Rail transit plays a key role in mitigating transportation system carbon emissions.Accurate measurement of urban rail transit carbon emission can help quantify the contribution of urban rail transit towards urban tran...Rail transit plays a key role in mitigating transportation system carbon emissions.Accurate measurement of urban rail transit carbon emission can help quantify the contribution of urban rail transit towards urban transportation carbon emission reduction.Since the whole life cycle of urban rail transit carbon emission measurement involves a wide range of aspects,a systematic framework model is required for analysis.This research reviews the existing studies on carbon emission of urban rail transit.First,the characteristics of urban rail transit carbon emission were determined and the complexity of carbon emission measurement was analyzed.Then,the urban rail transit carbon emission measurement models were compared and analyzed in terms of the selection of research boundaries,the types of greenhouse gas(GHG)emissions calculation,and the accuracy of the measurement.Following that,an intelligent station was introduced to analyze the practical application of digital collaboration technology and energy-saving and carbon-reducing system platforms for rail transit.Finally,the urgent problems and future research directions at this stage were discussed.This research presents the necessity of establishing a dynamic carbon emission factor library and the important development trend of system integration of carbon emission measurement and digital system technology.展开更多
Black carbon(BC)is considered the second largest anthropogenic climate forcer,but the radiative effects of BC are highly correlated with its combustion sources.On-road vehicles are an important source of anthropogenic...Black carbon(BC)is considered the second largest anthropogenic climate forcer,but the radiative effects of BC are highly correlated with its combustion sources.On-road vehicles are an important source of anthropogenic BC.However,there are major uncertainties in the estimates of the BC emissions from on-road light-duty passenger vehicles(LDPVs),and results obtained with the portable emissions measurement system(PEMS)method are particularly lacking.We developed a PEMS platform and evaluated the on-road BC emissions from ten in-use LDPVs.We demonstrated that the BC emission factors(EFs)of gasoline direction injection(GDI)engine vehicles range from 1.10 to 1.56 mg.km^(-1),which are higher than the EFs of port fuel injection(PFI)engine vehicles(0.10–0.17 mg.km^(-1))by a factor of 11.The BC emissions during the cold-start phase contributed 2%–33%to the total emissions.A strong correlation(R^(2)=0.70)was observed between the relative BC EFs and average vehicle speed,indicating that traffic congestion alleviation could effectively mitigate BC emissions.Moreover,BC and particle number(PN)emissions were linearly correlated(R^(2)=0.90),and compared to PFI engine vehicles,the instantaneous PN-to-BC emission rates of GDI engine vehicles were less sensitive to vehicle specific power-to-velocity(VSPV)increase in all speed ranges.展开更多
The regulated gaseous emissions from 2 China-V compressed natural gas(CNG)buses and 2 China-V diesel buses were investigated using a portable emissions measurement system(PEMS)under real road driving conditions.Compar...The regulated gaseous emissions from 2 China-V compressed natural gas(CNG)buses and 2 China-V diesel buses were investigated using a portable emissions measurement system(PEMS)under real road driving conditions.Compared to diesel buses,CNG buses emit less NOx pollutants,but more HC and CO pollutants based on the test results obtained in this paper.In order to evaluate the pollutant emission status of CNG buses in Beijing,an instantaneous emission model as a function of vehicle speed and vehicle specific power(VSP)was developed and validated based on emission data taken from one CNG bus.The input of the instantaneous emission model consists of driving cycle,vehicle parameters,road conditions,ambient conditions and accessory use,all of which were used to calculate the instantaneous vehicle specific power(VSP).For the core model,a group of pollutant emission maps represented as functions of vehicle speed and VSP were used to calculate the second by second emission rates.Finally,the instantaneous emission rates,emission factors and fuel consumption over the selected driving cycle could be obtained as the model outputs.The predicted results for the emissions and fuel consumption of the CNG bus were very close to the tested emission data.The prediction errors for emission factors and fuel consumption varied in the range of-1.6 2%to-5.8%.展开更多

