Background The prevalence rate of hypertension has progressively increased over the years; and if undiagnosed or remains uncontrolled for a long period, it is often accompanied by end organ damage involving the retina, brain, kidney, heart and arteries. Hypertensive nephropathy, a conse- quence of microvascular damage to the kidneys, has become more prevalent and ranks high among the causes of chronic renal failure. Due to its concealment by a normal renal function, which is the traditional assay for kidney dysfunction, and a lack of obvious clinical symptoms, hypertensive ne- phropathy is often diagnosed late. The utility of microalbuminuria, a sensitive biomarker for the clinical evaluation of glomerular injury and early prediction of hypertensive renal damage has been evaluated by several studies. Several nursing interventions can slow the progression of renal injury in hypertensive patients, yet this clinical approach remains unharmed. Methods From April 2015 to January 2016, 216 hypertensive patients from our hospital, comprising 110 males and 106 fe- males, were recruited according to the JNC VII criteria. The patients were divided into two groups: experimental group and control group, one group comprising 58 males and 50 females, the other group comprising 60 males and 48 females. Microalbuminuria testing conducted and a survey of knowledge and treatment compliance for renal impairment was assessed with a structured standard- ized questionnaire before any nursing interventions. Early nursing interventions including psycho- logical nursing, diet nursing, exercise guidance were instituted and retesting done for comparative analysis for experimental group. Results Before nursing intervention the hypertensive renal impair- ment cognitive differences between two groups of patients had no statistical significance (P 〉 0.05). Through nursing interventions, urine microalbumin detection decreased from 43% to 35%, and the awareness of early renal injury improved albumin decrease by 91% and renal impairment reversal was significantly higher than that of the control group (P 〈 0.01). Conclusion In hyperten- sive patients, routine microalbuminuria testing improves early detection of hypertensive nephropa- thy, and a systematic nursing intervention is associated with a reduction in microalbuminuria hence delays the progression of renal damage. 展开更多

Objective:To evaluate the improvement of dysphagia and the daily amounts of oral fluids served among people who had recently experienced a cerebrovascular stroke(CVS)after applying a nursing intervention protocol. Methods:A quasi-experimental design was used to examine 60 stroke patients who were randomly and alternatively divided equally into a study group and a control group.Gugging Swallowing Screen(GUSS)and fluid balance chart were used.Within the first 24 h of a patient’s admission, expert nurses were trained in nursing intervention protocol to manage dysphagia and daily oral fluids.Results:Post-nursing intervention, the severity of dysphagia decreased among the study group more than in the control group.Additionally, the study group began taking greater amounts of fluids by the oral route than before the nursing intervention. Conclusions:A standardized nursing intervention protocol is needed to decrease the severity of dysphagia after CVS and increase the amount of daily oral fluids. The presence of a structured theory-based nursing intervention protocol for dysphagia management will greatly contribute to decreasing the consequences of dysphagia after CVS,and can also be expected to attenuate the effects of aspiration pneumonia, dehydration, and malnutrition;further,it also increases adherence to the protocol by both nurses and patients. 展开更多

As a stressor, cardiac surgery affects the physiology and psychology of patients,as well as their postoperative recovery.Patients tend to worry about cognitive deficiency, pain, discomfort, the risk of death, sleep, complications, and other factors, resulting in stress and anxiety. Moreover, serious adverse events, such as circulatory and respiratory dysfunction and infection, tend to occur after cardiac surgery and increase the economic burden on patients. Therefore, appropriate nursing interventions should be selected to strengthen patients’cognitive levels, compliance, and postoperative practices to accelerate their recovery, reduce complications, and shorten hospital stays so as to contribute to patients’lives and health. 展开更多

Objective:To study and analyze the clinical effect of continuous nursing in the process of postoperative rehabilitation for patients with craniocerebral trauma. Methods:From August 2018 to July 2021,40 patients who came to our hospital for craniocerebral trauma treatment were randomly selected as clinical experimental research objects, and they were divided into continuous nursing group and routine nursing group. The rehabilitation of patients in the two groups before and after postoperative nursing was observed and counted. Results:Before nursing intervention, there was no significant difference in MMSE score and Fugl-Meyer score between the two groups,p>0.05.After nursing, the scores were scored again at 3 and 6 months after nursing. It was found that the two groups were improved, but the improvement range in the continuous nursing group was significantly higher than that in the routine nursing group, the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).From the score of quality of life, the scores of physical pain, psychological function, mental health and social function in the continuous nursing group were better than those in the routine nursing group, the difference was statistically significant(p<0.05).Conclusion:Using continuous nursing measures for rehabilitation nursing of patients with craniocerebral trauma after discharge can significantly improve the quality of life of patients, restore the mental state and limb function of patients, and has significant clinical effect. 展开更多
