This forum was organized by the Guangzho...On March 20, 2007, over 130 experts in lighting protection from China, Japanand Korea gathered in Guangzhou to attend the 4th Asia Lighting Protection and StandardizationForum. This forum was organized by the Guangzhou Lighting Protection Center and jointly sponsored bythe Guangzhou Meteorological Administration and the National Technical Commission ofStandardization for Lighting Protecti6n. Mr. Chen Guo, the vice mayor of Guangzhou, delivered aspeech at the forum's opening ceremony. In his speech, he noted that this forum is very important tothe furthering of trilateral cooperation with regard to the economy, science and technology, andculture of the three main participating countries. In particular, he added, as the geographies andclimates of these areas are similar, lighting protection is very important in the summer and duringthe rainy season. For these reasons, standardization plays an indispensable role in the researchtechnology and product development of lighting protection.展开更多