Due to its high oxygen content, biodiesel typically burns more completely than petroleum diesel, and thus has lower emissions of hydrocarbons (HC), carbon monoxide (CO), and particulate matter (PM). However, biodiesel may increase or decrease nitrogen oxide (NOx) and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, depending on biodiesel feedstock, engine type, and test cycle. The purpose of this study was to compare emissions from 20% blends of biodiesel made from 4 feedstocks (soybean oil, canola oil, waste cooking oil, and animal fat) with emissions from ultra low sulfur diesel (ULSD). Emissions of NOx and CO2 were made under real-world driving conditions using a Horiba On-Board Measurement System OBS-1300 on a highway route and arterial route;emissions of NOx, CO2, HC, CO, and PM were measured in a controlled setting using a chassis dynamometer with Urban Dynamometer Drive Schedule. Dynamometer test results showed statistically significant lower emissions of HC, CO, and PM from all B20 blends compared to ULSD. For CO2, both on-road testing (arterial, highway, and idling) and dynamometer testing showed no statistically significant difference in emissions among the B20 blends and ULSD. For NOx, dynamometer testing showed only B20 from soybean oil to have statistically significant higher emissions. This is generally consistent with the on-road testing, which showed no statistically significant difference in NOx emissions between ULSD and the B20 blends.展开更多

In this study, a novel signal processing method for multicomponent analysis (MCA) was used to measure the amplitude and delay of the SFOAE. This report shows the delay-frequency distribution of the SFOAE measured from the human ear. A low level acoustical suppressor near the probe tone significantly suppressed the SFOAE, strongly indicating that the SFOAE was generated at characteristic frequency locations. Information derived from this method may reveal more details of cochlear mechanics in the human ear.展开更多
According to the logic process of carbon reduction in China which arises from the measurement to reduction,from reduction to offsetting,the measurement of carbon emission in the tourism industry was the first and key ...According to the logic process of carbon reduction in China which arises from the measurement to reduction,from reduction to offsetting,the measurement of carbon emission in the tourism industry was the first and key step.Based on the life cycle assessment theory and input-output analysis,this article used economic and environmental measurement technologies,The System of National Accounting(SNA),Tourism Satellite Account(TSA),System of Integrated Environment and Economic Accounting(SEEA),and so on,and built up a top-down carbon emission analysis framework for the tourism industry and estimated carbon emission of the tourism industry in China in 2007.The finding showed that the total carbon emission of the tourism industry in China in 2007 was 169.78 million tons,covering 2.71%of carbon emission of all industries in China in 2007,and 2.44%of the total carbon emission in China in 2007.The direct carbon emission of the tourism industry in China in 2007 was 73.56 million tons,including transportation(50.14 million tons),sightseeing(1.33 million tons),lodging(4.19 million tons),accommodation(4.73 million tons),shopping(8.14 million tons),entertainment(0.67 million tons),communication(0.45 million tons),and others(3.90 million tons).The indirect carbon emission of the tourism industry in China in 2007 was 96.23 million tons,mostly contributed by coking,gas,and petroleum processing industries,transportation and warehousing industry,machinery and equipment manufacturing industry,and food manufacturing and tobacco processing industry,which covered 57%.展开更多

The current-voltage curves of nano-tip tungsten and carbon nanotube (CNT) arrays were measured. The electron emission of CNTs proceeded with a turn-on field of 1.24 V/μm and a threshold field of 1.85 V/μm. Compared to the field emission, field ionization turned on at 3.5 V/μm. Raman spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) measurements showed degradation of the CNTs after FE/FI testing. The measurement of a W-tip revealed strong electron emission and instability behavior at a field strength higher than 7.0 V/μm.展开更多

