利用地震学方法对这六次地下核爆炸的研究.结果表明,朝鲜地下核试验在区域台网产生的地震记录具有典型浅源爆炸的特征.针对上述资料发展了处理核爆数据的方法并据此得出各次朝鲜核爆的地震学参数,包括事件识别、当量测定、以及震中相对定位等.对6次核爆和4次天然地震P/S类型谱振幅比的统计分析表明,2Hz以上台网平均谱振幅比可以正确地将朝鲜核爆从天然地震中识别出来,从而有效监测在朝鲜半岛进行的当量大于0.5kt的地下核试验.同时也发现,建立在体波-面波震级比之上的识别方法不适用于朝鲜核试验场.通过建立中朝边界地区基于Lg波的体波震级系统,计算了各次朝鲜核试验的体波震级mb(Lg),并由此估计了它们的地震学当量,其值介于0.5kt至60kt之间.由于缺少爆炸埋藏深度的数据,上述当量有可能被低估,因而有必要对深度影响做进一步研究.以第一次爆炸的位置为参考震中,利用Pn波相对走时数据和高精度相对定位方法获得了各次核爆在试验场中的精确定位. 展开更多

华北块体(NCB)与胶辽朝块体(JLKB)是中朝板块东部从震旦纪(680Ma)开始裂解的两个不同的构造单元。两个块体的界线称古郯庐断裂(PTLF)。古郯庐断裂位置与现今郯庐断裂(TLF)相吻合,即由合肥向北延伸,过渤海,经沈阳以东呈NE走向至吉林南部... 华北块体(NCB)与胶辽朝块体(JLKB)是中朝板块东部从震旦纪(680Ma)开始裂解的两个不同的构造单元。两个块体的界线称古郯庐断裂(PTLF)。古郯庐断裂位置与现今郯庐断裂(TLF)相吻合,即由合肥向北延伸,过渤海,经沈阳以东呈NE走向至吉林南部。古郯庐断裂带附近震旦纪碳酸盐岩中的强地震记录及相应的辉绿岩侵位,是中朝板块内部裂解的基本地质证据,古郯庐断裂带(板内地震带)与元古超大陆Rodinia的裂解时期是一致的。两个块体上,太古宙基底岩石不同;元古宙及古生代的发展历史有别,两个块体于晚石炭世的莫斯科期重新闭合。朝鲜半岛中部的临津江带曾被认为是大别—胶南造山带的东延部分,但临津江带只是一般性断裂,胶南超高压带在朝鲜半岛并未发现。朝鲜半岛南部主体与辽东半岛古生界相似,因此,将中朝板块的南界,也是胶辽朝块体的南界置于朝鲜半岛之南,它与胶南造山带以黄海转换断层(YSTF)联结。辽宁省瓦房店(旧称复县)与山东省蒙阴含金刚石的金伯利岩分布在郯庐断裂带的东、西两侧,南北方向距离约550km。两地金伯利岩年龄值在500~450Ma之间,即中奥陶世末侵位。鉴于两地金伯利岩在岩相学、矿物学与侵位年龄等某些方面的相似性,又紧邻郯庐断裂两侧,有些地质学家认为二者在侵位时可能相距颇近,属同一岩省。 展开更多

朝鲜平南盆地埃迪卡拉系-下寒武统地层碳同位素特征 被引量:3

中朝古陆(华北古陆)平南盆地位于朝鲜半岛中部,广泛发育新元古界-古生界地层。根据化石记录,一般认为燕滩群(自下而上包括飞狼洞组和棱里组)主体属于埃迪卡拉系,黄州(超)群坪山组和中和组主体属于下寒武统。然而,该套地层记录的新元古界... 中朝古陆(华北古陆)平南盆地位于朝鲜半岛中部,广泛发育新元古界-古生界地层。根据化石记录,一般认为燕滩群(自下而上包括飞狼洞组和棱里组)主体属于埃迪卡拉系,黄州(超)群坪山组和中和组主体属于下寒武统。然而,该套地层记录的新元古界-古生界界线处在什么位置,燕滩群是否记录冰期事件(如,Gaskiers冰期),尚有争议。本文对这些地层开展了碳、氧同位素分析。结果表明,飞浪洞组δ13C值从底部+2‰开始,在+2‰和+6‰之间变化,最上部为+2‰;棱里组从下到上从0降至-7‰;坪山组在-3.1‰~0‰之间变化;中和组基本上在-1.2‰^+1.9‰范围变化。这些数据表明,原先认为有冰碛岩的飞浪洞组可能没有记录Gaskiers冰期;棱里组δ13C值与Gaskiers或Marinoan等冰期不可对比,而可能对应于埃迪卡拉系最末期的负漂移。通过将平南盆地燕滩群-黄州群地层碳同位素值变化趋势与国际地层对比,明确地层时代属于埃迪卡拉系末期-下寒武统;由于不存在明确的的不整合,燕滩群-黄州群地层可以作为这一时期连续剖面。我们认为黄州群坪山组底部含磷、含金属硫化物黑色板岩可以作为界线标志层。 展开更多
