Effective diagnosis and surveillance at the early stage of OPMDs may be of help for interrupting the malignant transformation. In this review, we introduced the available non-invasive approaches of detecting the suspicious lesions, including vital staining, oral cytology, optical detection, saliva biomarkers detection, and image analysis, which can enhance the detection efficiency for the early diagnosis and surveillance of OPMDs. However, limitations which restrict the clinical application of these approaches still exist. How to improve the sensitivity and specificity of these techniques deserves further detailed study.展开更多

The analysis of the data in the narratives showed details of the health surveys and health checkups conducted during the early period of operation of ABCC. During the early period of operation of ABCC some survivors showed negative behaviors toward the health surveys and health checkups at the ABCC. However, it can be inferred that dedicated nursing played an important role in alleviating the stress and emotional issues of survivors at the health surveys and health checkups. The findings of the study could be beneficial to research into nursing activities for patients exposed to radiation at the present day.展开更多

However, this is a comparatively recent development. This paper begins with an historical overview outlining the origins of the communicative approach in Europe and the United States and noting that they arrived at a consensus for entirely different historical reasons. In China English replaced Russian as the most important foreign language a generation ago but even then the emphasis was on receptive skills. The thorny question of authenticity is then discussed. While everyone agrees that in theory authenticity is a key consideration there is considerably less agreement on how to convert theory into practice. Finally the paper goes on to note how recent practice has abandoned the teacher-centered approach in favor of the learner-centered approach and the exercise-based approach in favor of the task-based approach, The task-based approach emphasizes integrated as opposed to individual skills acquisition. Examples of integrated tasks are given in the Appendix.展开更多

Unlike the traditional language teaching approach, which puts much emphasis on the teaching and learning of language forms and skills, it regards the language process as one of learning through doing, emphasizes the central role of meaning in language use and insists that students should learn more effectively if they are fully engaged in a language task. However, due to the lack of an appropriate language environment and limited time for English study, Chinese students may not make as much progress as expected in the unconscious internalization of authentic language by focusing primarily on meaning. In fact the meaning of a language can not be separated from its form. The accurate expression of meaning depends on the proper use of language form. Therefore, in the application of the taskbased approach, we should not neglect the study of language form. This paper analyses the causes for Chinese students' low spoken English proficiency, describes the theoretical foundation and actual practice of the task-based approach, discusses its implications for teaching oral English and makes some proposals for its appropriate application.展开更多