This paper presents a carbon fibre cathode which is tested in a single pulsed power generator. The distribution and the development of cathode plasma are observed by time-and-space resolved diagnostics, and the uniformity of electron beam density is checked by taking x-ray images. A quasistationary behaviour of cathode plasma expansion is observed. It is found that the uniformity of the extracted electron beam is satisfactory in spite of individual plasma jets on the cathode surface. These results show that carbon fibre cathodes can provide a positive prospect for developing a high-quality electron beam.展开更多
The building sector plays a crucial role in the worldwide shift toward achieving net-zero emissions.Building energy efficiency standards(BEESs)are highly effective policies for reducing carbon emissions.Therefore,expl...The building sector plays a crucial role in the worldwide shift toward achieving net-zero emissions.Building energy efficiency standards(BEESs)are highly effective policies for reducing carbon emissions.Therefore,exploring the provincial variations in carbon emission efficiency(CEE)in the building sector and identifying the effect of BEESs on CEE is crucial.This study focuses on commercial buildings in China and applies a difference in differences model to evaluate the impact of BEESs on the CEE of commercial buildings.The slacks-based measure–data envelopment analysis model is employed to assess the CEE of commercial buildings in 30 Chinese provinces from 2000 to 2019.Furthermore,heterogeneous tests are used to explore how climate characteristics and economic conditions affect the efficiency of BEESs.The results indicate that BEESs positively influence the CEE of commercial buildings.Specifically,a 1%increase in the intensity of BEESs causes a 0.1484%increase in the CEE of commercial buildings.Moreover,the impact of BEESs is particularly pronounced in the southern and western provinces.This study provides valuable scientific evidence for governments to enhance BEESs implementation.展开更多

Ho...The volume emission rate (VER) of airglow can be used to investigate atmospheric processes. Satellite-based limb measurement of atmosphere is able to obtain the VER profile of airglow with high vertical resolution. However, the traditional one-dimensional retrieval techniques for VER inversion fail to retrieve horizontal structure of VER profile. Thus, the tomographic technique based on the maximum probability is applied to retrieving two-dimensional VER profile of airglow from infrared limb measurement. This technique could process the observed data with low signal-to-noise ratio caused by the observation angle of less than 180° due to the solid nature of the Earth. For saving the processing time and improving the computing speed of VER inversion, serial tables for storing the large sparse matrix for radiance simulation and a large dataset during iterative estimate of VER are presented. The index and weighting factor of line of sight (LOS) through each grid are saved in initial estimate to avoid being computed repeatedly. Furthermore, the product of observed radiance and corresponding weighting factor obtained in initial iteration is stored as weighted observed radiance for the iterative calculation subsequently. Based on the improved algorithm, the VER of airglow is inversed through the tomographic technique. The full width of half maximum (FWHM) of error is 1.78% and the offset of the peak percentage error is 0.22% after 40 iterations for final VER. Comparison of assumed and retrieved VER profiles suggests that VER can be retrieved with a bias of 15% between 10 km and 90 km above the LayerMin (6384 km from the Earth center), and with a bias of 8% for altitude from 30 km to 60 km with vertical resolution of 1 km after 40 iterations. After improvements, the computation speed of VER inversion for once can be improved by 29.6 times for 700 images of 1/3 orbit, and accordingly, the processing time will be reduced from 3 hours and 11 minutes to only 6 minutes. In conclusion, the improvements to tomographic inversion of VER of airglow proposed in this paper are effective and significant.展开更多

