On Oral English Teaching in Vocational Colleges

This thesis describes the current situations of oral English teaching in vocational colleges and points out the main factors of the improvement of oral English.In addition the features of oral English have been simply analyzed and some widely-used teaching methods are suggested that are beneficial attempts to train and improve students'oral English.

The Feasibility Study of Career English Teaching Reform in Higher Vocational Colleges

It has been proved that traditional public English teaching can‘t meet the society requirements for the high skilled talent-ed,while Career English teaching can help students connect English learning with their future career,which better reflects occupa-tional and practical characteristics of higher vocational education.The paper puts forwards three feasibilities in Career Englishteaching reform in order to promote teaching quality of public English teaching in higher vocational colleges further.

On the Effects of Applying Task-based Approach to Business Oral English Teaching in Higher Vocational College

A teaching experiment was conducted to investigate the feasibility and effectiveness of applying of Task-based approach(TBA) to business oral English teaching in higher vocational college.Instruments are tests and questionnaire for the experimental participants.Based on the data analysis,it can be concluded that TBA proves to be more effective especially compared with PPP approach.

RICH teaching pattern is directed by humanistic thought with main goals to develop comprehensive qualities of students,to improve English applying abilities of students and cultivate teaching qualities of students.Firstly,a brief review is presented about RICH teaching pattern including its background,connotation and gained achievements.Next,as for the important step in RICH teaching pattern-oral report,this paper analyzes its necessity and function in English class and introduces its types and application in the class.In sum,oral report reflects student-centered thought of RICH teaching pattern and is a new method to improve college English teaching efficiency.

随着汽车产业国际化,汽车专业人才对英语沟通能力的需求日益提高。本文以兰州职业技术学院为例,依托PEAP(保时捷品质实习生)项目,探讨高职院校汽车专业英语教学改革的有效途径。目前高职院校汽车专业英语教学中存在师资队伍薄弱、教学方法单一、教学资源不充分以及课程体系缺乏创新等问题。本文提出针对性的措施和对策,包括激发学生对汽车英语的学习兴趣、提高授课教师交叉学科综合能力、选择与学生英语基础匹配的汽车专业教材以及创设实境教学模式,旨在提高汽车专业英语教学质量,培养符合行业需求的复合型人才,以满足汽车企业对人才的综合需求。

我国国际地位与发展战略给大学英语教学提出新的要求,而大学英语教师职业认同是落实新要求的关键环节。该研究系统评述大学英语教师职业认同研究的发展趋势、理论立场、研究主题和研究方法,并通过与国际外语教师职业认同研究的对比,发现此方面研究尚属新兴阶段,研究总量少,理论立场尚需探索,研究主题有待拓展,研究方法亟需规范。基于此,该研究从理论立场、研究主题、研究方法三个方面对我国大学英语教师职业认同研究进行展望。
