In order to boost contributions of power systems to a low-carbon economy,the installed capacity of renewable power generation,such as wind and photovoltaic(PV)power generation should be well planned.A bilevel formulation is presented to optimize the proportion of wind and PV capacity in provincial power systems,in which,carbon emissions of generator units and features of renewable resources are taken into account.In the lowerlevel formulation,a time-sequence production simulation(TSPS)model that is suitable for actual power system has been adopted.In order to maximize benefits of energy conservation and emissions reduction resulting from renewable power generation,the commercial software called General Algebraic Modeling System(GAMS)is employed to optimize the annual operation of the power system.In the upper-level formulation,the optimal pattern search(OPS)algorithm is utilized to optimize the proportion of wind and PV capacity.The objective of the upper-level formulation is to maximize benefits of energy conservation and carbon emissions reductions optimized in the lowerlevel problem.Simulation results in practical provincial power systems validate the proposed model and corresponding solving algorithms.The optimization results can provide support to policy makers to make the polices related to renewable energy. 展开更多

Reducing NO_(x) emission of iron ore sintering process in a cost effective manner is a challenge for the iron and steel industry at present.Effects of the proportion of mill scale and coke breeze on the NO_(x) emission,strength of sinter,and sinter indexes were studied by com-bustion and sinter pot tests.Results showed that the peak value of NO concentration,total of NO emission,and fuel-N conversion rate gradu-ally decreased as the proportions of the mill scale increased because NO was reduced to N_(2) by Fe_(3)O_(4),FeO,and Fe in the mill scale.The strength of sinter reached the highest value at 8.0wt%mill scale due to the formation of minerals with low melting point.The fuel-N conver-sion rate slightly fluctuated and total NO_(x) emission significantly decreased with the decreased proportions of coke breeze because CO forma-tion and content of N element in the sintered mixture decreased.However,the sinter strength also decreased due to the decrease in the amount of the melting minerals.Furthermore,results of the sinter pot tests indicated that NO_(x) emission decreased.The sinter indexes performed well when the proportions of mill scale and coke breeze were 8.0wt%and 3.70wt%respectively in the sintered mixture. 展开更多

Tailings known as solid waste are generated by the mining industry.The development of tailings as wet shotcrete aggregates has significant economic and environmental benefits.The fine particle size of the tailings results in a large consumption of traditional cement as a cementitious material and insignificant improvement in strength.Therefore,a composite cementitious system of cement and solid waste resources(fly ash and slag powder)is explored for this study.In this paper,the response surface methodology(RSM)is used to optimize the experimental design and a multivariate nonlinear response model with cement,fly ash and slag powder contents as variables are constructed,which can investigate the effect of the composite cementitious system on the strength of tailing wet shotcrete(TWSC).In addition,the information entropy(IE)is introduced and combined with the RSM to evaluate the composite cementitious system.Finally,the desirability function(DF)combined with RSM is used to optimize the composite cementitious system.The results show that the response model constructed in this paper has R^(2)=0.96 and P-value<0.01(the test result of the model is P-value<0.01),which indicates that the model has high reliability.The higher the content of slag powder and cement in the composite cementitious system,the higher the strength and comprehensive score of the TWSC.There is a critical value of fly ash content,which makes the maximum cementation of the composite cementing system.The optimal mix proportion of the composite cementitious system is obtained based on RSM-DF,which leads to the strength of TWSC at different curing time to achieve the expected index. 展开更多

A strong tracking Kalman filter was designed for the strapdown homing guidance system using the information measured by the strapdown homing seeker to estimate relative movement variables between the ammunition and target. Then the optimal proportional law, which using the estimated information, guided the ammunition. Simulation results show that the designed strapdown homing guidance system with strong tracking Kalman filter can attack the maneuvering target effectively, and satisfy the performance index for the guided ammunition system. 展开更多

The filling mining method is important in realizing the green mining of mineral resources.Aiming at the problems of land resource occupation,environmental pollution,and rational utilization of coal-based solid wastes such as coal gangue,fly ash,and desulfurization gypsum,a new paste filling material was developed with coal gangue,fly ash,and desulfurization gypsum as raw materials.The microstructure of the raw materials was analyzed by XRD and SEM.Combined with the Box-Behnken experimental design,the effect of each component on the fluidity of the filling slurry was analyzed through the response surface analysis.The significance of each component on its bleeding and fluidity was determined,and the optimal ratio of the filling slurry was obtained.Experimental results show that the microcosmic morphology of coal gangue,desulfurization gypsum,and gasification slag presents an irregular block and rough particle surface;the microcosmic morphology of fly ash and bottom slag presents first out spherical or quasi spherical particles.Moreover,obvious sintering traces exist on the surface of the bottom slag.The main crystal mineral of coal gangue and fly ash is SiO_(2),the desulfurization gypsum is composed of Ca(SO_(4))(H_(2)O)and Ca(CO_(3))crystal minerals,the gasification slag is composed of carbon and nitrogen compounds,and the main crystal mineral components in the bottom slag sample are SiO_(2) and Al_(x)Si_(y)O_(z) compounds.The order of significance of each key factor on slurry fluidity is as follows:C(desulfurization gypsum)>D(gasification slag and bottom slag 1:1)>A(coal gangue)>B(fly ash).The order of the significance of each key factor on slurry bleeding is as follows:B(fly ash)>C(desulfurization gypsum)>D(gasification slag and bottom slag 1:1)>A(coal gangue).Considering the material preparation,field application,and other conditions,the mass percentage of each factor content of the new paste filling material is as follows:49.5%coal gangue,8.3%fly ash,4.1%desulfurization gypsum,6.2%gasification slag,and 6.2%bottom slag. 展开更多

In this article, we propose an inference procedure for estimating the unknown parameters in Cox's proportional hazards model in generalized case-cohort design and establish an optimal sample size allocation to achieve the maximum power at a given budget.