The mercury and its speciation concentrations including participate mercuryat three locations of before air preheater, before electrostatic precipitator (ESP) and after ESPwere measured using the OHM and SCEM methods under normal operation conditions of the boiler systemas a result of firing a bituminous coal. The vapor-phase total mercury Hg(VT) concentration declinedwith the decrease of flue gas temperature because of mercury species transformation from oxidizedmercury to particulate mercury as the flue gas moved downstream from the air preheater to the ESPand after the ESP. A good agreement for Hg°, Hg^(2+) and Hg( VT) was obtained between the twomethods in the ash-free area. But in the dense particle-laden flue gas area, there appeared to be abig bias for mercury speciation owing to dust cake formed in the filter of OHM sampling probe. Increased attentions to vehicle emission of NH_(3)have been paid since it is generally regarded as an important source in urban areas.Here,we developed a movable instrument based on Differential Optical Absorption Spe...Increased attentions to vehicle emission of NH_(3)have been paid since it is generally regarded as an important source in urban areas.Here,we developed a movable instrument based on Differential Optical Absorption Spectroscopy(DOAS)principle for detecting on-road NH_(3),which can avoid the losses in the sampling process attributed to the non-sampling methods.For this mobile DOAS,the temporal resolution,detection limit and relative error for NH_(3)were 1 min,2.29 ppbv and 4.57%±2.44%,respectively.By employed to the on-road measurements along the arterial highway in Shanghai,the spatial distributions of NH_(3)and NO were obtained,and their dependence of traffic and road conditions were studied.The slopes of linear regression between NH_(3)and NO were 0.40,0.02 and 0.07 on the Middle Ring Road,Outer Ring Road and Chongming Island Ring Road.It indicates that light gasoline vehicles(LGVs)were found to be the main contributor to NH_(3)emissions,while heavy-duty diesel vehicles(HDVs)mainly emitted NO.Based on the measured NH_(3)in the tunnel,the mileagebased NH_(3)emission factor per vehicle was estimated to be 17.9±6.3 mg/km.The reported open-path instrument can be broadly used in on-road pollutant monitoring or vehicle emissions,and the measurements can reveal the real situation of emission characteristics,even find the abnormal operations of vehicle catalyst system.展开更多

The use of energy conservation emission reduction policies to promote industrial restructuring and upgrading and thus facilitate energy conservation and emission reduction is one of the important strategies of environmental management in China. Based on the systematic collection of 1,195 energy conservation emission reduction policies, we discuss the influence of individual measure and measure synergy of energy conservation and emission reduction policies respectively. The results show that the energy conservation and emission reduction policies have a significant effect on the overall promotion of industrial upgrading. The financial measures and guidance measures have a positive impact;the financial measures and guidance measures have significantly positive effect; however, the administrative measures, fiscal tax measures, and other economic measures do the opposite; the positive effect of the synergy of guidance measures and financial measures is greater than the negative effect of considering only the synergy of fiscal tax measures and other economic measures, and significantly greater than the negative effect of the synergy of administrative measures, fiscal tax measures, and other economic measures. We should strengthen and emphasize the use of the measure that has positive effect on industrial structure restructuring and upgrading individually and synergistically.展开更多
The daily median ground surface flux densities per day from a continuously operating photomultiplier tube unit for four years in Sudbury, Ontario are presented for December 2010 to December 2014. Increases of about 2 ...The daily median ground surface flux densities per day from a continuously operating photomultiplier tube unit for four years in Sudbury, Ontario are presented for December 2010 to December 2014. Increases of about 2 to 4 PMT units (1 unit = 5 × 10-11 W·m-2) for median daily measures reliably occurred about two weeks before M ≥ 7.7 earthquakes anywhere on the planet. The PMT units, until June 2014, usually returned to baseline within a few days after the events. There has been a slow positive drift in flux power density since about 2012 and a conspicuous maintained increase after May, 2014. The equivalent energy per day if it were represented isotropically within the volume occupied by the earth is the same order of magnitude as the average daily global total seismic energy release. Spectral power densities revealed enhanced peaks (periodicities) between 100 to 150 days, 60 days, 30 days, and 25 days. Discriminable peaks in power were noted around 18 days, 14 days, and 4 to 6 days. These results suggest that continuous measurement of photonemissions within hyper-dark conditions may reveal geophysical processes that precede larger seismic events and could reflect the movement of the earth-solar system around the galactic center.展开更多
The linear motor applied in electromagnetic emission system uses a closed loop position control strategy,which needs a set of position measurement system with high reliability,high resolution and integration to achiev...The linear motor applied in electromagnetic emission system uses a closed loop position control strategy,which needs a set of position measurement system with high reliability,high resolution and integration to achieve real-time acquisition and analysis of position signals.The existing position controller is based on the simple logic chip design without memory function,and does not have the storage analysis and preprocessing function to position signals.Therefore,the system has insufficient scalability,low integration and reliability.Aiming at the improvement of the existing position measurement system,an intelligent position measurement system integrating the functions of position signals acquisition,processing and uploading,data storage and analysis is proposed in this paper,and its working principle and system composition are discussed in detail.The position,speed and acceleration obtained on the electromagnetic emission platform are in good agreement with the expected value of the system.As results,the feasibility and accuracy of the improved integrated intelligent position measurement system are verified,and the control performance of the system is also satisfied well,which can be good guidance and reference for subsequent engineering practice.展开更多

Due to its high oxygen content, biodiesel typically burns more completely than petroleum diesel, and thus has lower emissions of hydrocarbons (HC), carbon monoxide (CO), and particulate matter (PM). However, biodiesel may increase or decrease nitrogen oxide (NOx) and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, depending on biodiesel feedstock, engine type, and test cycle. The purpose of this study was to compare emissions from 20% blends of biodiesel made from 4 feedstocks (soybean oil, canola oil, waste cooking oil, and animal fat) with emissions from ultra low sulfur diesel (ULSD). Emissions of NOx and CO2 were made under real-world driving conditions using a Horiba On-Board Measurement System OBS-1300 on a highway route and arterial route;emissions of NOx, CO2, HC, CO, and PM were measured in a controlled setting using a chassis dynamometer with Urban Dynamometer Drive Schedule. Dynamometer test results showed statistically significant lower emissions of HC, CO, and PM from all B20 blends compared to ULSD. For CO2, both on-road testing (arterial, highway, and idling) and dynamometer testing showed no statistically significant difference in emissions among the B20 blends and ULSD. For NOx, dynamometer testing showed only B20 from soybean oil to have statistically significant higher emissions. This is generally consistent with the on-road testing, which showed no statistically significant difference in NOx emissions between ULSD and the B20 blends.

文摘Although stimulus frequency otoacoustic emissions (SFOAEs) have been used as a non-invasive measure of cochlear mechanics, clinical and experimental application of SFOAEs has been limited by difficulties in accurately deriving quantitative information from sound pressure measured in the ear canal. In this study, a novel signal processing method for multicomponent analysis (MCA) was used to measure the amplitude and delay of the SFOAE. This report shows the delay-frequency distribution of the SFOAE measured from the human ear. A low level acoustical suppressor near the probe tone significantly suppressed the SFOAE, strongly indicating that the SFOAE was generated at characteristic frequency locations. Information derived from this method may reveal more details of cochlear mechanics in the human ear.

文摘According to the logic process of carbon reduction in China which arises from the measurement to reduction,from reduction to offsetting,the measurement of carbon emission in the tourism industry was the first and key step.Based on the life cycle assessment theory and input-output analysis,this article used economic and environmental measurement technologies,The System of National Accounting(SNA),Tourism Satellite Account(TSA),System of Integrated Environment and Economic Accounting(SEEA),and so on,and built up a top-down carbon emission analysis framework for the tourism industry and estimated carbon emission of the tourism industry in China in 2007.The finding showed that the total carbon emission of the tourism industry in China in 2007 was 169.78 million tons,covering 2.71%of carbon emission of all industries in China in 2007,and 2.44%of the total carbon emission in China in 2007.The direct carbon emission of the tourism industry in China in 2007 was 73.56 million tons,including transportation(50.14 million tons),sightseeing(1.33 million tons),lodging(4.19 million tons),accommodation(4.73 million tons),shopping(8.14 million tons),entertainment(0.67 million tons),communication(0.45 million tons),and others(3.90 million tons).The indirect carbon emission of the tourism industry in China in 2007 was 96.23 million tons,mostly contributed by coking,gas,and petroleum processing industries,transportation and warehousing industry,machinery and equipment manufacturing industry,and food manufacturing and tobacco processing industry,which covered 57%.

文摘Time-resolved measurement of atomic emission enhancement is performed by using a 500-fs KrF laser pulse incident upon a high density supersonic O2 gas jet, synchronized with an orthogonal ns frequency-doubled Nd:YAG laser pulse. The ultra-short pulse serves as an igniter of the gas jet, and the subsequent ns-laser pulse significantly enhances the atomic emission. Analysis shows that the contributions to the enhancement effect are made mainly by the bremsstrahlung radiation and cascade ionization.

Besides fossil fuel combustion, human respiration and biomass burning are important sources. 文摘A microcomputerized measurement system is developed.This system automatically acquiresan I-V characteristic curve in 5 seconds with the accuracy of 0.05% FSR(full scale range).The Schottkyextrapolation field-free emission,the inflection-point emission,the flection-point emission,the average effec-tive work function.the Richardson work function,the work function distribution at the operation tempera-ture and other important information that reflects properties of cathodes are obtained by this system.The re-sults of analysing four types of cathodes demonstrate that this system is very suitable for measuring the activi-ty changes of the cathode in the processes of activation,ageing,poisoning and life test.It is proved that thissystem can also be used to monitor the actlvity of the cathode in the assembled tube by measuring a gridcontrolled travelling-wave tube.

文摘We have developed a computerized system for measuring field electron emission (FE) and field ionization (FI), which has a three-electrode configuration with emitters biased up to 25 kV, and is programmed by the Labview software. The current-voltage curves of nano-tip tungsten and carbon nanotube (CNT) arrays were measured. The electron emission of CNTs proceeded with a turn-on field of 1.24 V/μm and a threshold field of 1.85 V/μm. Compared to the field emission, field ionization turned on at 3.5 V/μm. Raman spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) measurements showed degradation of the CNTs after FE/FI testing. The measurement of a W-tip revealed strong electron emission and instability behavior at a field strength higher than 7.0 V/μm.

文摘The remaining challenges, confronting high-power microwave (HPM) sources and pulsed power generators, stim- ulate the developments of robust relativistic electron beam sources. This paper presents a carbon fibre cathode which is tested in a single pulsed power generator. The distribution and the development of cathode plasma are observed by time-and-space resolved diagnostics, and the uniformity of electron beam density is checked by taking x-ray images. A quasistationary behaviour of cathode plasma expansion is observed. It is found that the uniformity of the extracted electron beam is satisfactory in spite of individual plasma jets on the cathode surface. These results show that carbon fibre cathodes can provide a positive prospect for developing a high-quality electron beam.

文摘The building sector plays a crucial role in the worldwide shift toward achieving net-zero emissions.Building energy efficiency standards(BEESs)are highly effective policies for reducing carbon emissions.Therefore,exploring the provincial variations in carbon emission efficiency(CEE)in the building sector and identifying the effect of BEESs on CEE is crucial.This study focuses on commercial buildings in China and applies a difference in differences model to evaluate the impact of BEESs on the CEE of commercial buildings.The slacks-based measure–data envelopment analysis model is employed to assess the CEE of commercial buildings in 30 Chinese provinces from 2000 to 2019.Furthermore,heterogeneous tests are used to explore how climate characteristics and economic conditions affect the efficiency of BEESs.The results indicate that BEESs positively influence the CEE of commercial buildings.Specifically,a 1%increase in the intensity of BEESs causes a 0.1484%increase in the CEE of commercial buildings.Moreover,the impact of BEESs is particularly pronounced in the southern and western provinces.This study provides valuable scientific evidence for governments to enhance BEESs implementation.

文摘The volume emission rate (VER) of airglow can be used to investigate atmospheric processes. Satellite-based limb measurement of atmosphere is able to obtain the VER profile of airglow with high vertical resolution. However, the traditional one-dimensional retrieval techniques for VER inversion fail to retrieve horizontal structure of VER profile. Thus, the tomographic technique based on the maximum probability is applied to retrieving two-dimensional VER profile of airglow from infrared limb measurement. This technique could process the observed data with low signal-to-noise ratio caused by the observation angle of less than 180° due to the solid nature of the Earth. For saving the processing time and improving the computing speed of VER inversion, serial tables for storing the large sparse matrix for radiance simulation and a large dataset during iterative estimate of VER are presented. The index and weighting factor of line of sight (LOS) through each grid are saved in initial estimate to avoid being computed repeatedly. Furthermore, the product of observed radiance and corresponding weighting factor obtained in initial iteration is stored as weighted observed radiance for the iterative calculation subsequently. Based on the improved algorithm, the VER of airglow is inversed through the tomographic technique. The full width of half maximum (FWHM) of error is 1.78% and the offset of the peak percentage error is 0.22% after 40 iterations for final VER. Comparison of assumed and retrieved VER profiles suggests that VER can be retrieved with a bias of 15% between 10 km and 90 km above the LayerMin (6384 km from the Earth center), and with a bias of 8% for altitude from 30 km to 60 km with vertical resolution of 1 km after 40 iterations. After improvements, the computation speed of VER inversion for once can be improved by 29.6 times for 700 images of 1/3 orbit, and accordingly, the processing time will be reduced from 3 hours and 11 minutes to only 6 minutes. In conclusion, the improvements to tomographic inversion of VER of airglow proposed in this paper are effective and significant.
文摘A cold floating probe method was compared with the emissive floating probe method in terms of a low-pressure radio-frequency inductive discharge.The dependences of difference between the plasma potential and the floating potential on the electron temperature 1-8 eV,plasma density 109-1012 cm 3 and magnetic field 100-650 G were obtained.It was demonstrated that the difference between the potentials that obtained by these two methods can differ significantly from the expected value of 5.2 kTe/e for argon.
文摘The in-situ instrumentation technique for measuring mercury and itsspeciation downstream a utility 100 MW pulverized coal (PC) fired boiler system was developed andconducted by the use of the Ontario hydro method (OHM) consistent with American standard test methodtogether with the semi-continuous emissions monitoring (SCEM) system as well as a mobile laboratoryfor mercury monitoring. The mercury and its speciation concentrations including participate mercuryat three locations of before air preheater, before electrostatic precipitator (ESP) and after ESPwere measured using the OHM and SCEM methods under normal operation conditions of the boiler systemas a result of firing a bituminous coal. The vapor-phase total mercury Hg(VT) concentration declinedwith the decrease of flue gas temperature because of mercury species transformation from oxidizedmercury to particulate mercury as the flue gas moved downstream from the air preheater to the ESPand after the ESP. A good agreement for Hg°, Hg^(2+) and Hg( VT) was obtained between the twomethods in the ash-free area. But in the dense particle-laden flue gas area, there appeared to be abig bias for mercury speciation owing to dust cake formed in the filter of OHM sampling probe. Theparticulateaffinity to the flue gas mercury and the impacts of sampling condition to accuracy ofmeasure were discussed.

文摘Increased attentions to vehicle emission of NH_(3)have been paid since it is generally regarded as an important source in urban areas.Here,we developed a movable instrument based on Differential Optical Absorption Spectroscopy(DOAS)principle for detecting on-road NH_(3),which can avoid the losses in the sampling process attributed to the non-sampling methods.For this mobile DOAS,the temporal resolution,detection limit and relative error for NH_(3)were 1 min,2.29 ppbv and 4.57%±2.44%,respectively.By employed to the on-road measurements along the arterial highway in Shanghai,the spatial distributions of NH_(3)and NO were obtained,and their dependence of traffic and road conditions were studied.The slopes of linear regression between NH_(3)and NO were 0.40,0.02 and 0.07 on the Middle Ring Road,Outer Ring Road and Chongming Island Ring Road.It indicates that light gasoline vehicles(LGVs)were found to be the main contributor to NH_(3)emissions,while heavy-duty diesel vehicles(HDVs)mainly emitted NO.Based on the measured NH_(3)in the tunnel,the mileagebased NH_(3)emission factor per vehicle was estimated to be 17.9±6.3 mg/km.The reported open-path instrument can be broadly used in on-road pollutant monitoring or vehicle emissions,and the measurements can reveal the real situation of emission characteristics,even find the abnormal operations of vehicle catalyst system.
文摘The use of energy conservation emission reduction policies to promote industrial restructuring and upgrading and thus facilitate energy conservation and emission reduction is one of the 10 important strategies of environmental management in China. The use of energy conservation emission reduction policies to promote industrial restructuring and upgrading and thus facilitate energy conservation and emission reduction is one of the important strategies of environmental management in China. Based on the systematic collection of 1,195 energy conservation emission reduction policies, we discuss the influence of individual measure and measure synergy of energy conservation and emission reduction policies respectively. The results show that the energy conservation and emission reduction policies have a significant effect on the overall promotion of industrial upgrading. The financial measures and guidance measures have a positive impact;the financial measures and guidance measures have significantly positive effect; however, the administrative measures, fiscal tax measures, and other economic measures do the opposite; the positive effect of the synergy of guidance measures and financial measures is greater than the negative effect of considering only the synergy of fiscal tax measures and other economic measures, and significantly greater than the negative effect of the synergy of administrative measures, fiscal tax measures, and other economic measures. We should strengthen and emphasize the use of the measure that has positive effect on industrial structure restructuring and upgrading individually and synergistically.
文摘The daily median ground surface flux densities per day from a continuously operating photomultiplier tube unit for four years in Sudbury, Ontario are presented for December 2010 to December 2014. Increases of about 2 to 4 PMT units (1 unit = 5 × 10-11 W·m-2) for median daily measures reliably occurred about two weeks before M ≥ 7.7 earthquakes anywhere on the planet. The PMT units, until June 2014, usually returned to baseline within a few days after the events. There has been a slow positive drift in flux power density since about 2012 and a conspicuous maintained increase after May, 2014. The equivalent energy per day if it were represented isotropically within the volume occupied by the earth is the same order of magnitude as the average daily global total seismic energy release. Spectral power densities revealed enhanced peaks (periodicities) between 100 to 150 days, 60 days, 30 days, and 25 days. Discriminable peaks in power were noted around 18 days, 14 days, and 4 to 6 days. These results suggest that continuous measurement of photonemissions within hyper-dark conditions may reveal geophysical processes that precede larger seismic events and could reflect the movement of the earth-solar system around the galactic center.

文摘The linear motor applied in electromagnetic emission system uses a closed loop position control strategy,which needs a set of position measurement system with high reliability,high resolution and integration to achieve real-time acquisition and analysis of position signals.The existing position controller is based on the simple logic chip design without memory function,and does not have the storage analysis and preprocessing function to position signals.Therefore,the system has insufficient scalability,low integration and reliability.Aiming at the improvement of the existing position measurement system,an intelligent position measurement system integrating the functions of position signals acquisition,processing and uploading,data storage and analysis is proposed in this paper,and its working principle and system composition are discussed in detail.The position,speed and acceleration obtained on the electromagnetic emission platform are in good agreement with the expected value of the system.As results,the feasibility and accuracy of the improved integrated intelligent position measurement system are verified,and the control performance of the system is also satisfied well,which can be good guidance and reference for subsequent engineering practice.
